I know this is even my own pet peeve and I shouldn't have tried to shop there as they were closing but I was desperate to find more gifts for my niece as other stores lacked charm in their selections. They couldn't have been helpful and nice as I didn't even feel rushed. They were even helpful suggesting various gift ideas for my nieces' baptism. The feel in the store is very chic and welcoming and their selection is appropriate given the quality and uniqueness of the items. Upon giving the gift, my sister called me later in the night raving about how cute the outfit was and how it had its own spunk to it. She also raved about the baptism frame that had a rustic feel to it. I would highly recommend this store. It has been my fourth time in the store, and even though I have no children of my own, its my go to store in Naperville for children's gifts of my family and friends.

Take the time to look at everything because you might just stumble on the perfect baby/shower gift. There were even a few pairs of adorable shoes for those babies who are not yet standing or walking. Sizes start with newborn and go up to 4T and there is a sister store in Geneva, so if this store doesn't have the size you are looking for, the other store might. I did purchase a few things, but I did not feel pressured in any way. Jennie was able to answer all my questions and welcomed me to browse for as long as I wanted. I came because I've been interested in a Tula since my baby was born. I had tried several carriers and she wasn't really a fan of any except the baby k'tan (which I do love, but she slides down after about 20mins of wearing it). I wanted something studier for her and obviously something cute too! I found the perfect Tula in the shop. The woman in the shop was so pleasant and helpful in getting it to fit properly. I never would have got that by purchasing online. They sell cloth diapers new and used. So many cute prints!! I will have to come back and buy some soon. They had the softest cutest clothing. Hair bows galore. Muslin blankets. Amber teething jewelry. I was in baby heaven at this store! I honestly would purchase one of everything if I could afford it.

You'll find lots of clothes, blankets, and books, as well as a couple wagons, strollers, and car seats. The owner is a midwife as well so you might avail yourself of services, too. I bought a couple of onesies that are magnetized. I keep hearing "no snaps!!" (but like EVERY PIECE of baby clothing has snaps...), so these were intriguing. They have a magnets along the flap as the closure mechanism so I bought a couple in the 6-9 month and above size to try them out. I have high hopes!

I thought I would stop here first, head to Kohl's and/or Carter's if I can't find anything here (since these stores are in the same strip mall). I was looking for some toddler pants BTW. I found a couple, good quality pants for my daughter. However, the signs baiting me in the store said 50-60% off winter clearance. Not one thing I saw in the store had these prices. I saw signs for 25% off only. Ok, there might be something if you reeeeeally look for it, but especially nothing in the toddler sizes. Disappointing. I wish that was the worst. But unfortunately this store needs to train their employees better. I was incredibly disheartened to hear a male worker and a female worker speak quite badly about a woman customer they had earlier that day. The woman apparently bought some baby clothes here for her daughter's baby doll. The employees ripped her apart for spending $ on real kids clothes for a doll. I guess I get where they were coming from, but 1) the lady gave your store some business 2) you were talking unnecessarily horribly about her IN FRONT OF ME AND OTHER CUSTOMERS. I walked out without purchasing anything and I won't be back. Treat your customers better and shame on your employees. So sorry to make this my 200th review on Yelp.

There weren't a ton of things in the store and there seemed to be a lot of space behind the counter with things that hadn't gotten out on the shelves yet. I was grateful that I as able to find a few items. When checking out the woman wasn't friendly and really didn't say anything to me other than the total. Also kind of tucked away and hard to find. Probably not my first Once Upon A Child that I will return too.

Majority of the store was girl clothes, but we were able to find some board books and part take in their bodysuit sale. We found a bunch of cute onesies for super cheap. We also looked around at their bassinets, and various nursery items to see if we could find things we didn't have and they were fairly priced. Overall, it was a decent experience. While waiting to check out, I saw the employees buying some of the items this family brought in. It was nice to know that they buy things gentle used and wash them before putting them on the floor for folks to purchase.

She brought me three other dresses that she thought I would like. I'm glad she did because I normally won't spend $100 and up on a dress for myself. I really liked one of her suggestions so I purchased it. I was happy there was a 20 percent off sale. The dress ended up being $140 but I think I'll get enough wears from it making it worth it. They were so helpful with their recommendations and letting me know their thoughts on which dress was the best for me to buy. I didn't feel pushed into buying either. Can't wait to come again in the future to see new arrivals!
