Came here on Sunday afternoon and this place had quite a lot of people! But it's fine because there were lots of girls walking around asking if we needed any help choosing products! There was a huge variety of skin care stuff! I didn't realize this was a Korean brand. Everything was very affordable also! I got mascara, eyeliners, concealer and face creams! I've walked past the Korean company, Nature Republic many times over the years and I finally decided to check it out. The store's big sale made it even more enticing to do some shopping. The staff took the time to assist me and made recommendations. While I did request for samples, they unfortunately did not have any available at the time and did not offer smaller sizes for purchase. One observation I have about beauty stores in general is the unsanitary nature of customers helping themselves to test products. As an unrealistic solution, the staff recommended that I try testing the product on the side of my face myself. I have dry skin and needed a daily face cleanser. The staff recommended the Jeju Sparkling Foam Cleanser, which claims to be moisturizing. After bringing the product home, I tried it out and noticed that the scent was quite familiar, as it's a common fragrance found in other creams. The texture of the product was creamy, and I didn't notice much foam Unfortunately, it dried out my skin. In my opinion, this product seem to be more suitable for oil skin so it is falsely advertised. In terms of improvements, I would suggest that the store have the staff handle the testers instead of the customers, especially when it comes to facial products. Additionally, it's important not to falsely advertise products to avoid customer dissatisfaction. Overall, I felt let down by my experience at Nature Republic. I was excited to finally purchase Korean beauty products in America, but ended up feeling ripped off. read more

This Nature republic has been open for so many years. Its a small store packed with a-lot of items and there is always a sale or a turning sale wheel during the holidays. And their scents are very mild and nice. I have frequently gotten mini hand creams and nail polish. They had some great eyeshadow colors for different seasons. What I do really miss is that they use to carry beauty tools like the vibrating eye massager and eye roller went back many times and they just don't carry or make it any more. I like checking out Nature Republic whenever I'm in the area as they always seem to have sales going on. This time there were some items discounted to $1/$5 displayed in the front. I wish they had a sink like the location in Koreatown did. I had wanted to test out nail polish colors but there were no cleaning pads to wipe off the polish and only a bottle of almost empty nail polish remover. There were no disposable applicators for their makeup either which was a bit disappointing. But I guess if you're shopping for skincare products that doesn't really matter too much. We shopped here Mother's Day weekend May 2022 and everything was 50% off! I always love Nature Republic and was super bum when all the LA stores closed down during Covid. So I knew I had to stock up there! They had a spinning wheel for free gift but they just gave us a big package of everything with every $50 purchase. They would not budge for a 2nd gift when our total was $97.xx though lol But it's okay, their quality is good and their prices are affordable unlike other Korean brands. I never had allergic reactions to their products and the store has a much extensive selections than online! Love nature republic, I first found them on amazon and ordered their aloe for a bug bite. I was surprised to find they had a physical shop in flushing! One thing I love about this store is that they have helpful staff and most of all, pretty insane sales! They give you a discount from liking them on yelp, along with heavily discounted skincare products that are close to the "shelf life" for a fraction of the price online. I always get greeted at the door, I get my personal space to shop around until I need assistance (THANK YOU!!!), and staff members are knowledgeable about their products whenever I need a recommendation! Love their nail polish but this location doesn't seem to care much for customers. I wasn't greeted when I recently visited being that there were 5 staff huddled together talking about the most random things. I visit this location at least twice a month and same thing always happens. The only time someone came up to me was because I was holding something in my hand and the staff offered me a basket but rudely threw her card into my basket. Also, if you spend $50 and up, you receive a gift. It's displayed at the cash register and the staff obviously knows how the incentives work but didn't tell me. Also, he answered all my question and concerns about the store's products. I like how he has tried most of the products in the store to be knowledgeable about sensitive skin. In terms of customer service and product line, it blows the other competition out of the water. Jenny is so sweet and knowledgeable--I adore coming to this store for her alone. I asked Jenny what pink lip tint and glitter eyeliner she had on, and she was excited to show me the exact products from the store and advise me on how to use them. She enthusiastically assisted me and another customer, even though her shift was over. The other employees are very nice and good at their jobs as well. The prices are extremely fair. With a quick search of two products online, where I do most of my makeup shopping, I was pleased to see that the markup is minuscule and can be made even smaller by the 5% student discount. I purchased the By Flower Triple Mousse Tint 4.5g #02 Orange Mousse ($13.90 in store, $12.46 on Amazon) and the By Flower Eyeshadow #33 Aurora Pink, which was $8.90 in store but sold out everywhere online (making this store even more invaluable). After using some of Nature Republic's makeup products for the first time, I've become a huge fan. The Aurora Pink is a beautiful glittery eyeshadow that will make you feel like a princess. It's forgiving in that it looks good with minimal effort, even if you're a newbie like me at applying eyeshadow. The lip tint comes in pink, red, orange, the last of which is very bright, but can be blended into a lovely peach color. With this selection, you can go for those popular gradient lips looks. The lip tint lasts surprisingly long, simply fading a bit when you eat without coming off or leaving patches. Best of all, they're lightweight and do not make your lips look cracked or dry. Goodbye, desert-dry matte lipsticks. The quality of the products already speaks volumes, but the excellent customer service and fair pricing are what make this branch a favorite for me. read more

Love Nature's Republic! In terms of Korean beauty products, they have tons of great beauty products, and aren't as pricey as Tony Moly, The Face Shop and Club Clio. In particular I love their eyebrow pencils and their face oils and washes. WORST Branch I've ever been. Union square branch by far the best. Terrible customer service. I went 2 days in a row. First day, I talked to an employee about these buy 10 get 10 free face masks and he told me that you have to get 20 of the same face mask and second day I ask a different employee who tells me that no, it's okay to mix and match. Also the employee from the first night didn't even say hi when I walked in, kept talking to his fellow coworker and wasn't till I stood by them for a while and started to talk and make eye contact did I receive any form of customer service. Day 2, the cashier was beyond dumb. Swiped my new gift card 5 plus times to tell me that "there no money on this card" like what??? THIS IS A NEW GIFT CARD WITH at least $30 bucks and yet she tells me that there's nothing on there? What's even worse is that when you buy up to a certain amount in $$ you're supposed to get free gifts and she didn't even give me my free gift for purchasing $25+ worth of products till I mentioned it to her that it says I'm supposed to get a free gift. OVERALL too many brand new employees who don't know what they are doing. Poor customer service. Highly pigmented. Today we return just to see what's new and bought their Aloe Gel, the price was affordable buy 3 get 1 free. Bargain! I also bought the Super Aqua soft peeling gel $11 and nail polish. Their customer service was fantastic, they were very helpful and friendly. They were hands on and patient. This store was open for shipping all through COVID and I cannot tell you how many bottles of their AMAZING smelling hand sanitizer I bought. I would say I place an order to be delivered every week or two- YES! You heard that right. The sales are irresistible! And their skincare is top notch and not as heavily scented as many other Korean brands I've used (which is a LOT of brands). Their makeup is great too but I've barely put on makeup this year. The staff is amazing! They all know me and Jenny, the manager, even knows my voice! They give me a lot of extras for being a good customer. I should mention they ship in the U.S. with a mere $15 (pre tax) order. Go to the website and you'll see everything I say is true. I generally email in my order and call to pay, but that's not necessary. Their loyalty program is also great and you quickly build up $5 credits.
