Wish I could do NO STARS!! I bought from a vendor at Rustic Fox in Carol Stream yesterday 7/21. It was a green oversize nightstand. I asked for a discount bc the paint work on this piece was sloppy. You could see the wood color under the newly painted piece in the drawer area, it was never taped off properly and it was just a bad paint job. That should have been my first clue to walk away. Vendor agreed to give me $25 off. I went ahead and bought the piece and Martin (part owner of rustic fox) helped load the piece into the bed of our truck. When they got it in the bed of the truck I noticed the wood was gouged. I noticed it and said, I'm going to repaint this so I'll just repair it with wood putty. Martin had hit this cabinet next to something that caused this to happen when he was bringing it back to load in our truck. We inspected the piece before we bought it and this was not there when viewing it on the floor. Now, I get it home and really start to look at it. This was not a gouge in the wood this was the paint peeling from the piece not being prepared properly. The wood is fine but the paint just peeled right off the piece. You can feel the old, varnished wood underneath. It's smooth like the day the piece was originally made. I called Rustic Fox and was told ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Beware what you buy here. This piece was never prepped and painted properly. Now I have to sand the piece down to the bare wood and prime and repaint. If this was prepped properly to begin with, I could do a light sand and prime and paint. My point here...Martin knew the piece was damaged when he loaded in our truck. He knew he did it. He could have allowed me to return it. The vendor lied and said how much prep work went into this piece. NOT TRUE, you can see it right on the actual piece, it was NOT PREPPED. I'll revise this post once I find out who the vendor is at Rustic Fox. BE CAREFUL when buying these painted pieces. BE CAREFUL all sales are final!! read more

I came here from a Facebook event that said it was their spring market. I was hoping it was their large market with additional vendors outside but it's really all the vendors inside now have spring items. I felt a little mislead by the Facebook event given this. I didn't have to come this particular weekend, I'm assuming everything in the store today will be the same next week. That said this store was huge and took me 1.5 hours to look at all the vendors. It was pretty crowded and like a maze. Every vendor and the overall store was very organized and had a good flow. All the vendors were well stocked. The store mainly has women's clothes and home decor. The employees were friendly and helpful. The downside is they only have one dressing room! I wouldn't come here with any young children, too crowded and too much stuff for them to get into. Although it was not the market I was going for I'm glad I stopped into the shop to see what it's all about. I ended up only getting two shirts for my toddler at home and some chocolate. read more

I enjoyed browsing here during their fall festival. Many vendors' booths however were filled with items bought overseas and I was expecting more handmade goods. I did end up purchasing a macrame plant holder and ceramic pot that I have been wanting and it was reasonably priced but mass produced. It fit the plant I had for it perfectly. This concept of vendors renting booths in large retail spaces seems to be very popular. If you do bring your hubby some booths had benches that I saw them parked on, lol! Please leave small grabby and crabby children at home as that is just unpleasant for everyone. read more

If you ever want to get lost in a store and wander. This is the store. I have been a frequent customer of The Rustic Fox, and there is always a lot to see. The only downside is that at items. Due to the large space that this establishments spans it can be daunting or even overwhelming at times. However if you are patient you can always seem to walk away with a few gems. There are a lot of vendors that take part in The Rustic Fox. You have everything ranging from clothing and jewelry, to decor, liquor mixes and pet treats and apparel. I will say it is a little hard to lose track of what aisles you have visited and which ones you have yet to explore. Truly estimate spend a minimum of an hour in the store as you explore. It is certainly one of my favorite weekend spots to roam to see what new goodies can be found. read more

I came here during there outdoor/indoor market and dang they have a lot to choose from. They have a lot of one of kind items to choose from to gift to anybody in your life. I feel like you can spend hours in here looking at every nook and cranny which I think is awesome. The price ranges are different considering that most if not all items are hand crafted. Men beware...More than 90% of the shoppers were female on the day I went with my wife...lol. The only problem is the line to check out. With so many shoppers they are set up for only 2 checkouts. I work right down the street and I finally decided to see what this place is about. I went on my lunch hour and I got half way through the store. I returned the next day prepared to shop. This is a store with lots of booths that sell clothes, home decor, furniture, jewelry, accessories and Knick knacks. They even carry treats for your fur babies. Lots of vendors with amazing things to choose from. Every time I have been here there are new things to choose from. With the change of seasons and holidays the selection changes. I love the concept of supporting local business owners all under one roof. read more

This was my second time here and probably my last. It is a collection of many vendors, but many of the items are not handmade or vintage. It is similar to Home Goods or World Market. However, on a rainy Saturday afternoon, there were lots of shoppers. Everything is nicely displayed and staff are available for questions. read more

Meh. This place is composed of lots of booths for various vendors, and about 10% are of interest; the rest are selling signs that you could get at Hobby Lobby & the like. It just turned into a blur after a while. A few vintage highlights but overall not worth the drive over here. read more

I recommend coming here to look for certain things or to browse. However, we went for the holiday market while it was fun and we found a lot of cute and unique things, the place does get crowded. Since the event is only 2 days crowd control inside the actually shop is awful, people don't know we're to walk ... just stand around... not enough room for people to shop peacefully and browse. read more

GO TO THIS STORE! The best store to come to the area! It's basically like Etsy in person! I love going every few weeks to see what's new since they constantly update each booth. They have everything: furniture, dog treats, home decor, vintage goods, trendy clothes and jewelry, cute coffee tumblers, posters, fun holiday items, and more. I'd say 90% of the goods are modern and new items curated and crafted by local artists so you can buy gifts and feel good about supporting local shops! I'm so impressed by the sheer amount of interesting and cool items, I always end up leaving with at least 10 things. read more

Update: the credit card company did indeed side with my husband and credited his account even though the owner of the Rustic Fox said an e-gift card couldn't be disputed. And, FWIW, trend + relic in St. Charles has a similar vibe, but with a really nice owner/staff. read more

I love coming here, I bought my kitchen table and a few other things for great prices. Some stuff is on the higher side and is from home goods. But if you shop around you'll find almost the same stuff at a few booths for cheaper. Great prices and everyone is so kind I just wish they wouldn't sell home goods products for 100% markup. There should be a rule of what they can sell. read more
