Moving is never easy. It is probably one of the most stressful events to have to go through. What happened on Friday, September 17 was by far the most pleasant move I have ever experienced. Vaja (I hope I am spelling his name right) and his partner arrived at 9:15am, and despite the lack of parking options on that street, was able to get going with the move. The loading up at pick up point was executed quickly, and off they went. There was a lot of traffic getting from Manhattan to Brooklyn so at the drop off I had to wait for them a little bit, but I knew from my own ride into Brooklyn it would take them a moment to get there. When they arrived they had the help of one additional mover, and together all three got my stuff into the storage space in no time at all. Any challenges earlier in the day between parking the truck and traffic soon disappeared with smiles and good cheer as the job completed. The job was done by 12:15pm. No supplies were left behind at either pick up or drop off. I would say based on the performance of not just the movers but in the organization process, and customer service given, that I would work with Simply Moving and Moved.com again should I have to move in the future. ***HIGHLY RECOMMENDED***

After talking to them, I knew I wanted to go with them. Their customer service, attention to details, and organization are 5-star levels. One thing that really stood out to me was that instead of asking me how many boxes I need, they asked me to send them pics of my place and stuff, and they calculated the number of small, medium and large boxes I need. It's so easy to underestimate and get a different price at the end. Also, I know I wanted packers because its speeds up the entire process of moving and settling in. I'm so glad I did with Roadway. It usually takes me over half a week to pack and be stressed for over a week, but Diego and his 3 teammates packed up our studio in 2-3 hours. They're so professional. They moved so quickly with care and accuracy. Most importantly, all my kitchen appliances were wrapped with care and delivered and arrived to my new apartment in the same condition. It took us about 2 hrs to settle in, and they once again unpacked most of the furnitures and reassembled them, making me feel settled in and relaxed. I cannot thank their team enough. The only professional was Johantan, polite and helpful. The other two guys didn't do much. They locked their tools in their truck so they ended up using our tools and one of the guys lost 2 hrs unscrewing 6 little desks as he didn't know how to use Dewalt. Their (Uhall) truck didn't fit all our stuff (so we have to rent movers again), they dumped our stuff in front of our building, kept complaining all day about how this is a difficult task, and left us to finish their move. We overpaid for 2 hrs at the end, got to work the entire day and it cost us more than hiring professional movers. Lesson learned, always take professional movers, not some neighborhood boss!

This was my first time hiring movers and J & G Moving exceeded my expectations! The move went so…read moresmoothly that I highly recommend them. I price-compared a ton of NYC moving companies and J & G gave me a competitive moving quote. Additionally, the building I was moving into required a certificate of insurance (COI) and J & G was able to offer it for me for free. A lot of other companies charge for this. Before moving, I communicated with them via email and they always responded promptly and were very clear about what their moving package included. The day of the move, they called and asked if it was okay if they came an hour early. They were very communicative with me during the whole move. The lead guy (forgot his name!) assessed how many things I had and then discussed with the other 2 men on how to efficiently approach the move. The 3 men were over 6' tall and strong, and they were able to finish my whole move in a little more than 1 hr! I did not have anything that was easily breakable but the men treated my things with care. They provided blanket and shrink wrapping for all of my furniture. Everything was loaded up into their truck very quickly. These guys wasted no time. When I arrived at my new apartment building, they had already started unloading my things. I had my boxes labeled with what was inside (i.e., kitchen supplies, shoes, jackets) and they actually placed each box in the corresponding room. Best of all, there were no hidden fees. They ended up not charging me a processing fee that was included in the quote and gave me $40 off my quoted price. The movers were so friendly, communicative and professional, I will definitely be using J & G Moving again! I also wanted to note that on the day of my move, the street I was moving from was blocked due to construction. J & G movers did not complain or make any mention of that until I had stepped outside of my apartment building and noticed it. These guys provide excellent customer service and I was very impressed by them.

Night and day experience from move into the same building with a big name company during the summer. The prior company had to partially dismantle the stairwell to get things into the building and the end cost was twice as high. Moving from the same brownstone to an elevator building with detailed rules and regulations, this time in mid-winter-- even with sub-zero temperatures, 2-foot snowbanks and a disorganized client, JP Urban was wonderful. the process of planning the move and arranging the advance paperwork with JP was seamless.
