I always like it here. The soaps are fantastic. I love them in the shower. I was there on Labor Day weekend and they had a promo going where if you got a certain number of soaps you could get a free small size body oil. The sales associate who helped me (I don't know her name, but she was a young woman with dark curly hair) was great and super-helpful. Thanks SC, I'll be back! read more

Such a freaking cute little Store!! I actually forgot my soap and my Boyfriend soap was a little too masculine for me so as we were driving home, he took me by this particular place! Goodness when you first walk in there was a lovely gentleman who made me feel so at home!! I loved his energy!! There was also a lady working behind the counter as well and she was very helpful and cute with her personality also! I love how they do this mixture bath essential oil option where they can literally make you different soaps and bath scrubs, pretty much anything you would need for the bathroom! It's incredibly personable, but I didn't need this for the evening. Instead, we ended up getting the pack of three soaps with a freebie and I got the lemongrass and magnolia smell. Goodness the lemongrass was so delicious. That's my new favorite!! My boyfriend liked that one also and we bought two bars of each And it even came with a little mini loofah inside the circular soap bar!! I will definitely come back to this quaint little spot again when I need more soap and when I'm visiting New York!! read more

I will NEVER be going back to this store again. As a loyal customer, I absolutely love their products but when I went into this store, the bald headed sale person was sooo rude and condescending. I received a promotion text about a free mini oil with a purchase of $30.00. When I asked about it, he stopped his conversation, looked at me and it seemed as if he was annoyed that I interrupted and then said " sorry but that over. It was only for the weekend ." "I should have received it". When I went and checked online, that promotion is still available and valid. Like, why wouldn't you honor it and then lie? I'm sorry to say, but the previous sale ladies were better with their customers. Thumbs down for this location. read more

We stumbled into Soap Cherie in a recent trip to NYC, and I received some of the best customer service from Cat. I loved the in-store experience so much that I purchased a box of products to be shipped to my house - which showed up just a day after I returned home. I highly recommend you stop into Soap Cherie, even if it's just to try out some products. read more

Oh god yes. Had a whole scrub/oil/lotion sensory experience here and I must say it was sensory overload in the best way possible! The woman working in the store asked me if I wanted to test some of their products and I went for the musky option and it was the Orchid series I made everyone smell my hands for the rest of the evening, and yes, it was as awkward as you imagined, though enjoyed by all!!! I love Williamsburg. read more

Soap Cherie - Apr 22- YAAS. Got a great scrub/oil/lotion experience and hands are soft as ever. Try the Orchid sent if you like a bit of musk! - Cosmetics & Beauty Supply Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

My favorite place for natural, best smelling skin care. Always friendly, professional & clean (this nurse loves this) upon entering this quality, neighborhood, female owned shop, you must sanitize your hands..& most important, BEFORE COVID, clients were given the sugar scrub of their choice to wash with before touching anything in the store. So important! The best way to see & feel the most amazing smelling body scrubs, and i've tried a lot! I got so many compliments, you know, when we used to work & go out for drinks! Using the scrub & shower gel & lotion layer lasts all day..12 hour nursing shifts, that's a great thing. I look forward to showering after a busy day & having to wear no perfume to go out with because this smells so great & softens my skin. Love this place & took my niece & bought her a gift set & she raves about it read more

I have been to this store a few times. The store is beautifully designed and smells lovely. The customer service can be hit or miss at times. I usually try to come during off peak to get the best service. I like the soaps but, the bubble bath and bar soaps are good too. However, I feel that the price is a bit more expensive for the quality. I usually get the cake soaps for hostess gifts and small gifts. read more

Strolling down the sidewalk on the 1st weekend of Spring, we stopped in Soap Cherieto see if classes would be soon returning. Immediately we were greeted pleasantly and offered sanitising spray. The scent had hints of an oil I'm allergic to. The associate quickly escorted me to a sink with an antimicrobial hand wash to rid my hands of the spray. She was so attentive and understanding. We resumed our conversation about loaf purchases while browsing the cute displays. Hopefully they will offer a zoom soap making class with a curated kit or resume a socially distanced class. read more

I passed by the other day on a Friday afternoon. The soap smelled really good. So I bought some. I bought some really fragrant oil that ppl keep complimenting me over. I had a nice conversation with one of the two women who were present. What a calm and beautiful store. I love the soaps. So many options. I also bought a smudge kit for my daughter. Just wholesome. **Review includes company background, product specifics, customer service, availability and discounts!** Variety of handmade products by a female-owned company, with several fragrances, colors and textures for your senses to enjoy. The soap is high quality, individually cut, with oils and other ingredients that nurture the skin. It's soothing and leaves a scent that's sweet without being overbearing. The shower you take is uplifted by a beautiful scent every time! You smell it when you put your nose to your skin, which I feel is best. Your significant other will appreciate the smell and taste as well! Scents used for all products are completely unique. It's not like other companies that just use "banana" or something. The flavors here are like none other! Body scrub exfoliates very well and comes with a tiny spoon to put just the right amount on. Body scrubs and lotions are available in unique flavors. The lotions feel great and leave a stronger scent than the soap, for some time, which is appropriate. Customer service from management can't get better.. Jessica taught me to properly use the scrub. I'm new to scrubs/lotions and she was patient in providing information and making sure I was 100% satisfied with my purchases. I've tried a bunch of other hand-made and organic soaps, but it can't compare to Soap Cherie's quality. During pandemic days, Soap Cherie has adjusted and provided deliveries, which are always free of charge due to the size of my order. The store is also open if you'd like to stop in. On top of everything, Soap Cherie offers customer loyalty cards, and occasional emails (no spamming) letting you know when a great sale is happening! read more

Great products and worth the money, I love the soaps they have especially the honey comb one, lavender and the all green one. I use their soaps to wash my face as well as the boil oils to moisture my face mixed with moisturizer cream which has no oil in it. I normally get the magnolia 1oz oil but this time around I bought the big 4oz oil to get more of what I paid for it as a bargain so I don't have to come by often. Even the small ones last 3 or more months depending how much you use on your face or body. read more

My friends bought their first home recently, and I went to go visit them while I was in New York, like a week after they moved in. I wanted to buy them a little gift, and as I walked along Bedford, browsing the various shops, I came across Soap Cherie. I went in, remembering the possibly bullshit Korean tradition (just something my mom told me once and that I took to heart) of giving soap to new homeowners, the bubbles symbolizing prosperity or something like that. It was a cute place, cheery and bright, with soaps in all kinds of lovely shapes and colors. There was one salesperson on duty, and he started talking to me like the second I walked in, but in a charming, disarming, somehow not overbearing way. Within five minutes, he had asked me all about myself, and I had told him what must have been most of my life story while he pretended to be fascinated. It was some serious Jedi shit, and even though I knew he was just closing, I wanted to reward him for his skill with a well-earned sale. I told him I wanted to buy soap for my friends, and he gave me some helpful recommendations. I ended up getting a magnolia shower oil and a bar of honey almond soap, both of which smelled fantastic. I spent $35 on soap in under ten minutes, but I have no regrets except that I was automatically signed up for the email list, which I unsubscribed from immediately, no hard feelings. I haven't followed up with my friends, but I'm assuming this soap brought them lots of prosperity, or at least bubbles and clean skin. I'd recommend Soap Cherie if you're in the market for nice-smelling bath products and friendly conversation. read more

I came back a few days later to purchase something and a different person was working and she was extremely rude. I walked and said hi and she ignored me, but was super chatty and helpful to someone else who came in after me. Have you ever been accosted by those deranged 'beauty consultants' in the mall that force you to try their bogus skincare products (I can't be the only one)? This place is like that, but if the beauty consultants were nice, non-pushy people with legitimately awesome products to show you. So I guess it's not really like that at all, except for the skincare angle. In any case, their Dead Sea Salt Scrubs are the only beauty-ish item I've ever wanted to actually buy after someone insisted I try it. I didn't buy it, because my skin is already as soft as a velvet pillow filled with feathers made of clouds.* But my lady did, and if my skin ever stops being so damn flawless, I'll steal it from her. Plus, they have cupcake soaps. And if you think you're too good for cupcake soaps, I think you've got another thing coming. ____________ *I was going to say as soft as a baby's bottom, but I prefer not to spread around the fact that I've touched baby bottoms and that I actively compare my skin to theirs. read more

Dead Sea Salt Scrub & matching SoapCherie BodyLotion will have your hands feeling like you never worked a day in your liiife! So I went in specifically looking for a simple oatmeal bath salt and found one that was mixed with oatmeal, milk and honey smelling absolutely yummy but not too strong. There was one lady who was working and she was very nice and not pushy at all. There was a buy 2 and get 1 free deal going so I bought 3 and used my yelp coupon. Make sure you try the dead sea salt scrub and matching body lotion before leaving, you'll thank me later! One of my favorite things was the wonderfully scented candles that turn into a warm massage oil--nice!! As I was checking out I saw the cutest pack of gums with funny sayings on them like "have a pack of shut the hell up!" They will certainly see me again! I was simply looking for a soap without all the chemical ingredients but I found much more! read more

So I wanted some spa time with myself and found this cute little gem of a store to get some bubble bath bombs. Think Lush but for Brooklyn! The moment I walked in I was joyfully greeted by the owner or manager, I didn't get her name, oyvey sorry! Similarly to Lush cosmetics, she told me that all their products use all natural ingredients and crafted locally in Brooklyn. Love it! It is on the pricier side, but they will give you discounts if you buy a lot, which I did, because places like these make it really hard for me to say no to everything they have to offer. Dangerous for me to be here too long ! Everything is just so cute, fun, and delightful to the ol'factory senses. At the counter there are a bunch of smaller inappropriately labeled fun stuff like the "hand shit" which the hefty $18 price tag for a small pot had me hesitating at first, but now I'm so glad I got it. I have the most amazing hand shit I carry in my purse now, which keeps my hands lusciously soft. I had fun in here, thanks for taking care of me ladies! read more

This place is so cute! I was on vacation at the beginning of February and staying in a hotel in Williamsburg and wanted some unique gifts to bring home. I'm glad my Hubs and I stopped into Soap Cherie on one of our walks. All of their products are made right in Brooklyn. The sales lady said the bar soaps were "Buy 3, Get 1 Free." At $8 a bar, it's expensive, so getting 4 for $24 ($6 each) felt better. We bought a bar each for my family members and friends, and later, I bought one for us to try after they sent us a coupon for $3 via email. We got the Lavender, Mud Bar, Cocoa, and two Honey Almond bars. They all smelled good but not overpowering. For ourselves, we tried the Honey Almond bar that has a cute "honeycomb" on top. Oh my God, it smells so delicious! We were bummed that it melted so fast but it's made with good, natural ingredients so it's just part of the territory. Next time I'm in Brooklyn, I'm definitely going to get some more soaps. read more

I went yesterday for the first time since ..well you know I've always loved Soap Cherie because i rarely indulge myself but i absolutely love the products & fragrances here. i went on yesterday , 95 degrees & humid sticky, I had my dog in a stroller (yes, i'm that woman ) The shop was warm & welcoming as usual. Kayla, was the associate who was working, she was masked up as protocol as was I. I started to browse and as always, but especially now..Kayla made sure that prior to browsing & touching products, she walked me over to the sink, and aseptically gave me a soap scrub product to wash my hands thoroughly, she turned on the faucet and was ready with the paper towel. Not only did this feel amazing, but as an RN, this is vital for infection control. I told her this is an awesome way to both sample products but to prevent the spread of this horrific virus. We talked about this and I enjoyed trying other scents but went back to my favorite. Kayla remained friendly & professional while we discussed products and Covid. I will continue to shop at Soap Cherie for not only the products but for the extremely smart practices to safely enjoy my shopping experience! Keep up the great work and love, love your products read more

The best place to buy handmade soaps in Brooklyn.Everyone loves the unique soaps from here that I give out as gifts.

Soap Cherie is just the best. Even when you think you've used the best soap at a treat-yourself-affordable price, Soap Cherie finds a way to top that. For a while, I'd been walking past this store on my way to and from work. The cute little cupcake soaps in the window always drew my attention but I'd never thought I'd be really interested because I thought it was too cutesy. One day, I was in the bookstore next door. The scents and smells from Soap Cherie invited me in and the rest was history. Since then, I've bought many soaps, the body lotion and the hand shit. The soaps are hand made. All of the ingredients are natural and the soap appears to be primarily made of essential oils, so it's very moisturizing. However, I also think that makes the soap dissolve with much ease. One soap seems to last for about two weeks. I'm a relatively petite person, so if you're a larger person it may last for even less. Using the soap in the shower really makes me feel like I'm taking care of myself. The lotion is great too. I have the magnolia scent, which I think is the best one. It's a great alternative to perfume especially at the $30 price point. It's super lightweight but you're not sacrificing in moisture. It also seems to have some essential oils. This product seems to last about a month, definitely making the price-point a "treat". Lastly I can not rave enough about the Hand Shit. I bought some last year as Christmas gifts. The dry cracked hands of winter became a thing of the past. This balm is very nice and not greasy. A little goes a long way, making a great value for $18. I also got the body oil candle. Haven't tried that out yet but just like everything else, it smells delicious. As you can see, I could go on and on about each product. Every one is definitely worth a try. The staff will tell you that and you should believe them. read more
