A Caucasian lady walks in right behind me and she is asked if she needs anything and is greeted politely. I walked around the entire store and not once did any sales person acknowledge or ask me if I needed help but they fawned over every other customer there. I was the only non Caucasian customer, btw. And every salesperson there is Caucasian. Like I said, this wouldn't be so obvious if it didn't happen EVERY SINGLE TIME I have walked in. Never again. Mediocre overpriced clothes anyway. I'd rather take my business elsewhere where people aren't so blatantly rude and prejudiced. Anyone with a daughter knows that Lululemon is all the rage with girls these days. We shop at…read moreseveral of the Lululemon locations in the area (Oakbrook, Geneva, Naperville) but the Naperville location is our favorite as well as our local store. The staff is always helpful and patient. My daughter is only 11 and quite thin so she's usually a size XS or 0, we always find an employee willing to walk us around to show us all the new stuff they have in my daughters size, then they take it and set up a fitting room for her....sorta makes my daughter feel special as you don't get this type of service at most stores these days. As for the bad reviews saying the service is not good or employees are rude have have never once encountered that type of problem at this location.

I felt she was the owner or manager. For a small business in Glen Ellyn I was rather shocked at her lack of good customer service. On the flip side stopped at M & Em's the night of the Christmas Walk and the young lady manning the door was nice asked if I needed any help, answered my questions etc. They have great gifts for younger kids some prices are reasonable others are crazy high. The one attached to the mall feels like a madhouse with the narrow aisles and big shopping carts. This one you have two different size shopping carts and it's more spacious. Parking lot is ample. The products are placed neatly on the shelves vs the other location. I do have to take off a star for customer service. We stood in line for a few minutes and most of the employees were just standing around talking. Only two were actually working. One stopped talking to check us out, by that time the line got longer. It's easier if they just clear the line instead of letting it build up.

I had planned on keeping the top but then I seen they had a size that fits me better available online so I ordered that one. The tags are still on my top that I wanted to return. The robotic store manager barked at me when I entered the shop asking if I had a return. I proceeded to browse then found nothing else so I went to the counter to process my return. The same robot was waiting on me and barked at me that I couldn't return without an order number. I asked her if she could look it up with my Maurice's card and she rolled her eyes and said "NOOOO". She was making me so uncomfortable because she kept barking over and over "order number....I just need an order number!!" I was trying to find it in my email and she started whispering to one of the other clerks about me. I walked out without a word and know from now on I'll stick to the shop in DeKalb where I've never been treated rudely at all.

However, on February 14th I went in to buy a pair of pants and a shirt and saw a lady with blonde hair loudly criticizing one of her co-workers. Apparently, the blonde haired employee did not like the way her co-worker handled a situation. The way the lady was speaking , she seemed to be a store manager or other form of management personnel. I understand employees can make mistakes but whenever there is an opportunity for coaching like what I witnessed, leadership should ALWAYS take an employee to the back AWAY from the customers. Not only is this common courtesy but the proper way to provide feedback. To witness the employee being ridiculed in front of everyone made me so utterly upset I had to leave the store right away. I couldn't imagine how that worker must be feeling inside and I am disappointed with the upper management at Maurice's. They need to do better by treating their employees with the respect they deserve. To be honest, I regret not speaking up that day and standing up for the employee.
