The storefront of 168 Nail Supply NY is like any other nail supplier store from the outside, despite efforts being the first building in this tiny, rundown strip mall called the Whitestone Expressway Plaza. Since it's super easy to have just missed it/keep going without ever stopping by if you don't know the location, the only solution is to actually find it by searching it up on Google Map. Besides the nail supplier store, there're a pho spot, few liquor stores, Uncle Bill's Diner, Subway, Dunkin Donuts, McDonalds, Japanese-Americanized Teriyaki One, and a Chinese supermarket not far away from Stop & Shop. Anyway, there's a huge parking lot right in front of 168 Nail Supply. People either drive there or take the Q25 Bus to the destination since itby all means a pretty far walk from Main Street. As I take a step and walk inside, I see that aisles and aisles of acrylic and gel nail supplies are being neatly stacked on the shelves. All the way towards the back, they're selling these pedicure in a box kits. I like that they've clearly stated the price if you're either paying as a member or a non-member in the end. What a steal for the two pedicure in a box kits as I later learned that it'll be about $22 for a 2-pack on Amazon. But as a non-member, I'll be only paying $6 + tax instead. So, like take your pick. Very speedy service from friendly and helpful staff. Place is kept very clean and spotless. Definitely can see myself going back to 168 Nail Supply in the future.

They also always have the cute hair bags and boxes for the wigs! Love, love, love!! Yass bitch yass!! For as much money I spend? I like to feel appreciated.

I've seen Japanese, Korean, and Chinese so far in facial care and hair care. And BB creams! What a selection of BB creams! The staff here was very helpful too. The sales lady approached me and asked me in Chinese if I needed any help but when i told her i didn't understand she spoke to me in English. I told her i didn't need any assistance yet she kept following me around for a bit. This made me uncomfortable and it was easy to tell that I was nervous and awkward, but i know she was following me because I probably came off as some creepy shop lifter or something(I kept browsing and picking up things and I had to check my money in my bag discreetly). That's one thing, you have to know what you want to buy before entering so they can take you seriously, this goes for a lot of cosmetic stores in flushing. They have a large selection of eyeliners, bb creams, skin care products, eyelashes, powders, face masks, skin care etc. What drew me into the store was the bb creams. In the glass window display at the left side of the store, you could see all the brands of bb creams like skin79, lioele, missha etc.. They sell the REAL Skin79 hot pink triple functions bb cream for $30, which is cheaper than fashion city's price, but it definitely be cheaper to buy online. They also have many powders and compacts, I saw that they had some lioele compacts, blushes and bronzers and other asian brands as well. They have so much eyeliner! There was a whole wall/rack of it in the back right hand corner. I bought the MSH eyescream gel liner which was $20.00.I asked her if they had gel eyeliner and she recommended this one stating that she had even used it on her eyes that day. They even had Dolly wink products : eyeliners,eye-shadow palettes, eyelashes + lashes case. The Dolly wink eyeliner was $18-22 dollars which is cheaper than Belle's Beauty lab in the Queen crossings mall next to mango(which sold for $25). It's a great store with a large variety of Asian cosmetics :)

I wanted a change for my baby shower coming up, as I haven't colored my hair in over a year. Jay was beyond helpful and really knowledgeable about all the products. I was concerned about the safety and fumes of harsh dyes (being 7 months pregnant) so he recommended a less-harsh brand for me, helped me pick out a color and gave me options for permanence and explained how to use everything. He made recommendations but never pushed anything which I appreciated. Not only am I obsessed with this color (it came out SO beautiful), the fumes were almost non-existent and didn't bother me in the slightest. I've been complimented on the color more times than I can count. It's absolutely gorgeous. I will definitely be coming back here for my beauty supply needs and questions from now on!
