Incredible customer service- the Store Manager went above and beyond to help with a recent purchase!

Anyone with a daughter knows that Lululemon is all the rage with girls these days. We shop at several of the Lululemon locations in the area (Oakbrook, Geneva, Naperville) but the Naperville location is our favorite as well as our local store. The staff is always helpful and patient. My daughter is only 11 and quite thin so she's usually a size XS or 0, we always find an employee willing to walk us around to show us all the new stuff they have in my daughters size, then they take it and set up a fitting room for her....sorta makes my daughter feel special as you don't get this type of service at most stores these days. As for the bad reviews saying the service is not good or employees are rude have have never once encountered that type of problem at this location. read more

Went in with an unopened online order and they refused to accept it. The woman at the checkout counter was extremely rude too. It was very unpleasant. The oak brook store wouldn't have spoke to their customers this way. I would recommend taking the 20 minutes to travel to a larger store. Great products but super rude staff members. As a poc they were quick to dismiss me out of the store, I had a mobile order and one employee looked at me as if I didn't belong there. I ended up grabbing a pair of shorts on the way out to go with my jacket and I noticed the employee who got my mobile order following me around the store. When I got to the front, while waiting I watched the cashier ring up a white woman. she handed her her bag and waited until she walked away to turn around. When I came around she quickly scanned it, I paid & when she put my item in the bag she tossed it at me, it fell and instead of being courteous and picking it up she told me to have a nice day and quickly walked away. Lululemon should do better. read more

Well I didn't catch the girls name however she came right away to help my husband and I find this vest that we were looking for. It didn't fit so When I told her I'd order it online she just LEFT! Didn't come back to see if we needed help finding something else, NOTHING. Some shopped for my husband she was at the register at the time. Didn't say anything. A man checked plus out. Granted I was on the phone but not my husband we swiped our card and he walked away started taking hangers of the clothes. Since we were still standing there he turns around and says you guys are good. Oh...ok... Between Lulrmon and Sullivans my Naperville experience sucked! Is it the generation that was working, the color of my skin, the fact it was a Holiday?? Idk but I was very disappointed. read more

Unprofessional service provided by Richard who obviously store manager. Definitely need more training. Product damaged and his words are more of people take advantage of.. but when item were either defective or low quality. You find solutions for customer. Not "it doesn't matter. I won't do anything " I called online customer service and they assisted the problem that should be easy to handle by store manager. read more

Purchased a Lululemon gift card and found that it was already redeemed i.e. a scam. Lululemon customer support told me they heard of the scam and escalated internally; the next level closed my ticket saying they can't do anything to help me so I'm out $50 now. Won't be shopping with the company again. read more

Store very clean and organized. Although, all of the staff was not knowledgeable on inventory. We had asked one girl working if a certain item was available, and instead of searching on her work phone or checking the back, she took a small lap around the store and said no she couldn't find it. We ended up finding the pant and asked a different associate for another size as the website said they were in stock and he checked back and brought out the correct size. I love shopping here and will continue to go, this was just my most recent experience. read more

Went into this Lululemon location over the weekend to buy new yoga pants. I'm new to this brand and was overwhelmed by all of the options. Luckily, Helen stepped in and explained all of the different options. She was so friendly, warm, and knowledgeable about the products. I was in kind of a rush and had to leave before purchasing the pants. I came back to the store the next day and she remembered my name and what I was looking for. She even suggested some other items for me. I came looking for just a pair of yoga pants, but because of the wonderful experience I had with Helen I ended up buying two pairs of pants, sports tank, fleece jacket, vest, and other items! Everyone in the store was just so helpful and nice. I can't wait to go back! read more

Normally, I love Lululemon. But the cashier (very old hag - that is my only description because I don't know her name) was incredibly rude and condescending. My brother was going to buy me a Christmas present and he is a US veteran. He asked for the military discount and this lady gave us the hardest time in the world giving us excuses why we couldn't have the discount. The clothes are "for me" and the discount "can't be shared" and "I'm not a veteran" etc. Let me ask you this you wrinkled old bag - who is paying for the clothes? Who benefits from the discount? The person paying. Who was paying? A US veteran. And you're going to stand there and disrespect someone who gave their life to protect you. I couldn't believe the terminal Naperville syndrome that I witnessed. Don't get me wrong, I'm born and raised in Naperville but this was beyond rude. If you are at the point where you are ARGUING with the customer, just give the customer what they want. My brother even made the argument that she doesn't know those clothes aren't for him, as he could be identifying as a woman. He can buy anything he wants with his discount. He gave his life in order to get the discount for Christ's sake. Not to mention, Lululemon is highway robbery (expensive as sh*t) and giving a 10% discount isn't going to break the bank nor will it effect the cashier in any way. She just felt like being the nasty little hag that she is. And I hope she's reading this because no one disrespects my brother and gets away with it. Her behavior was embarrassing and disgusting. She could have been so much nicer, but wasn't. When she was prompted with "You don't know these leggings aren't for me, I could identify as a woman" she replied with "Well if that's what you want to do". And so my brother (the contrarian that he is) took out his phone to make his account with lululemon to get the discount. She proceeded to say, "Your total is $254.34" and he replied "No, we are actually gonna sign up for the discount" and she literally replied with "No.". You just love telling people no don't you? How does us getting a discount affect you in any way? Like I said, a nasty person. I chalk it down to the fact that she's probably a lonely old hag and as I'm typing this, I'm actually starting to feel bad for her. Lol, just kidding. Moments gone. If you're reading this- be nicer to veterans. Shame on you, you old dish rag. Your face looks like a paper bag got crumpled up and ran over. I'm so happy they opened this new location! Only a block away from the old location, I strolled in here on their opening day. The interior is absolutely beautiful. They've now got a full screen above their register that's similar to the Oakbrook Store. An employee told me that this location may be even bigger!! They've also got a men's section as well, which is super exciting. The whole store is so much more refreshing because there is actual room to walk through and browse all the products than their Jefferson Avenue location. They now carry items that they didn't before, such as their self-care items located right by the register. My favorite section of the store was their leggings section. Still located in the back corner of the store, there are now screens by some sections that help you navigate the items to pinpoint exactly what would be best for you. I found that super helpful, as they only had a few employees working the floor when I visited. As for the clothes, they are actual quality. They're my favorite leggings that I always reach for and my most favored clothes to work out in. Pricey, but makes sense!! I'm super excited about this new location!! I think it's the best store to be at this address, and can't wait to purchase my essentials the next time I visit! read more

Worst customer service! Waited in line over 10-15 minutes, there was only one cashier. The only cashier was helping a customer for 15 minutes. Ridiculous! When I got helped, finally, the cashier, educator 99994000146309, they apparently don't use first names, or any names, instead of folding my clothes she grabed them, scrunched them and stuffed them in a bag, I told her to hand me the jacket to fold it. Man, you can't do that to customers, educate your educators lululemon, shame on you! You work in a clothing store, folding is in your job description. This is not a second hand store! Needless to say, I will not come back to this location. read more

As a powerlifter, I never thought Lulu pants were "made for people built like me"...that was until I visited the Lulu in Naperville and met Bri! She introduced me to a million different styles and colors, and to my surprise, I found a few pairs that I am now obsessed with! Bri was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and encouraging, and she completely changed me - now I ONLY buy Lulu pants (along with tops, scrunchies, yoga mats, and everything else haha)! Since then, I always have a fabulous experience and make a point of shopping here whenever I am in Naperville! The store is clean, well stocked with all sizes and colors, and all the staff go out of their way to make your experience great! read more

I tried so hard not to love you. Really I did. I'd often walk smugly by, rolling my eyes at the people who would spend so much on exercise clothing. I made snide remarks that only pretenders and posers would wear such things. Not girls who come home with chalk on their hands and bodies and sweat and grime everywhere else. I knew what's up! ;) And then one day the inevitable happened. I was walking with a friend and she darted into Lululemon. Before I knew what was happening, I was following too. Like a little lamb to the slaughter. I caught one glimpse of a long sleeved top that felt dreamy to touch. And it looked like something I'd actually go out in. I could pair with my black leather pants and ballet flats. Or I could wear it on an autumn jog. -- It breathes wonderfully. Clothes that are meant to be worn everywhere. Dreamy clothes even. A running shirt for $100? As if!! A shirt that I can wear on a date with my husband, fall asleep on the couch in, stumble out the door the next day, and go for a jog? Now that's money well spent. Not like I don't have my share of leggings from Athletic's far larger selection, but something about LuLu I keep going back for the durability, function and softness. Where LuLu stands out the most though is their customer service. They actually know my name, and, it's not bc I'm there that much. Go there and it's clear before 15 seconds in the store, they're highly trained and frequently reviewed on paying attention to you and you're needs ... and not just the "hello and welcome," but until you leave - without smothering. read more

Each person working there was well versed with their products, very helpful and friendly. Goods are priced fairly considering the quality items you are getting and checkout is a breeze. They even point out options from their clearance aisle if a particular style is best for you or your sport. I came in for a pair of $118 jogging pants I bought online 2 years ago that got messed up in the laundry and it was exchanged within a minute. I then found myself in the the clearance section and of course I went home with 3 new items to look cute in. LOL My only problem here is the parallel parking - The skill that eludes me. Hence I park towards Giordano's and walk. This is an issue during bad weather so most of my purchases from this store is done online. read more

Lululemon is my weakness! Ever since I got into yoga (a couple months now) I discovered Lulu. Their yoga clothes are unlike any other workout clothing I had ever tried. They are unbelievably comfortable! I find myself wanting to wear my workout clothes not just at the yoga studio, but on days i have to go to school, or am loungingaround at home. I wish there was a way I could wear it at work...Im keeping my eye out for work friendly looking tops. The staff here is unbelievably helpful and fun to shop with. The last time I went one of the employees told me about the free yoga they have here, its super early in the am, I havent been able to wake up on time for it...Hopefully one day soon I'll get it together and come out! read more

Feeling like spending $100 on yoga pants? How about $60 on a moisture wicking, fancy pants tank? Lululemon is your jam. This particular store is bright, airy and full of friendly employees. Stock seemed on par with other Lululemon stores but it's worth noting that the sale section was fairly small. Maybe it's because the store is new-ish? Or perhaps it's because it's on the smaller side? Either way, there's plenty to peruse in this clean, bright store. Pro tip: parking can be challenging, so scoop up a street spot if you can find one, or head to a public lot. read more

Frustrating experience.... was hung up On twice. Ordered legging online And paid for them. Less than 24 hours received an email, stating " your order was cancelled". After I had specifically stated to " destiny", I couldn't be there until 48 hours to pick up. She reassured me, she would hold for Me until , I could get there... called the next day, was hung up on twice who trying to rectify that. read more

My 13 year old daughter stopped into the store with some friends and was told by an employee that they were not welcome and that they needed to leave and never return. My daughter and her friends were browsing. They were just looking at clothes. They are all multi-sport athletes. They are potential customers that were told that they were not welcome. I was literally here 15 min ago, but the service was so phenomenal despite how crazy packed it was. I called earlier in the day and put leggings on hold. Walked around the crowds of people and to the fitting room and the woman there helped me. Now, I want to STRESSS it was packed in there! It was like worse than Black Friday busy. However, this is not hinder the service whatsoever. The leggings didn't fit, so she helped me order them online. Literally, took her time even though it was slammed! I wish I got her name! Then I wanted a scarf and she walked me over and pulled it for me. Again, it was super packed. She could of been 'its at the front of the store'. Nope! They have a great variety of work out clothes for both men and women and the store itself was clean and well organized. The customer service, however, sucks. I moseyed around for 20 minutes in this place and I was not acknowledged by one staff member. Not even, a 'hi', 'hello', or 'how are you'. The prices were OUTRAGEOUS! I would never in a million years pay $58 for a sports bra and the quality of the bra seemed very poor (thin, no support, probably wouldn't make it through the wash but three or four times before tearing). Does your ass look fierce? Well it will! How many times have you looked yourself over in a mirror on your way out for a run, fierce battle with the elliptical or even shifting for the downward dog and thought, "This just isn't going to work anymore." Workout clothes are constantly in flux and there is nothing worse than to be wearing an overly baggy shirt or pants that cause more sweat to drip or get in the way of what you are trying to do. I was reluctant to step foot into Lululemon only because the prices are a tad on the steep side but after feeling outdated and in need of a change up I decided it was time to bust out the big boys and take some friends' advice and make the investment. Barely in the store for a couple of minutes and I was offered service on picking out the right type of pant for the exercise it would be worn for. I am one of those types that gets hot very quickly and usually go with fitted capris or with a slight flare and was shown the Groove Pant instead. It was love at first sight and when I went to try them on, it just got better. The feel of the pant is amazing and fits like a glove over your legs. The pants are unbelievably comfortable and hug in all the right areas. Despite being hot, my body wasn't over heated in them at all after a workout. I highly recommend the Groove Pant and will save up again for some tanks and jackets. The service is impeccable and very much appreciated for not only the friendliness but also the suggestions as to what would work best without the all too commission feel. read more

I always buy my Lululemon stuff online and have never had a problem returning it within two weeks with tags and receipt. Tried to do that here today and sales chick said I could only get store credit because I used PayPal. I always use PayPal and have never had trouble returning items. I told her this and that I had recently returned items to the oak brook store and she said they had made a mistake. I called the oak brook store and told them the situation and they said they would def accept my return and put the credit on my credit card. Won't be coming back to the Naperville lulu. read more

So I work out just about every day. Run, bike, yoga, weights, boxing... I'm a fanatic. It's been a fact of life that I need to throw out my workout clothes every six months because I cannot get the smell out of them. Furthermore, I have run several marathons in the last few years, and I have experience chafe that rivals the most painful of injuries. Several of my friends from my health club recommended Lululemon for their seamless clothing to eliminate chafe, and for their silverescent line. The stuff is supposed to stop the smell that we all suffer from. I'm happy to say that in spite of the prices, this stuff is first class workout gear and I'm hooked. The store is pretty cool. I read other reviews that said the help in store was lousy... my experience was the polar opposite. As soon as I walked in, an associate greeted me and spent a fair amount of time going over the layout of the store, showing me all the products for men, and the clearance items. In the dressing room area, there's an attendant who helps you by name, and they go and get sizes if what you have doesn't fit. I loved this experience- it's like how retail used to be. Prices are triple anything else out there, but you get what you pay for. This is exceptional quality workout gear. I'm happy to spend $70 on a shirt that's going to last a few years. The alternative is an Under Armour tech tee for $30 that will last six months. $70 for 2 years, or $30x4= $120 for 2 years. You'll save money in the long run, and arguably look better while getting fit. Love this store and the clothes. The staff were awesome, and they have free yoga classes on Saturday mornings. 5 stars. read more

Yes, I'm one of those people who got suckered into buying lululemon $98 yoga pants. I started shopping here when this store opened back in 2010. Initially just bought a shirt or two here and there, but somehow along the way fell in love with their clothes. Overall, they cater to yogis and runners, but their clothing is so gosh darn comfortable that I know many people who love their stuff even though they don't work out. As a runner, yogi, and CrossFitter, I appreciate well designed workout apparel made with appropriate fabrics. I love their "yoga pants" for Crossfit, because even though the company admitted issues with see through pants, I've never experienced this issue. On the contrary, I find their pants to be the least see through when compared to Under Armor or Nike (NikePro pants are extremely see through, bend over in a mirror and check!). I appreciate the fact that season after seasonI can find the same styles in different colors, I swear by lulu's swiftly t's and cool racerbacks for my workouts. Their bags and duffels are also the best for going to the gym or going on vacation. And their zip up cotton hoodies are so comfortable and truly a step above your regular old hooded sweatshirt! As for this store location in particular, I love them, they really are the friendliest. The staff has changed over the years but unlike some other locations, they are continually friendly, never pushy or snobby. They have free yoga on Saturdays at 9am and other various events at their store. They are great about standing by their products; never blaming any worn product faults on the customer, if you have a problem with an item, they will ask "what do you want us to do to make this right?" A pair of run crops I purchased & worn had a seam unravel and their alterations person fixed it for free. I got a hole in one of my pairs of dance studio pants after. I fell on a sidewalk (not their error), and they fixed it for free, no questions asked! They also offer free hemming on any items in the store. **Word to the wise for washing any "performance" fabric (aka those with sweat-wicking abilities, not just lululemon), always wash these fabrics by themselves (not mixed with cotton, towels) and do not use fabric softener (clogs pores of fabrics, will not wick away sweat). read more

I come here for the free yoga from time to time. I don't own any LL gear, so I can't speak to that. However, yoga could use a little organizational assistance. It's a great service that the store offers that I think adds to the community in a significant way. However, it's super crowded. When I went last week, the store didn't have everything cleared out yet for yoga, so my friend and I had to move mannequins and a display to make a spot. None of the employees were helping to make the most of the space, so I'm pretty sure I accidentally smacked my neighbor whilst downward dogging at some point. However, I'm totally going back. I'm absolutely and completely addicted to Lulu Naperville!! First of all the Saturday morning FREE yoga classes are fantastic. The instructors selected to give these classes are experienced and professional. The classes have a mix of different level students and somehow the instructors know exactly how to give a challenging class to everyone. All the employees are friendly and definitely helpful. Ladies do not underestimate the men who work here....they know their Lulu clothes and give the best opinions to help you choose the outfit(s) best for you! Someone like myself who is height challenged never fear......complimentary hemming on all pants you purchase. This is the best service in my opinion! I don't think I can go in and visit without leaving with something....even if it's just a headband. The clothes are marvelous! Comfortable! Complimenting! Lovely! Stylish! Adorable! It's not just for chicks anymore! Actually, I'm not sure it ever was solely for the ladies, but after stopping in here with my wife yesterday while strolling around downtown Naperville and killing time before lunch, I know I'm a fan and will be returning. First of all, the help was super friendly and bubbly, but without being annoying, and they definitely were not pushy in the least. Yes, most of the store (probably 75-80%) is devoted to the fairer sex, but they've got a great selection of stuff for guys. For those who are unfamiliar, the selection runs the gamut from yoga, running, and cycling apparel, to just straight workout type stuff. I ended up getting an awesome stretchy jacket that looks great, is comfy, and according to the sales guy, will last for years. My wife ended up with a running skirt/shorts thingy. Slightly pricey, but I'm told this is some high-quality shizz. Definitely going back when I am in the market for this type of stuff. read more

This Lulu store has a pretty good selection! Stuff that the store in Oakbrook is out of they still had, which is super exciting. I also feel like the staff was much more friendly here, assisting both myself and Melanie R. I was trying one thing on, and the girl in the fitting room area brought me another size as well as another option to check out. I'm not gonna lie, I've had to just take over and get myself a fitting room at other locations so this was a very nice change. I asked if they had any bright colored crops in, which they didn't but instead of just being sorry they did offer me the idea of a colorful pant and getting it hemmed since there is free hemming. This was clever, and also a great way to give a customer another option rather than just turning them away. All in all, I really liked my experience at this location. read more

Love love love the clothes but tonight I am terribly disappointed at the service. I bought a tank two days ago,tags still on. Brand spankin new. I didn't try it on in the store too busy with young kids and I know if it doesn't work I can easily bring it back. I go two days later and it's on my husbands charge card. I return it and she tells me she can only take it back and give me a store credit. Apparently every other store can take their merchandise back and refund the card w receipt but here as a long standing customer I don't get the same courtesy. Mind you I have ordered online at lands end, brought the item back w the emailed receipt and did not have to present my card. Gap banana Bike Under Armour. I have never had to present my card for a return. Perhaps in the 1990s yes. But now? Come on. All the info is on the receipt and the transaction is stored in the system. Now I have to make a second trip drag my husband to the store for this. If you give customers a difficult time the one time they need to bring clothes back they will STOP coming in altogether to save themselves the headache. read more

*Sigh* These lulu ladies know how to treat a customer right. I was looking for a certain fall and winter jacket that I saw on line. After doing a little closet cleaning (and donating several winter coats), I decided to bite the bullet and invest in a fabulous new lulu coat. I made a call to make sure they had my size and the staff was friendly and fair. I made a stop by their clearance section, where I chose a very flattering new yoga top. They even wished me the best of luck in the 2010 Illinois Asana Championship in a very lulu way when I made my purchase. Thanks girls!! You made my day. read more
