If I could give 0 stars... I would. My experience at this store was appalling. The manager and two employees were extremely rude and dismissive. When I tried to express my concerns to the manager about the way one of her employees had spoken to me, she barely made eye contact and brushed me off with a muttered "okay" before continuing about her business... no apology, no interest, no accountability. Nothing. As I turned to leave, I overheard her tell the cashier that it's okay to speak to customers like that. So I returned to the register, handed back my items, and said I wouldn't be shopping at a place that treats people this way. Instead of apologizing or acknowledging the issue, the cashier chimed in, and stated "I don't like your attitude". Then the manager finally lifted her head to say something to me stating that I was the one who was being rude. While doing the return the cashier was the one being rude to me and she visibly frustrated when she was asking me for my email, name, and last name for the return. It felt like the entire team tried to gang up against me. I had been nothing but polite from the moment I walked in, asking for help respectfully, thanking staff, and even apologizing if I was in anyone's way. The real issue started at the fitting room, where the employee got visibly irritated and snapped at me and the person I was with for standing in the "wrong" spot and stating we were in her way. She was the one who told the person I was with to sit where she was sitting! I was simply trying on clothes and showing it to her. I also witnessed the employee speaking to another customer with the same rude tone, which is why I initially tried to bring it to the manager's attention. I also told the manager that I understand things may get busy but there's a way to convey your message to customers. This store clearly doesn't take customer feedback seriously and has no respect for shoppers. I hate to bring race into this, but we were the only other Asian customers in the store at the time... and given how differently we were treated, it's hard not to feel that this played a role in how we were spoken to and dismissed. No customer service at this store. Two employees yapping in front of the store by the door. Customers walk in and no Hello or Hi. Really sad about retail business. Lack of customer service and employees who do not care. It's just a job and clock in hours. Will take my business elsewhere. Stick with Manhattan or Long Island. Better service there. This Loft is the WORST! I called to ask if they carry plus size, before I could ask they put me on hold immediately. I had to call from a different line to speak to an associate after being placed on hold for 20 minutes. After I hung up, my original call was still on hold. When I visited the store, the associates were so rude. I stood at the register waiting for an associate to ring me up. They all noticed me waiting but everyone avoided eye contact. When two associates approached, one told me she was on "break" as she was organizing jewelry and the other associate asked me to wait while they finished gossiping with each other. They continued to chitchat the ENTIRE time I was being helped. The lack of customer service is deplorable. read more

This location is nice because parking is available. The store is orderly and the check out line moves fast. I saw a sale online that they have 50% off so I hop on over to this location to try on items I saw online that I liked. They did not have everything I saw online but still a good selection. In and out in less than 30 minutes, can't beat that! read more

I have been shopping at this store for a few years, and it's always a great experience. The staff is helpful, friendly and polite. I haven't been to the store since COVID, but I'm hoping to go back soon. I was surprised to see negative reviews - I have never had anything but excellent customer service and great selection of styles at this store. read more

LOFT as a company is great. They make quality clothing and they always have great discounts, rewards, and coupons which makes shopping their brand a good value. However with that being said, this particular location is not so great. This is one of 2 LOFT stores in Queens. I came here solely to exchange an item I purchased online and this was the closest location. The store itself is nice and clean and organized well but like others have said, the customer service has much to be desired. The young girl at the register clearly had no idea how to exchange my item and then apply the amount to the items I was purchasing. She spent about five minutes trying to do it as a return even though I said I wanted the balance applied to my new purchase. Finally she had to call someone over to help her. I'm assuming this girl is the manager and she definitely had a stank attitude. While she was trying to help this girl, she was addressing other workers and she was so rude. We really didn't have any conversation so I can't say she was rude to me but she certainly wasn't welcoming or friendly. While I was waiting for them to finish my transaction I was listening to two other workers try to help an older customer and again their attitude is so unhelpful and unwelcoming. After about 10 minutes my transaction was finally done. The first girl that helped me actually apologized for everything taking so long, so that was actually nice. They have a great selection but the customer service is below average. I came in to buy a suit for an interview and no one paid any attention even when I saw the sales people looking at me. What a shame! I think racial profiling goes beyond the street...and to think customers are the ones keeping businesses open! Smh. read more

I can't believe this place calls themselves a retail store. Completely lacking in customer service. Here on a Monday afternoon at 2pm and there are about 6-8 people on the line to pay and 4 associates in the store, but only 1 at the register and moving at snail pace. The other 2 women are pretending to be so busy putting clothes back on the racks while another gentleman is playing with hangers. Not sure how the corporate office still lets this place run like this. Complete waste of time....is this the normal pace for locations outside of the city? read more

While the selection of clothing found at the Bay Terrace Loft is fine, the same cannot be said for the service. The manager is unfortunately, the instigator and the rudest of the bunch. If one dares to ask the manager a question, she puts on one of those if looks could kill expression on her face, and then walks the other way because she is "busy". When I went to pay for my purchases, she happened to be there. She had the nerve to critique what I bought and made snide comments about how much I spent. I understand that the service industry can be a taxing occupation but it befuddles me how anyone with such appalling attitude was hired. If you are here to shop just be sure you don't have the unfortunate experience of getting entangled with the store manager from hell. read more

I am a long time customer of the Loft. The customer service at this location from one of the cashiers is horrible! I don't know her name but her associate # is 6786387. I had the unfortunate pleasure of her non-customer service on my last 2 visits there. The first visit my loft card wouldn't work. Instead of her offering to check the card she just looked at me. I just used my credit card to make the purchase and left. My 2nd trip there I get the same girl. Once again my loft card didn't work. Tried 3 times. I had to read the message aloud because she showed no interest it what was going on. I say to her, "I don't get my credits if I don't use my card right?" and she confirms that. I asked her to check the card her response was "if it's not working there's nothing I could do". So, I used my credit card again to make the purchase. As soon as I reached home, I called customer service, explained what happened and they took care of the problem in less than 2 mins. The person I spoke with was very disturbed and disappointed in the way I was treated at the store. She should have made that call, not me! The store was practically empty and I was the only customer online and she couldn't take a mere 2 minutes to give a customer some service. Pathetic! read more
