Steve is incredibly responsive. He answered the phone when I called the number listed, asked me a few questions, gave me a few tips on what to add/not add, and confirmed a date from there. The rest is history! The main interaction we had was via text which is really helpful with my schedule. Before he picked up the dress, he gave me an ETA on when I'd hear from him next and get the dress. His followup was fantastic. He was sure to reach out before any worry or concern because I of course forget the dates haha. In the end, the dress came in better condition than when I first bought it. It was amazing to see the update and after photos and made me wish I took some before photos. My dress wasn't super filthy but the train definitely got dark brown. Your girl couldn't get off the dance floor! Since I'm in the middle of de-cluttering our apartment space and haven't figured out where I'll store the dress, I haven't quite opened to see how it's displayed. My mom danced so hard at her wedding all the buttons ripped and it had also accumulated a large stain and general discoloring over the years. It is such a special dress with such intricate and delicate crocheting (some of which was done by hand by my grandmother before my mom's wedding), we weren't sure the fabric would make it through a cleaning attempt. Looking online I wasn't sure if anyone would even touch it since it was so old. We brought it in to Chicago Wedding Dress Cleaners and crossed our fingers. We were absolutely AMAZED with the results. The dress looked PERFECT. The color was revived to its original beauty, all stains were gone, and they repaired the back buttons perfectly. And they lasted all night through MY crazy dancing! I seriously cannot begin to say how much this meant to my mom and I. It was so special to get to wear the dress that my mom wore when she married my dad.
