With extremely short notice they were able to provide me with a truck with 3 movers for pretty much the very next day. On the day of the move the movers communicated with me early to touch base and arrived in the window they gave me. They worked efficiently and quickly to get it all done. They packed the truck like Tetris masters and took care of delicate items. Loose items which I thought would be troublesome actually ended up carted away together to be brought to the truck with ease. The movers didn't take pause and overall the move went much quicker than I imagined it would take. Upon arriving at my destination they worked with equal speed to get everything into my home. They also helped place large items in the room of my choice. I had no issues with items upon arrival. TL;DR-Communication 10, punctuality 10 speed 10 Rate 10 Advanced Moving Pros get it done.

My Experience With Advanced Pro Movers -- Please Read Before Booking…read more I hired Advanced Pro Movers on July 17, 2026, through U-Haul Moving Help to load and unload my belongings. The owner, Aaron, advised me that the movers would likely go over the two hours I had already paid for. I agreed to add additional time through the U-Haul app. However, Aaron asked if I could pay him directly through Cash App instead, and I agreed at the time. I later learned that additional moving services and payments associated with a Moving Help booking should be handled through the Moving Help platform. This became especially concerning because I had purchased U-Haul's SafeMove coverage for my move. Since I paid the unloading portion separately through Cash App, I was concerned that the damages to my belongings would not be covered under the protection I had purchased. When Aaron and his team loaded my U-Haul, I noticed that they did not use the furniture pads that were provided with the truck. When they unloaded my belongings into my storage unit, my items were placed inside without what I considered reasonable care. A few days later, certified movers helped me with my belongings and discovered that several items had been damaged. I originally left a good review just like the other customer before I saw the damage they caused when my certified movers came to move my belongings from storage. Thank God for the cameras in the storage unit because Aaron is trying to place the blame on my other movers. When the cameras prove everything. I contacted Aaron and requested a refund because of the issues with the service, but I did not receive a response. I was charged $150 through the Moving Help website and an additional $180 through Cash App for the unloading portion. The storage unit was directly across the street. Aaron also told me that he had recently lowered his pricing around the time I booked. Additionally, I gave Aaron a couch to sell on my behalf, and he sold it for $225. In total, Aaron received approximately $555 from me between the moving services and the couch transaction. I'm sharing my experience so other customers can make an informed decision. If you use Advanced Pro Movers through U-Haul Moving Help, I recommend making sure every moving service, additional hour, and payment is processed through the Moving Help platform rather than paying separately. I also recommend taking photographs and videos of your belongings before the movers arrive, during loading, and after unloading, and keeping records of every payment and conversation. This review reflects my personal experience with Advanced Pro Movers on July 17, 2026.

Shopping for a moving company can be a challenge. From first contact til we completed the move, Seamens was super helpful and professional every step of the way, and, by the way, came highly recommended by my new building as a suggested moving company. Many moving companies quote prices by the items you have, and provide a flat rate based on those items, which could increase or decrease on the day of the move. Seamens prices based on the hour, with a 4 hour labor minimum (and 1 hour min drive time). For certain types of moves, such as a large 1 bedroom like mine, this worked out perfectly for me. Once we got the ball rolling with their Sales team (Mike is awesome and patient), they provided the COI to the new building, and everything was super smooth. They showed up slightly early on move day, and was ready to go at the agreed time. The foreman (Oscar) was very knowledgable, professional, and communicated well throughout the move to his team, and to us as the customer. The team was careful with my belongings, and respectful to the property of both the pickup building and delivery building. I would definitely recommend Seamens for any NYC move.

They scheduled a zoom/facetime walk-thru of my apartment to see what I needed and to give me a better quote. I had started packing already and got all my own boxes so it was easy to see what I had left. What I really liked was the 'no BS' hidden fees. It was one price that wouldn't change, no matter the hours or added last minute box. Of course my move was scheduled and it had to snow. Thankfully this didn't stop them. 4 guys showed up right on time (during a snow storm on a friday morning rush hour in the city). They walked thru and got a game plan, then brought up all the blankets and plastic wrap and got to work. TVs were dismounted and put in boxes, mattresses were put in boxes as well. The amount of blankets they used to wrap my furniture made me so happy. While they took their time, they were still hustling - running from the truck to the apartment. Once we got to my new place, they covered my stairs with runners and wore plastic booties to ensure my floors weren't messed up. I wish I had bought the wall mount for my TVs for my new place, because they offered to set me up. The only thing I was disappointed about was that my couch didn't fit thru the garage entry so it was left in the garage. I wish they had tried thru the front door but they were adamant that it still wouldn't fit. After 7 hours, I wasn't going to push them. Regardless, would 100% recommend Veterans Movers and also hope Roadway doesn't ruin this small-business. I wish I could remember the 4 guys that helped me move to give them a shoutout! Thx!!!

The good news is, I was able to dig out my own set for them. The bad news is I'm still waiting for it back. I didn't even want to ask them to reassemble it in the new location. If I had, thought, I might still have the hardware it came with which they also took. Lest you think the damage was limited to the furniture, don't worry. They also dropped a box containing imported olive oil and red wine vinagrette which would have made a nice salad, if it weren't busy being a threat to life and limb for days, while their (admittedly hilarious) attempts to shove a modestly-sized couch down a hallway is surely a mortal threat to my security deposit. I booked these guys after reading the great reviews on Yelp. Maybe the crew we had was new, but…read morethey were untrained, unprofessional, and did an overall poor job. They were 2 hours late for a 9am appointment. It then took them over 6 hours to move our 1 bedroom apartment - and we stopped them before they had reassembled the table and bed frame because we were worried about them damaging things further. They were basically the opposite of Midas' golden touch. It felt like everything they touched was damaged by the end of the move. They didn't know how to properly wrap things (it just so happens that the person I was moving with used to be a mover and was appalled). The were clumsy, careless, and had no hustle whatsoever. This was an elevator building and they blew right past our reservation window. Even my sweet, white haired maintenance man was aghast at their slowness and dawdling. At least 2 of them argued about how the other one was doing something wrong. They claim it took them 2 hours to drive from Lincoln Square to Gowanus because "a street was closed". I drove the same path twice that day (on streets, not highways) in 40 minutes. We actually used google maps at the time of their departure, which said (including traffic and avoiding highways) less than 45 minutes. They were not prepared - no extra boxes (we could've used another large box but the stores were sold out), and they ran out of furniture wrap. They also accidentally left with the hardware to our furniture so that we couldn't reassemble things ourselves without ordering new hardware. We tried to contact them about the missing hardware and the damage to our furniture and never received a response. I waited 2 months to write this review to give them a chance to respond to the calls/emails. Still nothing. The only thing I have to give them credit for, is that In the middle of the move when we called to see about compensation for the excessive lateness in the morning, they gave a discount of the price of 2 movers per hour instead of 3. But after seeing the results of the move, I was nothing but disappointed.
