The plush toys are arranged on multiple shelves, with some still in packaging. To the right, there are skincare products in pastel-colored boxes and containers, likely for sale. The background includes digital screens with cartoon animal images, contributing to a playful and colorful store atmosphere.

4.5 stars. Tangram's newest store, Tokimo, had their grand opening this past Saturday. This new Asian beauty and lifestyle shop is located on the first floor near the 39th Avenue entrance (right next to the 85C Bakery). Inside you'll find some of the most popular Asian makeup brands like Fwee, Round Lab, and Dasique, along with fragrances, skincare, plushies, and more. It's such a fun store to window shop! I walked in not needing anything but still ended up leaving with a few products. Prices are really reasonable for most of the makeup, imo. And I loved being able to test the items before purchasing, which you can't do when shopping on Amazon.

Several customers are browsing products, and the store is well-lit with ceiling lights. The store layout includes multiple display sections with digital screens and merchandise, and the floor is shiny and reflective. The store's signage is visible at the entrance, indicating the brand name Tokimo.

I don't do make up, but I love an Asian skincare shops. This one is brand new in Tangram and what I liked is that there were a lot of information flyers posted around the store that told you what products were best for what type of skin. And though I only purchased a face mask, I see myself coming back and purchasing more because this place wasn't overwhelming. It's a great addition to Tangram!

The display is neatly arranged, showcasing different shades and packaging of cosmetics.

There's a new beauty shop in town to compete with Eve, Eve, Morning Glory, Valentine, etc. Everyday…read moreBeauty just opened up in the New World Mall and it carries Asian brands. I've seen Japanese, Korean, and Chinese so far in facial care and hair care. And BB creams! What a selection of BB creams! The staff here was very helpful too. They approach and ask every now and then to make sure potential customers aren't lost and confused (might feel awkward if you're just browsing). I bought some sunscreen here and they gave toner/emulsion samples. (I like freebies =D.)

That's especially true for items that are in vogue, like tamanohada shampoo. + They've got lots of testers for makeup products. Cons: - It's not cheap... But it's not insanely expensive either. For example, Dr. Jarts BB cream is a whopping $44 here, but $39 at Sephora. You can get a lot of this stuff online for cheaper, but then you have to account for the cost of shipping/buying the minimum to get free shipping, etc. I think this is a great place to buy a one-off product or discover something new, but I think they would need to provide discounts for large purchases in order to make their prices competitive when purchasing larger hauls. They do like to include free samples with purchases, but that just ain't the same. - The folks who work here will almost certainly keep a very, very careful watch on you while you shop. Sometimes they follow right behind me the entire time. This doesn't bother me terribly - it's pretty standard in Taiwan, where my family's from - but I can see someone getting really peeved about it. I'd recommend having a pretty good idea of what you want before you come here, especially if you don't speak Chinese.

The lady who facilitates you trying on wigs tells me that she can't let me try on the display wig in the front but that she can let me try on completely different wigs. I asked if it was because they didn't have this one in stock and she tells me that they have plenty of them in stock but that she cannot open a new package to try on and I can't try on the display. I let her know that it wouldn't be helpful for me t try on a completely different wig and to then purchase one that I haven't tried on because they won't let me try on the display but will sell me untried, unopened ones of that display wig. I proceeded to leave but figured I'd give the store a try so I approached a guy who was the owner or manager of the store at the cashier. The line was without any customers at that time I approached and I had waited my turn so I can speak to him. I asked him if there was a policy that they had indicating I could not try on the display because that's what I was told out back. He said that wasn't true but that if they didn't have any new ones of that display the obly one I could buy world be the display. I told him that I was just told that I couldn't try the display and that there were plenty of new ones in the back. He then looked confused and said well, that's just because once we open a new package we can't sell it. He then proceeded to take a customer and I waited to the side so he can finish helping me as he said he would. He didnt. He took a 2nd customer after the 1st one that I had the patience to wait for and completely ignored me while I stood in front of his register. Sad that I've been coming here for years and this is how they treat a customer. With complete dishonesty and neglect. Never again.
