Bath & Body Works had lots of sales like 5 for $27. Lots of gift ideas for Easter and for Mother's Day. Smell the fragrance as you walk into the store. I tried one of the soaps and there was a sink to rinse off the soap. Look for bottles "Try Me". The bottle that I was looking for was way above my head, so look above and below. Had to leave early because it was close to noon. There were three staff. One at the register, the other putting away stock and other walking around. Lack of customer service here. Sometimes the customer service is good and sometimes it stinks. I went to pick up an order one week and there was one person stocking up items and when I went to the cashier there wasn't anyone there. Employees were all in the back chit chatting I wanted for a bit the guy stocking knew I was waiting for a cashier but offered no assistance. I told him I was here for a pickup he finally got someone to help me. Then today I stopped by to pick up an order but they weren't able to find it. It took two people to find my order and while one blond curly lady looked up my order she wasn't pleased when I scroll down my email regarding my order. I have not been to this store in years. I used to visit here a lot when I lived in NY. I especially love their Fresh Balsm candles but they have significantly increased in price over the years and the sales suck. My mother wanted to exchange wallflowers and browse so she asked me to come along. My absolute favorite scent from Bath & Body works is Fresh Balsm. There was a clearance sale years ago where I super splurged on an abundance of Fresh Balsm candles but they have not had a sale like that since. So I try not to burn them all the time. I really liked this Shea butter hand cream they had 10 plus years ago but they discontinued them unfortunately. Other than those items, I am not enticed with any other products. This experience was very positive due to the customer service and we had the store to ourselves. I wish I asked his name but the associate assisting my mother was great. My mother was struggling to find wallflowers to replace and he was very patient with helping her out. He also came over to me and gave me a paper with a scent to include me. I thought that was thoughtful and sweet. It was really nice but I don't use the body sprays. The associates at the register were also friendly and personable. Sometimes great customer service equals higher sales, which might be why this place is still in business! read more

Associates are courteous and helpful most of the time. I did encounter a not so nice cashier today, however. I notice that she was pleasant with people of certain race, but not with people of color. There was an Asian lady who was paying for her items and the cashier didn't greet her, didn't ask for a phone number and email for coupons etc. The Asian lady spoke English without an accent. My wife always has a good time here. She usually comes here for the sales and stocks up on her favorite items. I just wait at the front of the store for her. And I don't mind because it's not a store that she can spend a ton of time in. Plus, it smells really nice! The staff is always super polite. I want to start by saying that I love Bath and Body Works products. The recent customer service I received in the Columbiana Mall location in Columbia, SC was less than desirable. I walked in to spend a gift card I was given for Christmas. My husband patiently waited while I picked out around $40 in items. I presented the card to the salesperson at the counter and it did not work. She tried several times and then called another person over to help her. They talked among themselves and concluded the card had no money on it. I presented a receipt which was still inside the card holder and they said it did not match the card. That was it. They refused to honor the card. I see two issues here. First I am a potential new customer who is trying to spend more than the amount of the gift card. Second, the person who purchased the card was obviously unaware that the person who rang up his purchase did not activate or put the money on the card for him. I felt the salesperson should have at least offered to get a manager for me or looked to see that the receipt I had was legitimate and perhaps there had been a mistake. Instead, they made me feel like I had stolen the card or done something wrong. Don't worry I will not be buying anything else from your store. read more

I was very disappointed in my experience at Bath Body Works this past Friday. The sales associate that was assisting me was not as helpful as she could have been. I was trying to get the most for my money by mixing and matching items. I didnt need 5 of the same type of things for $25. The other sales associate bragged that she had just helped a gentleman put together a gift basket for his wife. I did not receive that level of customer service. I was trying to get the most for my money as I was putting together items for my daughter who was turning 16....I even asked the sales associate are there any discounts ? This location is clean, they handed sanitizer at the door and distributed shopper paper bags to carry items as opposed to the mesh. Shopping for scents can be a tad overwhelming and adjusting your mask for the scents too. However I really appreciate one of the workers there, her name is Shantel. Unfortunately, the red head Latina woman has the worst attitude for customer service. She chooses to assist certain people of race. The race of choice her attitude is very charming. As for African Americans are considered the people who are coming to steal bath and body works products. This lady needs a revamp on customer service and how to treat African Americans. I came into asking for assistance from an employee who was willing to help but, the red hair Latina Manager told the employee her service was needed somewhere else. The employee was so startled by her manager's behavior. Once leaving the store and spending over $ 100.00 in merchandise the Red Hair Latina woman had the nerve to look in bags to see if the items were paid. Never said happy holidays, but the two customers behind me who are White and didn't purchase and items were told happy holidays. After all I paid for All items but my bags were scanned for a receipt. Bath & Body Work always leaves their doors open to lure people in with the smells of all of their products and it usually works for me. They always have very pretty displays for the seasons and the products are usually very neatly organized by scents. I love that they have testers so you can try out a scent to see if you like it. Their stuff is getting pricey though, not sure if I like to spend $8 on hand cream. Their True Blue Spa line is great, again pricey but the quality is great. My mom swears by it! They do run sales, especially around the holidays, and they usually have buckets of items at discounted prices which I love to rummage through. They have pre-made gift baskets of all different products. I suggest steering away from these although they make nice gifts because they can be pricey. Just pick out a few items on your own and put it together at home, it will save you in the end. I've gotten plenty of these gift baskets and just thrown away the packaging so it is a waste of money. They are located in the Bay Terrace Shopping Area so there is a great amount of free parking to be found here. read more

They genuinely make you feel welcome when you walk through the doors. Christine and Stephanie were on the floor answering any questions and giving us tips on how to shop with all the sales to get the biggest bang for our buck!! Who does that?! They let us know about all the sales and when we realized we forgot our coupons, Mariel who was at the cash register told us it was not a problem and she would take care of it! So sweet! Great hand soap as usual but avoid their seasonal soaps. I tried some caramel pumpkin crap they had. My hands stunk so bad afterwards. I would just suggest sticking with their normal set of hand soaps that are on display instead of their special holiday season soaps. Wow! First let me say I work for a company that has extremely high expectations for their brand image and customer service and have been in the service industry since the age of 16. I have NEVER been helped in a store as good as a young gentleman by the name of Woods helped me today!! Like i was blown away. I was on the phone the whole time having an important conversation and he left a bigger and greater impression on me than anyone that has helped me in a store when i was unoccupied . He greeted me at the door, walked all the way to me and let me know about the sale that was going on and answered every question i had before i asked. Then showed me other extremely marked down products that i walked right past. I always like to stock up on the stress relief line of products when they go on sale. With that being said i had a lot in my hand and was still on the phone lol. Woods brought me a bag to hold my stuff while shopping that i didn't even realize they had from the front of the store.
