This is a beautiful little shop in a great local area with high-end vibes. The staff is lovely and very helpful. I find their style advice is excellent! If you follow them on Instagram, they post both great product pics and video style inspiration. I find their fun, unique merchandise stays on season for both trends and classics. I love that you can get an entire outfit from top to bottom, including accessories in one location also supporting a local woman owned and run business. It's a nice boutique, it smells great and although the inventory is small, the items are well cared for. I was extremely annoyed that the sales associate followed me. I've never been treated so disrespectfully in my entire life. I called ahead asking if they would take my cashmere sweaters, the woman on the phone with an accent replied yes. After the owner sifted through my clothes she crumpled up the cashmere as if it was trash, through it back into the bin and said she didn't want them. I was appalled that she wasn't professional or curious enough to refold them. She went on to say that they "weren't up to her customers standards". This woman doesn't have a clue how run a business. THE BEST consignment store in the area. Their inventory always has the most unique, high quality, fashionable, and timeless pieces. Their prices are very reasonable. The service is always GREAT! I've interacted with most of their staff (as I live about 5 minutes away and pop in a few times a month since they ALWAYS have new inventory), and they have ALL been very helpful, informative, and kind. The store is beautiful, clean, and items are very well-organized. Thank you to the amazing ladies (Catherine and Jane) for helping me out yesterday and being so patient, helpful, accommodating, and amazing! I am going on a vacation later this week and they are the ONLY store around with a Resort Section. These wonderful ladies immediately pulled out all of the pieces that they recommended for this trip (some that I wouldn't have even imagined that would look good one me) - even went into their basement for extra inventory - and made sure I had an excellent experience at their store. Their passion for fashion really shined through. I walked out with so many beautiful pieces. They even kept the store open a half hour later, without rushing me, to ensure I had everything that I needed. Would not recommend to anyone. You can find nicer designer clothing on EBay or Poshmark than this store. These used resale items are also overpriced. The store is set up with a little sofa in the entryway. It's here that her dog lays down all day. I don't know anyone who wants to go into a clothing store and pay $1k for a resale item where a dog has been laying around it. It is really unprofessional to your guests that a dog aid allowed to roam this store. What about your guests that don't even like dogs? However, the main reason I would not recommend this store is because of the owner. She's rude and condescending. She talks down to people. I'm in the customer service business and if I ever spoke to any of my customers in her tone I wouldn't be working any longer. I wish I could post a picture of the eye roll she gave to a guest that was having a hard time with her credit card. Save your money and go to Von Maur. Although I've only shopped her once because of the distance from my home, this boutique came highly recommended by my friend after I dealt with a notoriously evil consignment store in Hinsdale. When I yelped about that stores abusive customer "dis" service she sent me a threatening email. The owner Jane is the complete antithesis of that experience! Jane is welcoming and actually interested in her customers, other than just for their dollar. She has a lovely assortment of formals and carries high end designers, well maintained clothing at prices that actually make sense. I will try to return a few times a year and stock up and drop off! All I can say is scam scam scam. Do not consign here if you don't want to be stolen from and lied to. I brought multiple clothes here over time and was told it was donated this past time with no call and a contract stating I in fact did not want them to donate it. The last couple times ( and this is my fault but I trusted them ) they were still selling clothes on the floor when she said they had been donated. I honestly didn't even remember what I had brought there until this last time EVERYTHING went missing, oh I mean "donated" / stolen. She claims we should be women supporting women but I don't appreciate a woman stealing from another woman. My sister in law sold brand new Christian louboutin ( never worn ) and they gave her $179 and donated 7 other items with out consent and she did not have any date on her contract. they tried to buy her off bc they got caught and fed some bullshit about how in 15 years this is the first time this has ever happened. Honey, read your reviews bc you're lying again. Other people have said the same thing so must have been the first time like 50 times? I took some items to consign at this place and had an experience that was beyond unprofessional. To make a long story short, after inquiring about the pricing on a few items I left on consignment with the saleswoman, I received a call from Jane asking me point blank when I would like to pick up my items. Yes, just like that. I was told (word for word) "it seems I don't trust them" and Jane went on to say "we have never had this issue before". What was the issue? A question I asked? Such a display of poor character. You know it isn't you when there are several other negative reviews. I know others that stopped shopping here because they didn't like how fake Jane is and had similar issues. Jane was downright rude. If a customer/client can't ask questions about how items were priced, then why bother having a store? The most comical remark was....Jane said she was NEVER asked or questioned on pricing before. And even if this was the case, why would a professional store owner make this comment? Why so insecure? This was over a whopping 5 articles of clothing to top if off. I could go on and on but just wanted to post an honest review of a situation. I only tried the store because I had a few extra items on hand and was walking by. I regularly consign clothes with a high end boutiques in Chicago, New York and online so it is no loss at all to me. In fact the 5 items I asked about pricing all sold for almost 2 times what Jane listed them at. Hmmm?? ;) One other note I was given 2 items back when I went to pick up my items. Others have mentioned in reviews there is a lack of attention to detail in the place along with a self righteous attitude like this is some boutique on Oak St or the Avenue in New York. It was my first time using a consignment of any sort. The very first time I stepped into Jane Pabon's consignment resale shop, I was greeted by friendly and enthusiastic staff and the owner Jane Pabon as well. However, when it came time to sign the consignment agreement, & after arriving home and rereading it, I noticed that it was not very thorough and did not give enough information on the form. I needed to call them on the phone and get more information that was not provided on the form that was given to me. Also, no mention was made when dropping off the item that it would be stored in their basement until an appropriate Time for it to be on display. This was never told to me until I came in person one day and was looking to see where it was placed in the store for display and could not find it. Upon inquiring where it may be, I was told it was in the basement and would stay there for several months until Fall. At that point I thought it best to retrieve the item back until the time for it to be displayed & than I would bring it back. The owner, Jane Pabon became very upset and rude slamming down the original box that the item came in with the item in it after she retrieved it from the basement & told me "don't bring it back again, if you take the item home." Than Jane said that they were soon to bring the item up to be displayed. I relented & allowed them to have the item stay in the shop for display. The item never sold and was told to pick it up. This was my first consignment experience ever. I would not recommend Jane Pabon consignment resale shop in Geneva. Not enough communication, never told it was going to be stored in the basement until Jane Pabon thought it was an appropriate time to display it. Plus, rude behavior from Jane Pabon herself. Very disappointing experience. I would never use Jane Pabon's services or visit her store again. read more

5 stars does not do this boutique justice. My mother, sister, and I just had the most fabulous experience. We walked in and were treated like royalty. The owner spent over an hour picking out outfits for my sister and me to try on. It was a blast! She was incredibly personable, took the time to learn our styles and sizes. It was like having a personal stylist! Top notch! And to top it off we walked out with some of the most gorgeous clothes at a fantastic price. One of my favorite consignment boutiques in all of Chicagoland! I used to live in the city and I have been to every single consignment store/boutique and have always gone back to Jane Pabon. The staff is always so friendly, approachable, unpretentious and helpful. I have 2 teenage daughters, and the 3 of us shop JP nearly weekly...Jane has styled my oldest daughter for LA "Red Carpet" events, she's styled us all for vacations, and "life in general"...she's got an eye, she's honest, and has a heart of gold! The customer service is AMAZING! The team always goes ABOVE AND BEYOND! No matter me and my girls are shopping for something big or small, the excellent customer service is, and has always been consistent...that is VERY RARE especially in these times!! I used to love to shop at this boutique. I brought all my friends visiting from California. I brought a few items in for consignment on June 14th 2018 prior to moving back to CA in July. I signed a contract and was told to call in a couple weeks to see what sold. I called before I moved in mid July. Jane told me that one thing sold but that I should wait till the end of the contract and she would just send me the check in CA in case anything else sold. I have called about 5 times to request my check. I have left several messages. The last one I was clearly frustrated. NEVER HEARD BACK!!! This place is a scam! I would not trust them to sell my things and will be sharing my experience with all my friends still in the Chicagoland area. read more

I love this little boutique. I am not much of a fan of online shopping, and I enjoy how much care JPB takes to display their products, and how easily I can look through things. I especially appreciate how organised the shoe area is, as well as the neatly displayed selection of high-end pieces in the sitting area. The store is bright and clean, and it's a fun place to stop in for a look, but also a very good place to go when you're in need of a particular piece. I love that I never know what I'll find here, but I always know that what I find will be of the highest quality and standards. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about fashion. Interesting items (I've seen a large amount of vintage Chanel over the years) but, overall, extremely overpriced... I've even seen damaged clothing priced around $70. Geneva is such a special place with wonderful people, so I don't know how this store fits in. Terrible service, over-priced items, and dog hair everywhere. I saw the dog jumping on clothes. The owner had a fake smile when I walked in, then became extremely rude and snooty once I said I was just browsing, so I left. I've never seen this attitude including shops in Beverly Hills and London, which items actually warrant an attitude. The items aren't worth it and her prices are milking the local customers and sellers. She seemed frazzled and disorganized with her inventory and busy telling others how good she looked in her clothes. Find another local shop, or go online to Poshmark or Farfetch.com. She can keep her over-priced items and attitude, they don't belong in Geneva. read more

Jane has a great eye for fashionable clothes AND style. On my first trip to her boutique (about 3 years ago) I was apprehensive to go into a luxury boutique but it is warm and inviting. Jane offered to help me put together and outfit, which looked FABULOUS! It wasn't pieces I would have chosen myself but it looked great. Her prices are very fair and she only carries the top brand in excellent condition. Also, she authenticates all her high end bags. As you can tell, I'm a big fan!
