This store has many vendors in it, but there were several empty spots. Nothing really spoke to me while shopping but good store if you want to support small businesses. The cashier was friendly!

So much artistry. Beautiful merchandise. Visit us at the Painted Tree in Bloomingdale.

I love this store. They should change their name though like adding "support Local businesses" under the Painted Tree sign. I did not expect these kind of shop when I just saw their sign and decided to stop by. I thought it would be like Home Goods. One word, it is like Art Fair every day. Bunch of small business owners rent their multiple booths. I got many inspirational ideas and loved the cute vibes. It would be wonderful if they have a little cafe where girls, moms can hang out and shop in this cute environment. As being of it is not ran by big chains or corporations, price isn't affordable like Target or Walmart, but I would say, if you want to support normal people like us but gifted and talented small business owners, it isn't a bad choice to shop here once in awhile. I would come back with other toddler mom for this great experience.

What a great boutique! There are so many unique and wonderful gifting ideas under one roof. The staff was helpful and I enjoyed the music while I shopped. Suggestion: Wear comfy shoes, you will want to walk the entire space to catch the best deals.

Wasn't a fan of the items being sold in this shop. I think it's catered toward senior crowd.

Lots of choices, but too much of the same thing. More options would be nice. Some stuff wasn't even price marked.

Pricing may be a little higher than Big Box stores but these vendors need to pay a high rent.

    Tuft A Rug

Tuft A Rug is one of the coolest and most creative thing to do- ever! I've been an artsy gal my…read morewhole life and have done all the artsy activities that you can do with your friends but rug tufting definitely takes the cake. Tuft-A-Rug is located in Fox Valley Mall, which is perfect as most other rug making locations are in the city. Walking by, you can immediately see people already at work (a genius way to grab people's attention!). You start by choosing what size rug you would like to make, as price and time requirements differ with both. I recommend booking in advance. If you come as a group, the fee also becomes discounted. I chose the 21x18 size and went with a friend which came to about $60 per person. It starts out with a demonstration so you get to practice a bit! I was super nervous but once you get the hang of it, it's so much fun. You can make any design you want. You'll trace out the image by either free handing it, or you can use your phone to project a picture and trace it that way. A tip is that if you know what you want to do and have an image, you can actually email it to them and they can trace it ahead of time so it's ready- which is super convenient. There's a plethora of color yarn you can choose from. I know I keep saying it, but seriously, this activity was so much fun. Once it comes together it really gives you so much satisfaction. It did take quite a bit of time, and the bigger and more complex your design, the longer it will take. I, of course, like to make my life complicated for some reason so it took a bit of time, maybe about 3 hours. But it came out SO cute! I made a hedgehog laying in a bed of daisies!! Please do note, that you will not go home with your rug the day of. They do have to finish it which may take about a month (it can be shipped if need be). There are some options of finishing touches that you can select. And if you do have some small patchiness that might need a touch up, they're happy to help! Service was awesome, the owner Keaton was the bomb. So patient, funny, and super helpful! Even with a bigger group he managed to help everyone when they needed it. The location is ideal, there's definitely enough space and seating, cool walls to take photos with your rugs. The playlist was bomb. The price is completely fair and actually very affordable for the service, time, and product. I really have nothing but more raving to do about this place and wish it all the best. I've already recruited a friend group to come back and do it with me! Keaton is passionate about his work and it is very clear in the way it is set up! So as always, please support local businesses and especially this one which is unique and so much fun! You won't regret it!

They are there throughout your entire experience to provide you advice and support. We started off selecting our image. You can project the image off your phone from one of their projectors. After selecting and outlining our image, we received a demo on how to use the tufting gun. I took nearly the entire 3.5 hours to finish my 24x18 rug. Of note, you have to come back and pick up your rug after they finish cutting it. Otherwise, there is an option for them to deliver it to you. I would definitely recommend this place especially if you have an interest in tufting.

I use to manage this studio for three years. Through out my time there I endured some strange…read morebehaviors from not just the owner Kelly but also her husband. The mall this establishment is in celebrates Pride Month as does all of the other stores. So naturally I put up decorations along with the rest of the mall. This angered Kelly and she started tearing down my rainbows. She said she wanted to remain "neutral". That was the first red flag as I, her manager, is queer and she knew this. The 2nd red flag was when her husband picked me up from this location (as I am disabled and can't drive) to take me to their Plano location. When I hopped into the car a song was playing, her husband quickly turned off the song and went looking through his phone for another. He then puts on The Lords of Acid - Pussy Song. We were alone in the car The owner Kelly and her husband are anti LGBTQ and anti immigrant. I ran their studio for three years before their beliefs reared their ugly heads. I, myself am a queer Latino. The mall celebrates Pride Month, Kelly didn't like this so she tore down all of the decorations I put up. She loved the indigenous pottery workshops I would do, they made HER LOTS OF MONEY. I ultimately QUIT because he husband was watching me on the cameras and had an issue with my sick child being at the studio when I had no other option. This man wasn't my boss. He had to pick me up one day for a convention, when I got in the car a song was playing . HE TURNED OFF THE SONG LOOKED GOR A NEW ONE AND PUT ON :LORDS OF ACID- THE PUSSY SONG. I'm queer, married and someone MOTHER. DO NOT WORK HERE IT IS NOT SAFE. We were in the car for at least 20 minutes... The final nail in the coffin was when her husband called me at work because he was watching me that morning bending down sorting the orders. My son, who was 11 at the time had his head down on the table. We had been up all night as my child developed hives and we had just gotten in from the doctor. I could not have prepared for this so I took him and his medicines to work with me. Well her husband didn't like that because it "looks bad". Mind you, this is the same kid that would volunteer on the weekends to help me clean the studio after parties for extra allowance. Kelly encouraged this. This man and father told me to find other accommodations. So I did, I easily found another job. If you go here you support an owner who not only makes excuses for her perverted husband but someone who hates kindness and equality. The people who stand by this women all look exactly like HER. Sound familiar?
