Goodness when you first walk in there was a lovely gentleman who made me feel so at home!! I loved his energy!! There was also a lady working behind the counter as well and she was very helpful and cute with her personality also! I love how they do this mixture bath essential oil option where they can literally make you different soaps and bath scrubs, pretty much anything you would need for the bathroom! It's incredibly personable, but I didn't need this for the evening. Instead, we ended up getting the pack of three soaps with a freebie and I got the lemongrass and magnolia smell. Goodness the lemongrass was so delicious. That's my new favorite!! My boyfriend liked that one also and we bought two bars of each And it even came with a little mini loofah inside the circular soap bar!! The scent had hints of an oil I'm allergic to. The associate quickly escorted me to a sink with an antimicrobial hand wash to rid my hands of the spray. She was so attentive and understanding. Great products and worth the money, I love the soaps they have especially the honey comb one, lavender and the all green one. I use their soaps to wash my face as well as the boil oils to moisture my face mixed with moisturizer cream which has no oil in it. I normally get the magnolia 1oz oil but this time around I bought the big 4oz oil to get more of what I paid for it as a bargain so I don't have to come by often. There was one salesperson on duty, and he started talking to me like the second I walked in, but in a charming, disarming, somehow not overbearing way. Within five minutes, he had asked me all about myself, and I had told him what must have been most of my life story while he pretended to be fascinated. It was some serious Jedi shit, and even though I knew he was just closing, I wanted to reward him for his skill with a well-earned sale. I told him I wanted to buy soap for my friends, and he gave me some helpful recommendations. I ended up getting a magnolia shower oil and a bar of honey almond soap, both of which smelled fantastic. I spent $35 on soap in under ten minutes, but I have no regrets except that I was automatically signed up for the email list, which I unsubscribed from immediately, no hard feelings. I haven't followed up with my friends, but I'm assuming this soap brought them lots of prosperity, or at least bubbles and clean skin. This place is so cute! I was on vacation at the beginning of February and staying in a hotel in Williamsburg and wanted some unique gifts to bring home. I'm glad my Hubs and I stopped into Soap Cherie on one of our walks. All of their products are made right in Brooklyn. The sales lady said the bar soaps were "Buy 3, Get 1 Free." At $8 a bar, it's expensive, so getting 4 for $24 ($6 each) felt better. We bought a bar each for my family members and friends, and later, I bought one for us to try after they sent us a coupon for $3 via email. We got the Lavender, Mud Bar, Cocoa, and two Honey Almond bars. They all smelled good but not overpowering. For ourselves, we tried the Honey Almond bar that has a cute "honeycomb" on top. Oh my God, it smells so delicious! We were bummed that it melted so fast but it's made with good, natural ingredients so it's just part of the territory. I went yesterday for the first time since ..well you know I've always loved Soap Cherie because i rarely indulge myself but i absolutely love the products & fragrances here. i went on yesterday , 95 degrees & humid sticky, I had my dog in a stroller (yes, i'm that woman ) The shop was warm & welcoming as usual. Kayla, was the associate who was working, she was masked up as protocol as was I. I started to browse and as always, but especially now..Kayla made sure that prior to browsing & touching products, she walked me over to the sink, and aseptically gave me a soap scrub product to wash my hands thoroughly, she turned on the faucet and was ready with the paper towel. Not only did this feel amazing, but as an RN, this is vital for infection control. I told her this is an awesome way to both sample products but to prevent the spread of this horrific virus. Soap Cherie is just the best. Even when you think you've used the best soap at a treat-yourself-affordable price, Soap Cherie finds a way to top that. For a while, I'd been walking past this store on my way to and from work. The cute little cupcake soaps in the window always drew my attention but I'd never thought I'd be really interested because I thought it was too cutesy. One day, I was in the bookstore next door. The scents and smells from Soap Cherie invited me in and the rest was history. Since then, I've bought many soaps, the body lotion and the hand shit. The soaps are hand made. All of the ingredients are natural and the soap appears to be primarily made of essential oils, so it's very moisturizing. However, I also think that makes the soap dissolve with much ease. One soap seems to last for about two weeks. I'm a relatively petite person, so if you're a larger person it may last for even less. Using the soap in the shower really makes me feel like I'm taking care of myself. The lotion is great too. I have the magnolia scent, which I think is the best one. It's a great alternative to perfume especially at the $30 price point. It's super lightweight but you're not sacrificing in moisture. It also seems to have some essential oils. This product seems to last about a month, definitely making the price-point a "treat". Lastly I can not rave enough about the Hand Shit. I bought some last year as Christmas gifts. The dry cracked hands of winter became a thing of the past. This balm is very nice and not greasy. A little goes a long way, making a great value for $18. I also got the body oil candle. Haven't tried that out yet but just like everything else, it smells delicious. As you can see, I could go on and on about each product. Every one is definitely worth a try.
