I'm going to keep my review closer to a 4.5 star review. Me and my wedding group were recently ordered some suits for an upcoming wedding. The owner PJ was really friendly and professional throughout our entire visit. Price of the suit was pretty fair too for what it is prior to us paying. We were fitted for a suit really quickly but we were told that the suit would take 6 weeks to come in and we waited nearly 8 weeks and some of my friends are waiting more. If you need to get alteration it will add some time as well. Overall, the presentation of the suit and the staff every time I've been here has been outstanding not nonetheless. They take great Hospitality of their guests throughout the visit which makes up for some lost time. Definitely come back and check out their sales that they have at certain points of the year. read more

My tall father was in need of a new suit for a wedding and checked this place out for his needs. He said that PJ, the owner of the store, worked with him; without even taking a measurement he was able to eyeball the right size for Dad for the jacket; the only tailoring the pants needed was the length. He also got a dress shirt, tie and suspenders! Clotheshorse carries not only big and tall but standard sizes as well, and casual wear as well as suits and formal wear. I was in need of a new sports coat and needed suggestions on a style, fit, and color. I was hoping for a a tailored service that wasn't too pushy or salesy. Dan took my measurements and offered me a jacket in a color and pattern that I never could have seen myself in. I tried it on I was pleasantly blown away. After trying on just a few more jackets I quickly realized the first jacket he picked out was exactly what I wanted. Stop searching, this is hands down the best store in the category! I was transferred here last year and have struggled to find quality clothes that fit. This store has everything to keep you looking your best. Not just "big" clothes but plenty of tall cuts. I'm 6'4" and regular length shirts are way to short. What really makes this family business so special is service that I thought didn't exist anymore. It was only my second trip to the store and PJ made us feel like we were the most important customers they have and made me feel like we were long time friends by the time we left. Top shelf all the way from the product to the staff. As a big guy that likes to dress fashionably, I have always found designers that aren't readily available at most big and tall retailers. PJ and his dad painstakingly are involved with buyers groups that only provide the best quality to their customers. I cannot say enough about this place. Is it costly? Yes. So I'm a big guy. 6ft 1 and 500 pounds of sexy. My wife's best friend's son is getting married and she wants me to get a nice pair of dress pants. So for the last few weeks I have been looking and looking and looking at all my secret shopping spots with no luck. Soooo I do what everybody else does and Google it. Big and Tall. Well thank you for sending me to The Big Choice Big and Tall. As soon as I walked in I was pleasantly greeted by Sarah ( hopefully I spelled it right). With a big smile. I had my little 3 year old girl with me and she said hi to her also. I told her and PJ my dilemma and within a second there magically appeared a measuring tape. Next thing I know PJ runs in back and came back with the best fitting and looking pair of dress pants I have ever tried on. One problem though, they were long enough to fit Shaq. He said no problem give me 10 minutes. While he was custom fitting my dream pants Sara mentioned that they had a great selection of 50 percent off Items also. She showed me a pair of pants that were also my size, this time in black. Needless to say I walked out of their store in 20 minutes with two great pairs of custom fitted pants for around $100. I have never experienced better customer service in any store ever! Every time I have been there they have shown knock your socks off service. I needed a sport coat, went in on Friday night at 8:50, J'son fitted me, took my coat to the tailors and then he delivered it to my house, so I could have it by Monday morning. This is just one example of service, they also have a huge inventory and I have never left the store disappointed. read more

I have shopped here a few times and the Staff was helpful only down side is if you go when 3-4 people are shopping they don't have the staff usually 1 or 2 people in the shop. Prices are high but not overpriced for a big and tall shop just not Target prices. read more

I've been going here for years. Always hit the discount rack for the super dope shirts. Stayed away for a few years as my budget hit a snag, but last week my Mom died, and I needed a suit. Quickly. Went in on a Saturday morning and PJ fit and measured me himself. It took a little while; I'm picky about what I like to wear, and I turned down several of his suggestions, and he never took offense or appeared impatient. Finally I got a suit that I liked, and PJ measured me one more time, and told me that they'd try to have the alterations done in time for the Wednesday wake. On my way out of the store I also picked up an overcoat, a shirt, two pairs of socks and two ties (again, I made my selections after turning down a number of PJ's suggestions). So on Tuesday they called and I went and picked up the suit; I didn't have time to try it on in the store, but I put it on the next day for the wake, and it looked and felt great. PJ had asked me if I wanted cuffs on the slacks, and I said 'Yeah', but we didn't talk about what kind. I'd purchased slacks with cuffs from another store in the past, and when I picked them up, those cuffs were attached to the bottom of the pant leg all the way around. Made me look like a boy scout. But the Big and Tall cuffs on the suit trousers were perfect! Attached to the pant leg but not all the way around. Very stylish! I got a lot of compliments on the suit, the shirt, the ties and people just raved about the socks. PJ's a good dude. Friendly and calm and never pushy. I've been tall all my life, and big for the last ten years. I've shopped big and tall in Illinois, Wisconsin and California, and this store is the best. Wish I could afford to go there every day.
