Two friends told me about this shop, so I had to come out and check it out! Definitely worth the drive! Their selection was great -- everything from coats, dressier dresses, sweaters, tops, skirts, jeans, shoes and accessories like handbags. Staff were so friendly and helpful; this is really what you want in a shopping experience. I fall at the bottom of their size range and because of my height sometimes have a hard time finding clothes that fit, but I found two beautiful coats (one a Tall!) and an amazing dress, and the total for these three items was less than $130, which is what a new coat might cost at Land's End (the brand of one of the coats I bought here)! I will definitely be back, and will check out the second shop in Rockford when I'm there for the Japanese Gardens. Helpful hint: my GPS told me I had arrived but I didn't see the sign and so circled the building needlessly: it's in the window! read more

My favorite clothing store! I can shop all of the plus size retailers in one place and all the clothes and shoes are in gently used condition or new. Plus they also have new boutique clothing. The staff is super helpful and friendly. I visit the store once a week or every other week. I even ventured out to their Rockford location one time. They are a great value if you're changing sizes as I was for the last year and a half. They were a huge money saver for gorgeous, trendy, casual, dressy, and work clothing. This is my absolutely favorite place to shop. Both the store in Bloomingdale and the one in Rockford have a huge selection of plus size clothing. The great part is that they have sizes from xl-5x! The prices are fantastic and the owner is very particular about what she will resell which is as it should be. All the staff are super helpful! It is also great to be able to try on brands I haven't tried before -- I got a great Mod Cloth dress for $15. There are clothes here for all ages as well. I'm about to go on a kids-free vacation with my husband, so I came in looking for some new summer clothes. I live in my Torrid active wear, so my wardrobe needed some updating. I was instantly greeted by Rachel, the owner, and I started browsing. I pulled a couple armfuls of capris and shorts to try on and Rachel's associate started a room for me. I tried everything on and I must have grossly misjudged my size, because nothing I picked out fit me. With tears in my eyes, I took a handful of clothes to the register to be put back because I felt bad just leaving all those clothes in the fitting room. Rachel recognized my anxiety and disappointment and asked if she could give me a hug, which I accepted. Rachel then proceeded to give me a pep talk and asked if she could help me pick some items out. The majority of the clothes she chose for me flattered my figure and looked great on me! I left with a major haul of new-to-me clothes for a price that didn't break the bank. Heard about this store from my friend/coworker a couple weeks ago and have been itching to go since. I finally made it today and was impressed. They had a really nice selection. It was so nicely organized and there is nothing I love more than a nice organized resale shop. I scored 5 tops all brand new for $36 with tax. If you're a plus sized AMAB like me looking to experiment with expressing their feminine side more, or even transition, this is the place to shop. I've never felt more comfortable and welcomed at any store but this one. The staff treats me the same as everyone else; kind, helpful, and non-judgmental. To some this may sound like it should be the norm, but I've gotten many judgmental looks at other retail outlets which is nowhere to be seen here. I cannot say enough good things about the store! From The amazing amazing clothes to the outstanding staff, I can't wait to return again and again! Their selection of gently used and new plus size clothing is beyond anyones expectations! I have never left empty handed! The store is big and split up by by size and everything is organized by color! Their selection is always in season, clean, and they care many new items with the tags still on. I used to relay on getting a lot of my plus size clothing from Good Will and it was always a craps shoot and half the things were 10+ years old and smelled. The employees make you feel welcome and encourage fashion shows! They also have a wide variety of shoes, jewelry and lingerie. I just went in today and got 5 shirts and 2 pairs of earrings for $55! You're typically greeted when you walk in but there's one woman that works there that looked right at me on a few occasions during my last visit (I think her name is Jackie) and said nothing to me while she went on making others feel welcome. read more

So glad I decided to walk in this store today. I intend to go back very soon as well. I was able to purchase two clean, flattering, gorgeous dresses at an unbelievable savings. The staff was super helpful, without being overbearing. I am 5'4" size 3x (apple shaped). I normally hate shopping but found 5 dresses in 10 minutes! I left with 2 dresses for my event because I couldn't decided between the 2. My sister and I have already planned a shopping day to visit this store back in a couple weeks. read more

Found Secondhand Curves as we were going to another store. Stopped in there first to check it out, I was pleasantly surprised to see a resale store for plus size women . The owner Rachel was so welcoming and nice, I just love her. Her colleague Ursula went out of her way to help me find a dress for my daughter's wedding. I've never felt so comfortable in a clothing store before. The clothes that come in are great quality. It was my first time there but definitely not my last!
