    I headed over here since my Facebook Marketplace items weren't selling. I brought a couple dining room chairs, decorative pillows, trendy artwork, and a crystal candlestick. They offered to take everything for $21 and change. I took the crystal home and they gave me $18... If you are looking to sell, they will only take "like new" items in great condition. Which is silly because after walking around the store, there was tons of garbage and dusty crap. Almost everything looked old, dusty, and not very well organized. I probably won't be back. A receipt to Goodwill is probably better than $18 and an hour of my time. Extra star because the employees were nice!

    Great finds for a lot less. Got this expensive dresser for under 100 dollars and come to find out the dresser is work almost a grand. Thanks New Uses. Also a great chair and framed picture of Chicago Skyline. All for under 150. Thanks New Uses

    This place in Aurora is hit or miss for buying. Staff is always friendly. You have to search through a lot of things, and they seem to have a lot of old stock, it could use a cleaning out. On the plus side, I have been looking for small accent items to buy for staging a house for sale and found several pieces here. I bought a small piece of Art, Candle Holder and a tall slim vase. I have also bought a Vintage Glass and Metal Drink shaker (looks like 40's or 50's deign) and a metal aluminum pitcher with Art Deco design. They have some furniture, but you need to be lucky to find good pieces. Green stickers on price tags indicate that the item is half price. I would give it a higher rating if their prices were a little lower, and they got rid of old stock This is a place you need to go to frequently, there today, gone tomorrow. There is a Clothes Mentor shop next door.

    Just west of the Aldi on Ogden, in the same parking lot at the new Clothes Mentor location.

    Ok...technically, I would do 3.5 stars. (I know, I know... but sometimes it really is the best fit!!) If I'm not mistaken the owner also has Clothes Mentor, Once Upon A Child and Platos Closet branches, so if you understand the concept of those stores, you will understand New Uses. New Uses focuses on home goods and you can either bring things in to sell (which I have not yet tried) or shop. I have been here on two different occasions. Most recently there was a sale this weekend, and with the new location of Clothes Mentor right next door, the parking lot was a mess. However, the employees were out and about to try to direct traffic. The store was also much more crowded but it was interesting for me to hear other people's thoughts on the place. There is a LOT of merchandise. They do have some good markdowns. For comparable pieces however, their prices are higher than some other thrift stores or Goodwills in the area. I was not in the market for large furniture pieces but I would look here occasionally if I was on the hunt for something. On the whole, it is a welcome addition to the empty storefronts that have been surrounding the mall. Pop in and see, they may have just what you are looking for.

    Furniture is priced lower than near by resale shops. It's a bargain and the staff are very helpful.

She finds it easy to shop online and pickup at the store. The orders have always been ready for pickup and the employees helpful and friendly even when doing returns. They have an excellent selection of rugs, throw pillows and outdoor furniture cushions. The prices are very affordable and a good value for the money. When she gets tired of something it either gets shared to a relative or passed on to a charity so others can use it.

    I wish I took photos of this place because it was huge, and I was in LOVE!…read more Connected through a warehouse there's a CB2 outlet, which has some pretty decent stuff, but the Crate and Barrel Outlet is what really made me excited. My boyfriend and I came in search of a couch, and they had so many options that were decently priced too. They had a double discount of 20% off then another 20%, which was generous! They had couches of all sizes, colors, and materials. We really wanted a couch with a chaise, but they only had couches with it on the left side, which I would say is the only downside of this outlet. Also, all of the employees are SO nice. The lady that helped us was amazing. I really wish I got her name! She was talking to us about the couch we originally wanted, but she showed us different options, gave us moving websites to get the couch delivered, and helped us figure out to my boyfriend's Crate & Barrel card on his phone because he didn't have it in person. They have a huge selection of appliances in the store and in the warehouse. A great place. It makes me excited to move out! I know where I'll be coming to get a new couch.

    All around poor experience... Starting with the back end of this transaction: I picked up a table…read more& chairs yesterday at Bob's warehouse in Shorewood. I drove back to my rental property where this would be used and assembled the table and chairs (as much as I could). When I finished with the table, I noted a large scratch and secondary, small scratch (too pics). Then, the two chairs had 3 left legs and 1 right leg (!). I reported these issues this a.m. via chat, which took well over 20 minutes. I gave up and called. A gentleman at their customer service center was able to send a replacement chair via Fed-Ex (5-8 days). That said, he indicated that I had to text pictures (not online or via call) to report the scratches. So, I was moving on to my 3rd method of contact for the day. I texted pics to the number provided, and ended up texting with the same person from the online chat. I was told I'd need to return the table at the warehouse (40 minutes away) and pick up a new table (borrowing a truck again). Their QC is apparently awful. This is what you get for "cheap" furniture. I'm currently texting with a rep who is telling me there's really nothing they can do and that I needed to open all the boxes while on the ramp (there was a car behind me impatiently waiting). Also, they ask for signature the moment the boxes are placed in your car-- there is no opportunity given for inspection upon pickup. More important, we all know that we simply expect orders to be right in the first place. I've ordered so much furniture in my life and really, I can't remember ever having an issue. The pick-up at the warehouse also wasn't smooth-- the address provided in communication send you to the truck entrance-- not a big deal, but you have to back-track 3/4 mile. Then, I was sent to the loading dock to pick up and I waited almost 10 minutes before anyone opened the door. I called (no other way to contact) and was told the dock staff was occupied (I wasn't told that 10 minutes prior when I checked in at their offices on the other side of the facility). Even the shopping experience wasn't great. I had a sales staffer that had approached upon entry and when I later approached her (after looking around the store for a few minutes), I was swarmed by 3 other sales employees. Does this tend to happen at other stores? Absolutely. That said, it usually isn't to this extent. It is hard to explain, but it reeked of an unprofessional environment. Update: I just ended this issue after over 90 minutes devoted to the this issue. They "agreed" to send the table to me... but, what an ordeal. Texting is not a reasonable method for handling anymore more than the most simplistic issue. Chats/text-based "customer service" is for when you really don't care about your customers. My advice? Go elsewhere

Dean answered my questions about current decorating trends and assisted me in finding just what I needed to help me blend my aesthetic with potential resale value in a couple of years. The price was also better than I expected. My only two suggestions for improvement would be, 1) add signage to show there was floor tile in the center of the store. I saw the sign for "decorative floor tile" but did not realize there was other, less expensive, floor tile elsewhere in a separate area, and 2) have people on the floor ask customers if they need help. I was wandering in the wrong area and 4 different employees either stood talking to each other or were putting new samples on the wall who basically ignored me.

Mr Amison at the Aurora store knew return policies and courtesy to customers who are following the corporate return policies. I felt reassured that my shopping at the Aurora store was valued. Not so at the COUNTRYSIDE store, where aggressive nastiness is a norm and where the MANAGER decides the return policy. I will have Floor and Decor LAST on my list of places to shop, but if I do return, it will only be to the AURORA store.

Just a few hours ago, they called to confirm my delivery date -- only to call again later and cancel the entire delivery, saying it can't happen as planned. This is happening just three days before I move in, leaving me with no furniture and no time to find an alternative. It's incredibly frustrating and unprofessional to first confirm the date and then backtrack the same day. Moving is already stressful, and this last-minute cancellation has made things much worse. I will think twice before shopping here again and would caution others to confirm, reconfirm, and get everything in writing -- because their word clearly isn't reliable.

On 10/23, we received a confirmation text stating the bed will be delivered on 10/24. Then, a few hours after, we received communication the bed is delayed until 11/7. Then again, a few hours later, on 10/23, we received another update stating the bed will be delivered on 10/24. Overall the communication is lacking and in the end, the bed won't be delivered until 11/7, at the earliest. Value city did not offer any compensation due to their lack of knowledge and communication skills. Please save yourself the headaches.
