Angeles is the owner and amazing seamstress. She has been…read moredoing this over 45 years. Both her grandmother and mother were seamstress. To say she handles emergencies is an understatement. I had three formal event gowns and only four days until we flew out at 6am so really only three days Angeles assured me she would have them ready. All three were not only completed, she had to cut so much off the bottom ( because we are short) she made us matching scrunchies for each dress. Due to my forgetfulness she could have over charged and I was willing to pay but she was a great value for this huge job. In my rush I had forgotten my sons pants She hemmed them in half an hour AND delivered them ( not really a device she offers ) but could see I was in a pickle. I can honestly say she did amazing work, everything was completed as requested and she went above and beyond! Thank you Angeles! I highly recommend her services and will most definitely be back. In May, I dropped off my one-of-a-kind vintage wedding dress at Maria's. I had a personal connection to the family, and previous work had been fine. I asked for simple spot cleaning and steaming, and was told they'd call when it was ready. No rush at all. Two weeks later, I was suddenly told it was done and asked to pick it up quickly because it was taking up space. I paid cash and left. When I got it home, I was in disbelief. The internal structure had been cut away, the fabric looked pressed and damaged, and there were safety pins in multiple places that made no sense. I was devastated. I took photos and went back on Monday. Jose told me the owner was in Mexico. Later, I learned the business had just changed hands and the new owner had switched cleaners. I calmly asked for help, repair or reimbursement. I was told they were not responsible. That was repeated. I tried to handle this privately, offered reasonable options, and got nowhere. I was left scrambling to save my irreplaceable wedding dress just weeks before the wedding. They wouldn't even give me a refund. I've spend many nights crying over this situation that has yet been resolved.

The one lady who is the seamstress is very knowledgeable about the lengths for various styles and very patient about showing me different lengths. The physical plant is very clean and spacious, and the changing room is roomy, has a chair and has the area for pinning the clothes all in that one room. The prices are standard for the area, but the people are so much better than standard.

They only thing I was confused about was they say they can take it off, after the couple times I already been there, and when I come to pick it up, don't bother telling me they weren't able to, but for me to find out about it when I go to see if there still there. I wish they would had just talked to me, stating they aren't able to, and explain, instead of wasting my time and taking it, for me expecting it to be actually cleaned. Mind you, the stain wasn't a food stain or anything that's really stuck in there, as I'm easily able to just rub at it a few times, and for it to fall off. When I show her that, she tells me to do it myself then and they can't do it. With the biggest attitude, cause I'm expressing confusion as to why they weren't able to. But the only reason why I'm there is because I'm paying for what I thought professionals to do it for me, but clearly I don't see any professionalism. For them to tell me to do it myself when I payed a full 20 bucks to see if they can do it for me. Just real bad attitude and unprofessional. I wouldn't bother coming here if you want something easily removed/ cleaned.
