Luckily, the bus driver dropped us off right across from Macy's #score You can find hand sanitizer pumps throughout the store along with 6 feet apart social distancing signs. My mom loves to cook and she has her eye on the Instant Pot Duo™ Nova™ 8-Qt. 7-in-1, One-Touch Multi-Cooker. Wow, it was quite emptied this Monday morning. We took the escalators up to the third floor where you can buy home and kitchen products. My mom and I were trying to figure out how to open the Instant Pot's lid. There was only one cashier ringing up an enormous line but I spotted a sales associate folding bath towels. She tried to help us until Wendy (MyStylist) pointed out that the ones on display were locked. Wow, thank you, Wendy, for being in the right place at the right time! She showed us the remaining three boxes for the 8-quart size but unfortunately, other customers rummaged through those boxes. I am picky about those little details though. Instead, Wendy placed an online order for my mom so Macy's can deliver it to us. My mom was happy about today's successful purchase. Next time, ask for Wendy because I highly recommend her. She provided us with excellent customer service and has great knowledge of Macy's products! read more

In the past few years, I have done multiple shopping trips with my husband, and sons in the men's department at Macy's. We do not love to shop for anything, and I dread the thought of taking my sons into a store for clothing. However, two years ago we needed suits for special occasions, and we walked in and walked out within 90 minutes with head to toe suits, including shoes, from the men's department at the Elmhurst Queens Center Mall. We had successful shopping trips because of a sales person by the name of Nelson. He has great enthusiasm, and knowledge, in addition to compassion for people like my family who have no fashion sense! There was no pressure to see anything outside of the requested price range, and a lot of recommendations pertaining to what is best for occasions and body types. I actually tried to call Macy's today to find out if he was working today before we went into the store, unfortunately we were never connected to the department. We went to the department anyway, and I was so happy to find the hat Nelson was working!! We left the store this evening with a gorgeous ensemble that made a 24 year old young man feel special and good about himself. The talent that Nelson possesses is so rare in customer service these days. Do what you need to do to hold onto him Macy's, because Nelson is a remarkable asset. Thanks Nelson! Hi Friends, there's been an important change in Macy's return policies. It's important that I keep my all my yelper friends and shoppers the world over up-to-date. My wife purchased a beautiful blue diamond and Sapphire bracelet at Macy's jewelry counter. Wife previously had a large spending discretion at our trusted Macy's, without me having to be contacted. Why not?? as I had previously trusted Macy's and we've been their customers for over 50 years. Previously there was never a problem or an issue or a question making a Macy's purchase. Now I feel they're as shady as the guy selling watches out of a suitcase on the street. Everyone please be aware, Macy's RETURN policies are now completely changed. Only 2 days after buying the diamond Sapphire bracelet, it became loose on my wife's wrist and fell off. We brought the piece to our personal jeweler to be evaluated, as wife really liked it. The jeweler advised us that the chain on the bracelet was weak and the clasp was defective. To repair the piece would have cost $190. But our jeweler stressed to my wife that because of the weakness in design, it could be easily broken in the future. My wife and I discussed the findings and decided it would be best to return the bracelet to Macy's. Arriving at the store only 3 days after purchase with an expensive defective item. My wife is additionally horrified to find that Macy's return policy had changed as indicated on the illegibly small fine print on the back of the receipt. My wife was not advised in any way of this change in policies by the jewelry saleswoman. In fact, it there was a question as to whether it could have been returned at all!!? Because... I have now been able to determine that the bracelet initially priced at $4,000 was sold to my wife without tags on it ?? Making it unreturnable from the start. The sales lady also did not want to give my wife a receipt for her pricey purchase!! What is that all about?? Yes, my friends across the world, THAT'S one of the nice new Macy's return policies, if the tags aren't attached it can't be returned. Who gives a gift with the tags attached? The sales girl was well aware of the new policies, that's why she sold my wife a piece of jewelry with no tagging and did not properly explain that it couldn't be returned We WERE ..the most ardent of Macy admirers and one of their better Flushing shoppers. My wife and I spent over $10,000 at their jewelry counters alone in the last 3 years. ( check our Yelp Macy's pics posted over the years)... I'm always in the Macy's once a week looking for new things to buy. Why not?..we thought. We shop in places that we know and trust. So I guess the trust at Macy's is now totally non-existent. I wish to extend thanks to the manager who interceded in the return event. I could only participate by telephone as I was on the job. The manager was kind enough to facilitate the return of the broken item. It felt like he was doing us a favor he indicated he was doing this as a one-time courtesy... I am grateful. I found it curious that he maintained that the item was not defective or broken even though it clearly was. I have documented proof from our Jeweler The issue concluded with my wife getting store credit issued on to our Macy's card. Approximately $1,200 bucks. Too bad my wife paid the Macy card in full a day after making this purchase. I am very grateful and thankful for the managers intercessions. He was responsible for retaining our continued patronage for the future. Looks like wife and I will be doing some shopping at Macy's as we have a big credit now to burn through. Following this experience, it's extremely unlikely that we will ever buy jewelry at Macy's again. Our annual and future spending at all of the Macy's stores will be diminished dramatically. . Sucks because we go to so many Macy's. I mean Roosevelt Field, Herald Square, Valley Stream and Commack out on Long Island. We Loved Macy's and we were among your best customers. Who the HELL else is buying pricey jewelry at your counters?? Ever since I bounced off Santa's knee as an infant in The Herald Square Macy's, I was a Macy's kid ..but now unfortunately, the actions of others have made it quite foolish for us to continue spending here like Grandma owns the place. Not happy with my experience here due to the fact that there was an issue trying to return my items that I bought online which are all going to the same destination. What's the problem with returning a coat? What's the problem with adding all of my returns to the same receipt? I didn't buy the merchandise individually. I spent close to $700 on work pants, blouses and loafers to be matched with an attitude from the sales rep on the 2nd floor for women's clothing. She wanted me to sign receipts for each item although everything I am returning is reflected on the receipt that I gave her. I understand it's late, but I'd really like to be treated with some dignity while returning my items. I shouldn't feel the need to call a manager over to assist with my returns. read more

I'll be generous with my review. I normally don't engage large departments stores for shopping adventures because the scale, crowds, and lack of cashiers all make my shopping experiences extremely uncomfortable. I don't have time for lousy retail service. Anyone can find things here, and the selection is decent. But i rarely find something that i like where the prices are reasonable. If one comes in during a sale, forget it because its a mad zoo house up in here. Its a zoo on a regular day, so one can only imagine. I would still suggest this place because they do carry a wide variety and selection of name brand items. I find stuff on occasion and the physical retail stores really need consumer support. I've been a loyal customer for decades and find that Macys has become non trustworthy company. The employees are rude at the flushing Macys and I have even been harassed there when I tried to return a purchase. They over charge my interest rate on my Macys credit card by double and recently have given me very hard time in receiving a refund for a purchase I returned. Called 5 times, each time promising a refund which I have yet to receive. Canceling my card right after I get my refund. Not going to deal with them anymore. Went to this Macy's for the first time. I opened my Macy's credit card and went to the shoe department and bought two pairs of Calvin Klein shoes the sales lady was very helpful and she approached me right away. the store is very busy and the lines are fairly long but I liked the store very much. it's clean the bathrooms were clean and the racks were not messy at all. The store was pretty clean in itself the only problem I had was the parking! It is terrible and I had to walk three blocks and it cost me $10 for four hours. As anyone who grew up in Flushing knows, this Macy's has steadily declined in service and cleaniness over the years. I understand that it is a chain department store, but I don't understand how everything is always out of place, and there is never a floor associate available for assistance. I have shopped in the handbag, jewelry, men's, women's, shoes, and home departments here- and all of them are atrocious. The lack of custumer care is disgusting. They don't care if the floor is neat or in order, and especially don't care if customers need help. I avoid this store like the plague these days, but I had a last minute buy today that the website said was in stock. So I ordered early in the morning for in store pickup. *Off topic- this feature is useless and their online purchase support is garbage. More below, but overall an absolute waste of time!! So I get a confirmation call and everything goes through fine. The lady says I will get a confirmation within two hours for pickup. Three hours later, I'm waiting at the store with no result. I go to customer service and the staff at the store won't even look up my order! She said if I didn't get a confirmation email that it's ready, no on there can help me- If I had received the freaking confirmation email that my order was ready, I wouldn't be looking for help at customer service! So she turned me away without even asking for my order information to make sure nothing had gone wrong. I asked for a manager but she refused. Anyway, all in all, I wasted about 5 hours of my day. At the end I was so furious I was actually yelling on the phone at their online ourchasing/customer service. He refused to help me, refused to cancel my order, and refused to pass me to his manager. He kept repeating that I had to wait for the confirmation, not acknowledging anything I was actually saying to him. I am usually very nice on the phone because I have had a lot of work in customer service. But they were so outrageous in that they basically told me, sorry we lied but too bad. What is it about Macy's employees refusing to get a manager?? If you did your job, then I'm in the wrong and your manager would agree! Why have a phone number if no one pick up? I came here to help pick up my friend's online order. After my friend confirmed with online services that I wouldn't have a problem picking up her order. She tried calling the local Macy's to let them know that I'll be picking them up. Multiple attempts, No one picks up at the department. When I got there they told me to have my friend call in. I explained no one picked up. I told them they must've have the number on the order. They should call. She still insist my friend to call and they'll answer. Ok, she called again, no answer. This Macy's is terrible! Most of the employees are Asian-that I can understand bc it's Flushing but some of them barely know English and this is Macy's! I was at the jewelry counter browsing at earrings for my daughter and noone bothered helping me even when they saw me standing there for awhile...finally this Asian employee (female) came over to help. She spoke broken English and had no idea what I was saying nor asking. Then another customer was asking the other Asian employee (male) about if they carried titanium and he had no clue what she was asking and asked the employee that was helping me about it and she thought the customer was asking about a Macy's employee named Titi. Post Christmas Day 2015 winter coat and petticoat shopping with the fam was not enthusiastic despite of Post Christmas mega sales. Window shopping and in-store browsing became bland, boring, and lack enthusiasm with non-existing sales associate in sight. The in-store selection is very minimal. No customer service. If I could give this place a half star, I would. Of all the Macy's, this is probably the worst of the worst; I don't think I've had many good experiences here. Sure, it is super convenient for those of us who live along the 7 line or the buses in Flushing, and those who don't like crowded department stores, but do not expect personal, friendlier service as a compromise for that. Where do I begin...disorganized is what this store does best. Shoes are all over the place, and sales associates are of no help (except the Chinese lady). The impulse section is the absolute worst. There is no word in the English dictionary that can describe how filthy and terrible it is, from the sales racks, the sales people, to the dusty fitting rooms--there are literally PILES of dust that will flow in the air as soon as you walk in a room. You better be wearing socks because you would not want your bare feet on those floors that haven't been washed since its opening. The rooms are dark and the locks are broken--I've had plenty of people just open my door without a knock. The customers aren't better, and I'm pretty sure that's why customer service almost doesn't exist here. Most of them act like they're doing you a favor by checking you out. The skincare/beauty department is always full of pushy sales people if you walk in from the wrong doors. Obviously, they don't have as much of a wide range as Herald Square or perhaps even Queens Center, but I find that they do have bigger sales sections and because it is a little cluttered, it can be easier to find some things. They definitely do know their customers at this store, so they sell a lot of high-end skincare brands like La Mer, SK II, and La Prairie. read more

This Macy's is bare bones minimum shopping. They have a bad layout and not enough higher end selection of brands. I only run in when I need something specific and because I have Plenti points and tons of coupons. There's a much bigger selection and cleaner layout in Douglaston or the Manhasset location. If it wasn't on my way home I probably wouldn't even bother. The pros: convenient to transportation and it is after all, still a clothing store. Good spot for bargains for those that have more patience than me. Lol I like perusing the racks too but they are not very organized. read more

I hate this Macy so much. They ruined my credit score. I went into the store talked the the manager and called Macy customer service line. Told them unauthorized purchases were made in my card. I did not know about these purchases. They didn't send me any mail or emails. They made it seem it was my fault. Customer service in the store was horrible. Had the worst experience ever at this Macy's. Unauthorized purchases were made on my Macy's card which I did not know about. I didn't find out until months later. Macy's did not try to contact me at all. I was a victim of a crime and I had to pay. For all unauthorized purchases made on the account and late fees which I knew nothing about. Destroyed my credit score. Scammed by Macy's and got my credit score destroyed. Macy's don't care about what's happening to their customers. If their a victim or a crime or fraud. I was over charged for a few sweaters as the sales associate said discounts were no longer 50% off while plaques everywhere clearly stated 50% off with out any timed restrictions and the website was down so I couldn't prove anything. So I purchased the sweaters. Later tonight I check online and Macy's website stated 50% off all day on black friday. This is not the first time this branch has done this type of thing. Flushing Macy's is going both high end and low end. Also, prices for too many nice items are too low, so many great deals during the Pandemic. 大量打折商品，價廉物美。太多高檔化妝品牌， 同時也在3樓新開了便宜的部門。 On the high end side,the entrances have an expanded beauty department with a few more luxury beauty brands, it now features La Mer, La Prairie, Cle de Peau, Dior, Chanel, YSL, and of course the most popular Estee Lauder and Shisheido, etc. Coach, MK and Marc Jacob handbags have taken a back seat. The atmosphere and the decor does feel luxurious there. On the low end/discount side, Macy's Backstage just opened in July 2020 on the 3rd floor. There you can find Marshalls/TJMax treasure hunt experience. Don't miss out on the yellow ticket items, those clearance prices are incredible. And interestingly, they also have a counter that locks up luxury handbags like Prada, Ferragamo, Tory Burch, Burberry, Chanel, etc. at discounted prices. Not sure how well those will sell. There are many unexpected finds too, for example, I bought a $6 TV antenna there and it works well!!! But of course, the nice upper-middle market products with great discounts is what I like Macy's the most. Keep this going! The foot traffic is still there, but hopefully it will still make economic sense to keep the store open in the up coming lease renewal negotiation with the landlord, and hire back more employees when the Pandemic is over. Now is definitely not the time to replace the biggest store in Flushing with more luxury condos in the neighborhood. read more

I just bought 2 pair of jeans today, i went home tried it, one fits well the other little small. I went back the same day to return it with the receipt and the girl at the counter told me i can't return it since the tag is not attached to the Jean, i asked her if this is a new policy, she said read the receipt. I told her the receipt does NOT say that and i asked her if she knows how to read? I told her i shop all the times and this is not how It works. I asked for the Manager, the manager never came and finally after wasting my time she decide to accept my return and told me; I don't like you. Her name is Sonia ( Spanish girl with heavy accent) guys don't let them fool you if you don't speak English, she thought i didn't speak English and her English it's very hard to understand, i also told her if she doesn't like the job then should quit. read more

I recently bought a 8 piece bed set online to be delivered and picked up in store. The representative at the online pickup counter was very polite and professional. I was able to buy three 8 piece bed sets and returned one because one of them was previously returned. I was able to go to the originating department and return the item without an issue. They were really nice about it and stated that I really didn't need a reason at all to return it. The representative also helped by saying, instead of returning it, I would also exchange it for another that might be in stock. Overall, great experience. I sometimes come to this Macy's with my wife. And I feel as if you are bombarded by the perfume/makeup ladies whenever you walk a bit too close to their section. Second floor fittings rooms are disgusting. Mountains of clothes hanging and on the floor inside cubicles, while customers try their clothes stepping on them. I left my merchandise and went to Harold square. I'll never go back to this flushing store. read more

My local Macy's located in Douglaston closed down recently (finally..), and coming here to Flushing, this Macy's is just as bad. It's prime location if you live in the immediate area, or you're taking public transportation, but there is absolutely no street parking nearby. Inside, most of the associates are dismal and seem like they don't want to be there. In both the Men's and Women's sections, clothing racks are in disarray. The clientele that shop here have the worst taste in manners as well. I've seen shoppers get tired, and then they decide to sit down on top of a display table of $100 cashmere sweaters. So when I called her back, she apologized, that she had gotten busy, but would look before her break. So I called back, she found it!!! YAY!!" I must commend her! Had few bad experience here in cosmetic dept. especially at "Chanel counter and estee launder " when u buy stuff they act like the most nicest person on earth but when you try to return something thy tell u it's not returnable. How to write this review? The GOOD: + When you hit up with the right salesperson, they are the most helpful, friendly people that can really help you with what you want to get. Such was the saleswoman who helped me decide on my necklace chain and earrings. + It's near my house. I don't need to take a train, but it's right at the 7 train station. I just walk. I need to give this Macy's SOME credit for that. + It's got nice selections when luck comes your way. + I have gotten many compliments with many of the dresses I've bought here. The BAD: - It's so messy it's embarrassing. This is (my) Macy's? - There are more rude, obnoxious, brusque salespeople then there are nice ones who I so badly want to flip the bird at. - Limited selection compared to the sister chain in Herald Square. The UGLY: ~ Said salespeople tend to abuse customer rights, because many of the customers don't speak English and they take advantage of the language barrier. I found that in the Watch department, they tried giving me really bad watches when I saw better ones in the display. It took a half-hour of arguing to finally get my Fossil watch, and when I threatened to speak to the manager because they kept giving me bad ones, one had to nerve to ask how I knew of such things. So dear guy who works downstairs, I am a big boy who can take care of myself in the store. I really don't need any assistance and the only thing I need is for you to take my money and put my things in the bag. I don't need you to ask me how I'm doing. You don't need to refill my water or clean up my table. Just smile and take my hard earned money. Maybe not even smile. I don't care. But please don't start talking smack about the customers who you just served. You can have all the fun coworker customer-bitching session afterwards, but not in front of another customer. Oh I also liked how your colleague enjoyed your humor. It's like a giant disrespectful orgy with the biggest positive reinforcements on the most negative things. Oh and the customers before me didn't even deserve it -- they just asked a couple of questions. I also liked how in the middle of your little conversation with your colleague someone else came up to you and reminded you that you forgot to take off the security tag on an article of clothe. "Oh I removed one but I didn't see that other one!" Smooth, big boy. You could feel the depression, apathy in this mismanaged piece of junk. Eh at least the inside is decored like a Macy's.
