Would give this store a zero if i could, Went to the checkout only ONE cashier (mind you she was very very slow). The bra I was wanting to buy didn't have a tag, and she yelled at me for not knowing the brand or size (sorry it's my fault you didn't put the bra away correctly or tag it) she then tried to charge me for my dress twice and there was kids running around the store all over cutting in lines screaming, yelling awful experience overall will be boycotting. I applied for a position here recently. They were very clearly looking for people to hire. They had me move forward with the interview process. A week after scheduling the interview, I get an email THE DAY OF THE INTERVIEW saying that they decided not to go forward with the hiring process. I had spent all day getting ready and getting my thoughts aligned, just to be ghosted as I tried to join. Even if they had hired all that they needed, they need to go through with all of the previously scheduled interviews. I don't care if they sent an email saying they decided not to. I get so many, I wasn't even made aware until after getting kicked out of the meet. This is bull, take accountability. Very unprofessional. read more

The staff is beat down and it shows in the condition of the store and customer experience. This is in no small part due to ass. store manager, Kiera. I'm wondering how many others have had to work under this individual? I have heard people quit due to her management style, with descriptions such as condescending, and intolerant. Demographics and DEI might be in the dynamic here as she being in a protected class. It's just a shame these equality programs have such negative side effects. Called today looking for luggage bags, there was no option on the selection keys for me to know what department does a luggage bag belong to nor don't have any clue that there's a lot of types does a luggage bag. Anyways called and pressed 7 which is the womens and accessories thinking ohh maybe an employee would just tell me yes or no If I tell her, if I would describe to her what I am looking for. A lady answered and talked to me really rudely with sarcasm telling me that I don't know what luggage do you mean and that you called the womens department, I was like a suitcase and she said yeah that's luggage! And I'm like damn!!!! The tone and the response was just not pleasant. She could have lied or said no than responded the way she did. She just completely ruined my day. You know I worked as an Assistant Store Manager before and I hate employees like this because I would never do sh...t like that! I would ask a customer how could I be of any help to them even if maybe I don't have a clue what the customer is talking about not in a manner where a customer will most likely to not call again or shop in my store. We just spent our $500 at Macys that could have went to Khols sales goal today. Sure does need some more customer service training. Rude and not fit for the job! The associates doing the Amazon return were very nice and efficient. The reason why I gave the one star is because they have a 50% off sign with the wrong products underneath it. I read the sign and the sales associate that was with me, didn't know why it was on the wrong product. I work in retail. If the wrong sign is up, you either put the right product underneath it or you take the sign down completely. Needless to say, the associate just left the sign there. I had to use the price verify scanner and scan a few shirts just to see if it's the correct sales price. The sales associate had blonde hair, kind of young and dumb, and was clueless about everything. I worked at Kohl's a long time ago but you don't need like a fancy degree just to troubleshoot something so simple. read more

Our first time to visit this place and it was such a great place with so much clothing and unique items to choose from. We were not greeted upon entry since the employees were busy checking customers out. Cashier were friendly and helpful to those with issues and questions. They also managed a long line within a few minutes. Sales floor staff were helpful and courteous. They were also busy restocking and "fixing up" displays so that medium items were actually on medium hangers. This location is a good store and it is fresh in appearance, well lit, and comfortable temp wise. read more

I like Kohls in general as a store, but this particular one bums me out. Since it's right by Fox Valley Mall it's picked over in the extreme (try ever finding anything in a medium), and items apparently aren't even attempted to be put back in the right places. (Case in point: I was looking for a style of Levi's jeans today. I looked through the whole jeans section and found Levis mixed into all different brands, and then found all different styles [numbers] of Levis mixed into the assorted racks designated for various Levis styles. Also, sizes were not put in their right places within sections. I know this has got to be a busy store, but this section looked like they just went "whatever" and put things whatever they felt like it. The jeans were indeed folded or hung up, so it didn't appear that patrons had rifled through and messed things up.) This would be a one-star review if not for the efforts on one employee today: Heidi in the Customer Service area. I found an awesome pair of shoes (Kohls in general has good shoes) , but half a size too big. I went to customer service to ask if they could find the proper size at another store. Heidi patiently called 3 stores that were supposed to have them until one in fact did, all with a beatific smile and saintly demeanor. (I have to admit I would probably not have been as gracious in the same situation.) So one whole star goes just to her. Kohls in general is at least 3 stars (though it seems their quality is slipping somewhat, and I haven't been too thrilled with the design of their misses clothes for the last year), but this particular store needs to step it up somewhat; take a lesson from Heidi! read more

I did my last minute small appliance shopping here on Christmas Eve, and I was in trouble in the coffee maker/blender section with the three little guys playing with anything they could get their hands on. So....I was a bit stressed..... A wonderful lady help me choose some things out, and called another store when the blender I wanted was not in stock. She went out of her way to make sure I was happy, and to really help me. The checkout line was short, and I applied for a Kohl's card to get 30% off...solid! I ordered two different orders online. One pair of shoes and one skirt to wear on my birthday. And only to find out the security tags on both items were not taken out. So I had to go to the store to ask them to take them out so that I can wear. I didn't receive even a "sorry" after I explained to them what happened. Very disappointed at the customer service. Customers ordered online ship to home so that they don't need to physically go to the store. It happened twice in a row. I will shop less at Kohl's. read more

Service - not good. Quality - So-so Prices - can't be beat when they are running sales Selection - Tons. Its a toss up. I hate retail shopping so Kohl's is my go to. They are the only place that I know of to carry 36 X 36 Jeans for my husband, though they don't carry Size 16 shoes, sorry. The kids clothing and shoes are inexpensive, though Target's Now and Zen shirts caught my attention and money last time I was toy shopping. They have a tiny toy section so don't bother trying to distract the kids while you shop. The have a good selection of Nike wear for women and you can always find some pieces on the sales racks. During non sales - don't bother, they are overpriced and the quality isn't worth it. read more

I had multiple issues with the Aurora Kohl's today. I am a loyal Kohl's customer but maybe not anymore. I tried to exchange a phone clip (a christmas gift) and was told it has been too long. Waited in 2 lines excessively (first one said she couldn't help) just to be told I couldn't exchange a phone clip because it was an electronic (ummmm noooo). If you want to destroy a relationship with a customer over a 10 dollar phone clip that I wanted to exchange because I cant use it then ok. The manager was very uncaring. Oh, did I tell you my trip started with 2 jewelry associates ignoring me after I walked the entire counter and looked at multiple items??? This store sucks. read more

I've given up on shopping at this store a loooong time ago. The quality has gone downhill, most obviously. I bought a pair of black work pants for $45; they lasted two washes before threads began to show and buttons fell off. Unfortunately, their "Angels" brand jeans in the junior's section are the only jeans that fit right, feel good, and look good. So, I begrudgingly trekked over to the hellish corridor of 59/Westfield Fox Valley. First of all, it's a bit embarrassing to be over 30 and shopping in the junior's section. I mean, five years ago or so, I easily played the part of wandering the racks of obnoxious screen tees and size double 0 jeans and no one looked twice. This time, I felt like EVERYONE knew I was past the "junior" age limit and oh, should be over in misses or whatnot. I find a pair that I felt would suffice for about $40. I wandered about the shoes department, and could not find a pair of shoes comfortable enough for work at a reasonable price. I made my way downstairs to the accessories and found myself a cute watch. That about sums up my trip besides the usual checkout tactics ("Do you have a Kohl's charge card? *Gasp* No!?!? But you could SAVE 15% on your purchase today!!!") Yeah, I need another card like I need a hole in the head. Thanks but no thanks. read more

I rarely leave reviews for department stores, but I was really impressed by my cashier and her manager at the Aurora Kohl's on Black Friday. Despite it being a very busy in the store, my cashier was patient and friendly when I found a pair of tennis shoes that fit perfectly but didn't have a tag on them for purchase. She was able to promptly call the shoe department and get things figured out without making me feel like I was being a bother - even though I can imagine that she was completely exhausted from all the customers and did not want to deal with a confusing situation such as this one. Thanks to the patience of my cashier and the manager supervising her, I was able to still buy the shoes and came away as a very satisfied customer. The cashier was very patient, friendly, and helpful - I wish I'd caught her name. I will be returning to Kohl's when I need another pair of shoes! read more

This store must be pretty old because the layout is very confusing. I had to walk around the store twice to find the escalator. It is not marked anywhere and there is so much going on that I did not see it in a hall way. I took the elevator up. Again there is way to much happening in this store. I thought that putting the store by itself was suppose to save time. The shoe department. was a mess and unless you knew what you were looking for. it wasn't going to happen. I found a shoe that was not on display but I saw at another Kohls. And of course the alarm went off when I was trying to leave because the cashier forgot to take the tag off. While visiting family in the area, dropped by late one evening to look for a new pair of running shoes (they're open until 11pm on Saturdays!). The shoes were neatly organized by style and size, which made things easy to find, and the sales associate was able to help confirm the price with a handheld scanner. I don't normally write reviews but my customer experience here was so awful. My family and I just moved to this area from Michigan 2 months ago, and decided to check out the local Kohls today. We have a Kohls charge, and normally purchase all of our clothes from Kohls. A grumpy associate was giving my family and I death stares and overtly sighing at my young son and daughter browsing shirts. They make you feel very uncomfortable to check out the clothes, because how dare you not fold an item the perfect and correct way. I'm not sure why they put such a grumpy kid hating lady in the kids section to scowl at children. Manager took forever, and didn't care to hear feedback. Very snooty at this location. I overhear many great comments about Kohl's, so most people may like it more than I do. I think of their clothing and pastels come to mind. However, it's a good choice for inexpensive kid clothing and shoes, and we found a nice Pottery Barn Kids knock-off quilt for my daughter's bed. I went to this store earlier and when I checked out I was offered a 20% discount just for applying for a Kohl's credit card. The whole process took over 20 minutes even though the cashier said it would only take 2 minutes. Eventually the cashier needed the manager's assistance towards the end. The manager was extremely rude and said "I don't have time for this" right in front of us. Afterwards we still did not get the discount because there was some kind of communication error between the store and corporate. I thought Kohl's valued their customers but obviously they do not. read more

Manager Deb is incredibly helpful and patient! My brother had a difficult electronics purchase at the very last hour on Sunday night. Manager Deb was incredibly helpful despite it being so late in the evening. We had an issue on our return home and returned on Monday. We met with Deb again on Monday and she smoothly resolved the issue. We truly appreciate all of her assistance!!!! Khols is lucky to have someone as great as her! I really enjoyed my experience here. I came to look for some running shoes since I am planning on running again and a very nice employee (unfortunately I cannot remember her name) helped me try to find my size. After searching high and low, we were unable to find the correct size. She generously offered to take me to the kiosk so that I could order my shoes there (free shipping! Yes!!) and when my order fell through and I messed up, I pressed the button for assistance, and again she came to help me with a big smile on her face. Customer service was amazing! CAUTION!!!! I did not have my Kohls credit card so the clerk wanted my social security number to look it up. I said absolutely NOT. Giving out your Social Security number should never never never be done as it poses great risk to the customer in terms of identity theft. Other stores use security questions and other means to obtain an account number should the customer not have their credit card. read more
