If you know me you know I love a store of junk! To me, Five Below has the cream of the crop. This location in FH is one of my faves. One, it's bigger than you think and has a ton of stuff (just go up the escalator/elevator...you'll see). And although some items cost more than $5 I'm still about it. This time around I needed toys for a toy drive so I got a Lite Brite (remember those?) and the cutest plush! They do have the most fun plushes (sometime Harry Potter ones). Checkout is usually simple with someone helping at the self checkout station. Also, a shout out to the reusable Five Below bags. Very clean and spacious location, The escalator wasn't working but they have stairs and a elevator. Yesterday was my first time at this particular 5 below location. Nice snack section as well as their toy section for the kids or adults who collect toys, you have your marvel action figures along with DC action figures. 5 below is my go to spot for my 4 yrold son toys with out breaking the bank. Another Five Below in Forest Hills! Passed by here and want to do some affordable Christmas decor shopping and what nice store other than Five Below! What a great way to shop! I bought a nice mini pink Christmas tree with mini ornaments for $3! Bought all the colors (red, green, silver, and gold) of 9 feet tinsel garland for $3 each too and they are good quality ones! Big and chunky tinsel garlands! A 4 feet Christmas tree is $5!!! What a bargain! It is also pretty sturdy and can be your office Christmas tree or a simple tree in your home if you want to keep it simple and minimalist. Very light weight and has a carry bag with a handle to prevent dust and very convenient to be carried everywhere. Many other things like weights and fitness equipment at $5 or cheaper. Most items like household, party decorations, and self care items are at $5, $3, or $1! They also carry many types of chargers and phone accessories that you cannot find elsewhere for a cheap price! Will definitely come here for party decorations going forward! Nowhere can beat these prices! read more

We love to stop by to check out their fun Kids stuff and load up on Whoppers and Raisinets (Dark Chocolate, please). I've never walked out empty handed because there's always something I want or something cute catches my eye. You can add to your gift closet over the year with the cute stuff they sell here. The staff is friendly and I always wait to check out with a human being instead of the automated check out, so these employees can keep their jobs. read more

While in a particular part of Queens that I don't venture much in , I notice a five below across the street and I can't say no regardless if I need anything or not. The place is fairly big inside with the typical five below stuff and not 5 below stuff as well. What was a browsing around moment had turned into a 55 dollars less in my wallet situation and I ain't mad . Got some boxed candy for my office workers who eat anything especially when it's free , nerf basketball set for lunch time fun , portable cell phone charger , Bluetooth radio , cup mats and that's enough info as most stuff I will give away or put in my man closet to gather dust . I wish this had existed when I lived in Rego Park since it's right off the main drag of Forest Hills. In fact, I remember the days when there was no Five Below at all in NYC so this was a nice random find. Now it's definitely not as nice and doesn't seem to have as much as the location in Manhattan or maybe even the one in Long Island City but the staff was friendly and helpful though very much a presence as I was merely browsing to get a feel for the selection and what might be different from the stock in Manhattan or Long Island City. I didn't see any of the 50 cent water bottles so that was a letdown but I did get a needed phone charging cord that still works. Five Below in general has increased prices and I have less need for items there so it's not been the same for me as in years past but if you need a phone charging cord or some candy bars you can't find so easily (like Mallow Cups) then it's definitely worth the trip. read more

Five Below is better than your typical Dollar store though it's still filled with cheap junk from China. The store is cleverly filled with brightly colored pop culture items and cheap toys that appeal to impressionable children, who are too young to tell the difference between high quality and low quality goods. The toy section consists of smaller and more disposable versions of brand name board games, Barbie doll knockoffs, stuffed animals with fur that will probably come out the minute you take it home, etc. There's even a book section with lots of kids books, and a line of T-shirts that show you the philosophy of Five Below: mass produce the most popular pop culture icons and people will buy it, not realizing how generic it all is. For adults, there are cheap clothes, jewelry, obscure perfumes, and tech stuff. In the same way that Target has collaborations with famous designers who create exclusive "designer" (but cheap goods) for Target, I think Five Below must have some kind of contract with Pokemon, Pusheen the Cat, Hello Kitty, Star Wars, and other famous brands so that they can stock their shelves with mass produced, low cost items branded with these popular characters. There are even mini Funko Pop characters. Overall, the store is more fun to peruse than a Dollar store but don't fool yourself that anything is of lasting quality. It's a good place for "stocking stuffers" or filling swag bags for kids' parties. All of it feels very disposable. I feel sorry for any kid whose family is too poor to buy him/her toys from anywhere else. There is another Five Below in Atlas Mall, but I much prefer this one - it's clean, well-organized, brightly lit, whereas the Atlas Mall always looks like someone trashed it. read more

Your average Five Below. Somewhat messy, but a good addition to the area. The candy selection is great.

Basically all candy. Obviously geared towards kids candy galore. Sometimes you can actually find something you want not need as an adult. Your see mostly kids in there getting chips and candy. Guess you can take your kids there to kill an hour or so but pretty unhealthy I wouldn't. I did find one thing in the makeup section I wanted and could not find else where as they were always out.. Overall if you need a gift for a kid I'd try it. If your an adult with bad eating habits and you love garbage it will be your go to place. read more

A junk store trying to present itself as hip and trendy and cool. I bought something from them but it broke when I got it home, it was a piece of crap. No longer worth my time, not even just to browse if I have time to kill. To add insult to injury, they have a public restroom, but they wouldn't let me use it unless I bought something. This tells me they don't care about serving the community they profit off of, they just want your money. read more
