I always love Korean BBQ and can honestly say this place was average. The service and ambiance was good for food court standards. I ordered the bulgogi bowl combo that came with a soup. The bulgogi was standard and the portion was small on the meat vs rice ratio. You also don't get the choice of soup which was upsetting because the only option that you have was the super spicy soup. Unfortunately I was unable to eat super spicy and was only left with that option. For like $16.99......., it would have been nice to have a little more bulgogi to rice ratio and have an option for none spicy soup.

This place was a definitely a must try for me every time I went to Food Gallery 32 in k town. It always smells good when I walk by it. It's one of the small vendors in food gallery and they serve a variety of different bbq meals. The curry bbq caught my eye as I never considered to mix bbq and curry. It was decent but definitely better curry around the area. I believe it's just what I ordered but the server was nice the entire time. I'd def recommend trying it if you have the chance. It was an interesting choice.

Order of BBQ Chicken Curry Rice w/ the Curried Rice & BBQ Chicken served separately but still very delicious
    Lonnie K.

The BBQ Curry Rice ($16.99) tastes very delicious and is very fulfilling indeed nonetheless, just not what I have expected from seeing the menu pic or by reading the food description. In fact, I find it as bit of misleading in a way. What I have originally thought: BBQ Chicken Curry Over Rice meaning the rice and chicken would be drenched in curry sauce. What I actually got: BBQ Chicken in a tray-like dish served with a decent-size bowl of curry with rice separately on the side. Umm certainly not what I've expected nor pictured in my mind but okay, I guess it will have to do. Service tends to be fast and lady seems to be friendly. You can pay with credit/debit card or cash. Food will be ready in 10-12 mins. They'll hand you a rectangular buzzer and the receipt after you've paid & placed your order. Buzzer will then vibrate & flash in red when it's time to go pick up your food. Ambiance wise is just another vendor/booth inside Food Gallery 32. Restroom is on the 3rd floor of food court. Nothing more and nothing less as you can see. The price range is considered as fairly reasonable because this is K-Town after all despite inflation times and that prices have generally gone up for anything including food nowadays. Curry tastes more like Japanese-styled which is on the sweeter and thicker side but I wouldn't have minded if it has a spicier kick to it. There're some bits of carrots and potatoes which I appreciate. However, three pieces of broccoli and some diced scallions look rather sad on top of the curried rice because they could have offered more veggies in the dish. My suggestion would be to add more variety of veggies like zucchini, snow peas, cauliflower, eggplant, onion, bell peppers and maybe even chickpeas as well. Another thing is that, I would've liked to see more rice included since I don't think that's actually an entire order of rice to begin with. Moreover, the ratio of rice vs curry isn't quite balanced out (meaning it's not split 50/50) ~ more like 50% curry + 40% rice + 10% the so-called few pieces of veggies. I did enjoy the food in the end. I might try getting other dishes next time. Lastly, I still think they should definitely fix the wording & put a more accurate pic to match what it exactly looks like on the menu. Therefore, nobody would be able to say that the outcome doesn't even look like anything in comparison to the stuff from the menu. |*******[END]*******|

Ate here today for lunch by myself after picking up my pair of solar eclipse glasses at B&H. I had brought the BBQ pork belly over rice and asked to add a sunny side up egg. It had tasted really good and delicious. The service there was also attentive and great. I couldn't agree more. Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time! :)

Located inside Food Gallery 32, a food court in Korea town, on the first floor to the left. This is a quick, casual place for food. Everything was flavored nicely, especially the pickled side dishes, but the pork belly texture was too soft. Would've been much better crispy. The kalbi was delicious. You bus your own dishes after. There is a disposal room toward the front entrance of the court next to the stairs.

Tried the three meats bowl and thought the pork was good but the chicken was lacking. It was pretty slow on a weekend as well. Overall, it was okay

I wish I could give this a 3.5. I'll give it a 4 because I didn't hate it. I was just underwhelmed. I paid $19 for the curry bbq pork bowl and the quality didn't match the price. While the food was decent it just felt like it was lacking. I couldn't say if it was the flavor or as I mentioned the quality. If it was a few dollars cheaper then I'd have no problems with what I got. It was decent tasting food and with a decent portion. However for $19 I expect more than decent. I don't think I would go back based on the quality of food I got even if it wasn't a bad meal.

I got the bibimp rice bowl. It was delicious but my only complaint was that they did not have a side of gochujang. I'd recommend going to another stand to buy some or even coming with your own.

If there's a long queue for Kobe Bryant's signature, that's a Kobe-queue. All of the Korean eateries and stalls inside Manhattan's shiny new and amazing Food Gallery 32 are pretty excellent, and most of them are Korean - this one has Korean BBQ. It's not the best you'll ever have (unlike my Barbie), but it's a lot cheaper than most that you'll have (unlike my Barbie), especially in New York City - and I appreciate it along with all the other great stalls in this excellent food court.

I came here a little before closing, and they only took cash. I ordered the bibim rice bowl, and they had already run out of most of the meats. The only meat they had was pork, so I made do with that. I like the fact that they guy prepared my food right after ordering so it was nice and fresh. It came with a spicy soup, that was very very spicy. The food was just average, it was not bursting with flavor. The portion size was not big at all. For the price I paid, I expected more food.

I read the rave reviews about this place so decided to try it out. I settled on the bbq rice platter...and was really disappointed with what I got. Basically paid $15 for white rice, beansprout soup and corn, beansprouts and shredded carrots. It was a meager amount of bulgogi (the meat I ordered). It tasted standard and I regretted my purchase. Maybe I should've walked further to the back and ordered bulgogi over rice from there instead.

I'd first learned of Kobeque when I stumbled across their Yelp page and saw that they have a Korean BBQ burrito (hello, delicious!) This tiny food stall is located inside Food Gallery 32, a food court in K-Town with primarily Korean food options. We came on a Thursday afternoon for lunch, when the place was not terribly busy. We had the BBQ wrap with bulgogi ($11.99) and the eel BBQ rice bowl ($14.99). The wrap comes with a side of chips and mild salsa, and the bowl comes with some pickled radish, cucumber kimchi, and some kind of broth with bean mung sprouts. Note that Kobeque does not sell any drinks, but you can always visit another stall that does while you wait for your food to be prepared. The food so very delicious, especially for a fast food stall! Both the bowl and the wrap were PACKED with flavor and had the Korean signature balance of sweet and savory. Yum, yum, oh my god yum. My only complaint with regard to the food is that the wrap had a bit too much liquid in it that dripped all over the place while we were scarfing it down. Service is a little slow, but not terrible for the lunch rush. Seating is limited on the 1st floor (where Kobeque is located), but you can take your food upstairs where there is more space.

This BBQ spicy pork at Kobeque! And it is so tasty the pork is nice and tender with that kick of spice.

First time going to Food Gallery 32. We accidentally came across while walking in Koreatown and we ain't even mad coming cross this amazing food court. We didn't know what to get so over whelmed. But we saw Korean and Barbecue words put together so we were sold. This BBQ spicy pork at Kobeque! And it is so tasty the pork is nice and tender with that kick of spice, helping us not get sick from that snow. Just all around wonderful dish. You gotta try! We have to come back to Food Gallery 32 just to try Kobeque and try their Bulgogi Bibimbap this time. Best choice of the day. Ohhh if you haven't have Bulgogi beef before you are missing out. It is one of our favorite Korean dish! Nice and flavorful Bulgogi beef on top of rice and an egg on the side, mmmm !

Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. Most of the space was taken up by the accompaniments that come with it (veggies, etc), so there was hardly any room to put anything else. Manhattan, NY (Koreatown) - I love BCD and frequent the one in Fort Lee pretty regularly, but for…read moreyears have assiduously avoided this NYC location as it's always a madhouse every time I've come here for dinner with friends or co-workers, and because there are so many other great Korean options on this strip. But there's no denying that BCD has upped their soondubu game considerably in the last decade+ with a thicker, more deeply flavored broth, and now easily rivals my longtime favorite and gold standard, the OG So Kong Dong in Fort Lee. Then I stumbled into a hack that changed my view: lunch! I ducked in for a late lunch on a whim while walking by one day, and this turned out to be a much chiller hour, unhurried and no reservation needed. I was promptly seated, my order taken, and the banchan swiftly laid out. The banchan spread is solid across the board (the little fried fish does nothing for me, but seems to be a highlight for everyone else). I especially love the kimchi, near-perfect IMO, and the pickled cucumber. There's a modest lunch discount, which is a nice bonus for someone who likes to order aggressively. I usually get an oyster, seafood, or assorted soondubu (with a raw egg cracked in), danger spicy of course! Or go the C1 combo route with a galbi (marinated bbq beef short ribs) + smaller soondubu. It's an enormous amount of food, so I take most of the galbi home and feel no shame about it. The galbi, by the way, has also gotten noticeably better over the years - meatier, tender, and the flavor is on point. I've also enjoyed their bibimbap, bulgogi, jap chae, and seafood pancake. Finally, let's talk heat - this chili-head loooves fire! And BCD's danger level is one of the rare instances where the spice level actually meets my punishing tolerance for heat, not some pretense at "American spicy.," despite this being a chain. Their danger level actually means business and brings tears to my eyes, literally. It's still not my favorite place ambience wise, and dinner remains a contact sport I've mostly opted out of, as gone are the days that I can tolerate a culinary mosh pit, and any wait longer than 10 minutes (and only for a superlative place) will trigger an automatic ejection of my presence. But for lunch? Unexpectedly great. 4 stars for dinner, 5 for lunch.

Our party of 2 got there around 5:30pm on a weekend and thankfully only waited a few minutes. Great deal on food! They are very generous with the banchan. The seafood soondubu stew was very seafood-y (which I liked). Everything was very good. You can control the spice level - beware, the spicy levels are quite spicy!! Can't wait to return!

I went with my sister and my daughter. We ordered the beef combo for 2 and a seafood pancake. The portion was just right. The quality of the beef was pretty good and was cooked to perfection (I requested for medium-rare). My sister had her portion cooked to well done since she is currently pregnant and didnt want to risk having any problems (not everything ended up being well done though). I personally prefer the pancake from elsewhere but it was not bad. My picky daughter really liked it. The combo came with a steam egg and boy was that good. Our meal ended with a yummy ice cream for each of us. This meal however made a pretty big dent in my wallet. It was my fault for not checking the menu before heading in. I didnt want to walk any further with my toddler and my pregnant sister since it started raining outside.

Good portion sizes for the 2-person shared BBQ lunch- be it Bulgolgi beef, stewed soup, or Banchan…read morewith 6 varieties of small dishes. Soup and Banchan both receive high marks for how good they taste. Also ordered a separate beef short rib lunch special, the rib was cooked to perfection and the sauce applied was very flavorful. Servers were friendly and mostly attentative, restaurant decors and cleanliness of interiors and bathrooms were quite good. Would come back again next time in the Herald Square area.
