I can always find something I need at this store. It's a great spot for vacation essentials--clothes, suitcases, TSA-approved locks, travel bottles, pillows, backpacks, and more. They carry a wide range of name-brand items at discounted prices, which is a big plus. I even pick up dog treats and snacks for myself here. Everyone else was super nice, the one thing i didn't like this visit was how pushy the lady at the check out was with the credit card. Multiple times i told her i did not qualify as i already applied in the past, completely ignored me and still proceeded to ask for my license. I don't have a problem with this but she was extremely pushy i felt harassed. read more

I love this store. There is a huge selection of products available in the store. I went in for a luggage for an international trip and I was able to pick one out of many different brands, sizes and price ranges. I like that you can browse through the store without feeling pressured but if you need assistance there is always someone available. read more

The salespeople here are so damn aggressive trying to get you to sign up for a credit card! They don't take no for an answer and keep pressing you to apply for a card even when the lines are already backing up. I just witnessed a poor mom with her young kids being harassed nonstop even after she said no several times. My mom and I come here almost every Wednesday on my lunch break, But lately I have not been wanting to go & Find different stores. It's a nice store, but the level of harassment about the store card is ridiculous. It takes more time to get checked out because of them literally ARGUING with you about it. I hate coming to this location. It's getting to the point where if my mom really wants to go, I just won't buy anything because the persistence about the store card & them not taking "I don't want to use my card today" makes me really anxious and uncomfortable. I already HAVE the card, but they still harass me about it. One visit I told the cashier that I have the card, she asked me why I'm not using it - I told her I'm paying it off right now & this woman has the nerve to ask me "Well, when's the last time you made a payment?" EXCUSE ME? They're getting very invasive. No, is a complete sentence. The staff here needs to learn harassing guests over a store card is very unprofessional. A friendly, organized, well-stocked place to shop! I can find all kinds of treasures in this store. It has plenty of things to select from. Each department is neatly organized for almost anything you need. Household items, jewelry, clothes, purses, shoes, stationary - I can always find an interesting gift too. They have plenty of selections for my grandchildren too! Clothes, books, toys and unique finds. I love the seasonal decor too. Get the credit card. A reward comes in the statement after certain spending amounts. I save the rewards all year - they don't expire - and use them all at once for Christmas gifts. Win! But here is the best part - great customer service! The employees are helpful and friendly. I've observed the management interacting with the employees in positive and respectful ways. Returns are easy too. To me, nothing is more important than great customer service - absolutely nothing. The rest is a a super bonus! read more

TJ Maxx is definitely better than Marshalls. It feels like TJ Maxx has better variety and more selection for top name brands. On the quick and cheap scale, I would rate Marshalls at 3 stars, TJ Maxx at 4, and Nordstrom Rack at 5 stars. read more

I'm so totally NOT a Maxinista. On my last visit, I tried on 8 different blouses/sweaters and walked out with zero. Almost snatched up one, but the kermit-the-frog colored sweater was just too itchy to justify my purchase. Every time I'm here, I almost buy a purse though. But the selection is a little picked over it seems. My most recent purchase included a sleeveless, blue striped Tommy Hilfiger tank with lace trim, and a matching blue cardigan (it's super soft and makes me feel like a rich lady). Total was $40. I paired the tops with a black skirt and black flats. Made an adorable work casual outfit. I will definitely come here again for clothing, but only if I have the time and patience to try things on. My past purchases include a Kate Spade necklace for $50 and I've worn it several times since, as well as a light pink, Juicy Couture one-piece bathing suit for $50 which I brought with on our honeymoon. The store is a lot cleaner than Marshall's, which is farther north on 59. Fitting rooms are roomy and bright. read more

Every time I come here, their staff is goofing around and talking to each other from across the store. They are yelling and talking about their lives as if the customers want to hear it. I'm not surprised as it's mostly high schoolers that work here, but they need to learn some professionalism. But their managers are no better as they seem to join in on the nonsense as well. I don't understand the reason for all of the talking since their health and beauty/makeup aisle is always a mess and so disorganized as well as clothes placed in the wrong sizes. Unorganized! All of their sizes are never in the correct places and there is just crap everywhere. So unorganized compared to every other TJ Maxx I have ever been to. Seems like the employees are mostly young kids who just stand around and gossip. read more

Stock moves fast and they have new clothes/styles every week if not more often. They also have a nice selection of affordable jewelry. Given the number of people in the store, it's pretty organized and they move you through the lines pretty fast. read more

I have been going to this store for the last 8 years. I had no issues and has been a satisfied customer until today. I went there to return a jewelry that I purchased online. I stood by the jewelry counter and waited for more than 10 minutes. The staff was obviously chatting with someone regarding a restaurant and a grocery store. The staff pretended she didn't see me waiting so she went on talking loudly . The lady whom the staff was chatting with saw me waiting and she appeared to be uncomfortable and was trying to cut their conversation. When their conversation was over the staff finally but reluctantly approached me . Staff was rude and she appeared to be unhappy to assist me. I was so disappointed with her service. I usually really like this store - for a TJ Maxx - this store has great selections. The people here are usually really nice and helpful, too. I had a younger girl at the checkout 3/21 around 6 p.m. - This is where training is really needed....or perhaps, finding a new person who knows what skills are involved in customer service and just basic tact. She was all about 18, if that and made one remark after another about - "I usually see the older women wear those kind of pants" - i.e., yoga pants.... "I mean, you're not old, but you're not as young as me...., but they are comfortable those "joggers".... I don't wear those anymore..... And, then a remark about yes, your metabolism does slow down when you get old - but I mean, you still look okay...." I couldn't determine whether to go to the gym or plastic surgeon for a face lift after that store experience adding insult to injury experience. read more

This store has horrible service. I had a return for shoes that I paid cash for. The shoes had never been worn and the price was clearly visible on the receipt. The bar code was faded and they would not give me cash back even though the receipt clearly stated cash back. The paper on the receipts is so thin and wears easily, so I should not have been penalized. Store credits are inconvenient. read more
