First off this place is right on 42nd St. times Square New York baby. The atmosphere is so dope lots of people lots of seating. Soon as we got in there, we were seated right away. A waiter took our orders and our food came out. It was like magic. We got the henny wings, cheeseburger with fries, and the chicken and ribs. The food was really good. The kids enjoyed it. The cornbread was okay.
The only reason it's getting a 3 is because the Knicks game was on & the vibes were lit. But besides that, I was disappointed. I haven't been since maybe 2013 or 2014 and now I remember why. I used to order the wings but they too big so didn't order that. Ordered the smokehouse bbq, brisket, pulled pork & ribs. The pulled pork was cool the brisket wasn't well done, the ribs were okay. The best thing was the baked potato. Now the drinks came out right away HOWEVER, the food took damn near an hour to come out. We almost left when it came out. I'm almost confident I won't ever be back unless it's just for drinks. And since I barely drink I highly doubt I'll be back.
Need a fun place to eat while sightseeing and shopping near 42nd Street? A restaurant that can accommodate a large party? You must try Dallas BBG. The staff tries to accommodate you while waiting for everyone to arrive. But the staff prefers to sit everyone at once. The menu offers excellent crowd pleasers like wings, homemade fries, and burgers. And unique cocktails, some with an extra shot in a bottle that sits in your drink. My phone died while at Dallas BBQ, so one photo is from the restaurant and the other is from my wings doggy bag that I took home.
It's a reason this place has been around for 48 years! You'll have some who say its not as good as when they first opened but honey let me tell you they are GOODT! Some will also say it's a tourist trap but I honestly believe it depends on what your looking for in your dining experience. I also don't think it's fair to compare it to any BBQ you'd find in the State of Texas. There are key differences between Dallas BBQ v Real Authentic Texas BBQ. There's a difference in meat selection, cooking methods and sauce. It's more about the experience than "pure" BBQ. The most Texas thing about this spot is the size of their portions with food and drinks being huge. Also, if your looking for complex culinary, sophisticated, and upscale, this ain't it. If your looking for quiet, nope not here. Yet it surpasses today's run of the mill standards of good quality comfort food affordably priced. I purposely did not eat anything all day just so I could enjoy all my faves such as the sticky wings, cornbread and the turkey chilli. First off you cannot come here and not order the wings! It was my friends first time dining here and when she read the menu she thought the wings were going to be those tiny rinky dink flats and drums, but no ma'am! These are nice size WHOLE WINGS. Attempting to eat all 5 of them will have your belly popping out of your shirt and have you snoring at the table! I can eat 4 on an empty stomach but 5 is a lot especially if your eating anything else or drinking. So if you want to try other menu items get them to share or just be prepared to take some home. The Hennessey wings are good but after eating two of them the flavor is a bit overwhelming to me. You will not find a better chilli than theirs!! Their chilli is so flavorful without being spicy hot. I love that I can enjoy their chilli, it's the right texture, consistency, well seasoned and you can tell its good quality ground turkey. The drinks are lit! Generous amount of alcohol. Everything is TEXAS size even if your ordering something as basic as an apple juice! lol I guarantee you will not need to ask your waiter for a refill. Trust me! One major upgrade they need to do here is to the women's bathroom. I can't speak for the men's room except that there's never a line for it. Meanwhile the line hangs outside the women's bathroom and into the walkway of the restaurant. Its just not enough stalls to accommodate guests for a restaurant this size. The midtown location is MASSIVE seating between 500-800 people across three levels. However, there's literally only about 5 or 6 stalls in the women's bathroom. That ratio is way off. Anyhoo besides that this place rocks. Solid service and good food.
Came for dinner after a Broadway show, it was not crowded but the wait was incredible slow. 15 minutes for water, another for drinks and over an hour to get our food. We had wings, ribs, Mac and cheese, shrimp and cod. I thought the sticky wings were good but the Hennessy wings were not special at all, just basic BBQ. Drinks are always good for the price and I don't even know how or when I said extra shot. The waiter was nice but kept forgetting things.
Stopped in here before catching a play nearby and it turned out to be a convenient spot to grab a quick bite. The space is large, with multiple floors and plenty of seating, which was a nice surprise considering how busy the Times Square area can get. Prices were reasonable for the location, which I definitely appreciated. We ordered a mix of items including chicken, ribs, shrimp, guacamole, sides, and a couple of alcoholic drinks. The food was decent overall and hit the spot before the show. Customer service was fine, though nothing particularly memorable, and the same could be said for the food. Still, the location, space, and fair pricing make it a practical option when you're in the area. Overall, it was an adequate experience. I'd stop by again when I'm nearby for the convenience and reasonable prices.
After a long day of traveling into the city, this was a decent spot to stop for lunch before exploring the big city. It's a great option if you're unsure where to dine. I especially loved the complimentary cake pops at the end of our meal , such a nice touch! The staff and service were quick and efficient, which allowed us to eat and continue enjoying the rest of our day.
Okay Yelp! We're out the chat in NYC! Dallas Bbq I was told it was 10/10! But I'm Texas Girlie here! This place is cool! I love the location! Customer service was just ok. The best part was the person taking professional photos! The food was not good! I really wanted to like this place! It's definitely a busy location. Would I go back? Probably not! And I mean this so well! It was worth the shot!
We were in Times Square acting like tourists and decided to stop in for a late lunch. We were seated right away which was easy because this location is huge!! They have seating upstairs and downstairs which was nice. There were several large groups there but you would never notice based on how fast the food came out! Our waitress was nice. We ordered the infamous Hennessey wings which were huge. Very nice sized full wings. Me and my sister ordered a side of Cole slaw and my friend ordered the Mac and cheese which had crumbled bacon on top. Like I said, everything came out quickly and hot. The drinks were OK. $10.99 for a regular margarita was a bit much especially since the cup wasn't regular sized. All in all, it was a good dining experience at this location. Definitely check it out if you're close to Times Square and want some good food. Sidenote: I don't know if it was something special for the holidays or something they regularly do but there was a photographer walking around offering to take a free picture. At the end of the meal, they brought us our free picture in addition to some for purchase. One they manipulated into Pixar version! It was so cute and very nice. It was $20 and definitely worth it if you wanted to capture a fun moment.
Haven't eaten here in years. I used to love it, but not so much this time around. Maybe it was an off day The wings tasted like they were fried in old oil, and the ribs barely had any meat or sauce on them. The rotisserie chicken was decent though. Not sure if I'll order from here again.
Dallas BBQ in Times Square is a must have when visiting NYC. You can start with any cocktail (make sure to get it Texas or Super Texas size) and you will get your money's worth. The food is super tasty, and if you're a chili lover, this is the spot to come to. This is their largest location and has other locations around NYC but the Times Square location is the best one. Because their food is so good, I think the service is not where it could be. It is a busy restaurant at a busy location but the waiters do the best they can. If you're lucky, you'll get to sit by the window on the 2nd floor and see the buildings and NYC views.
Bbqs in time square has never let me down! I enjoy their sticky wings with a side of ranch! To be honest 5 wings is more than enough for me. The chili is tasteful, I get it with the blue ranch Doritos, I make sure to crumble up the chips and then put them in the bowl. Food is always served hot, quick, and reliable.
It's Valentine's weekend and my wifey wanted one of her favorite go to restaurants to celebrate our love,Dallas BBQ in Times Square. So we took the metro North down to the city and wandered across the cross roads of the world. This place is always high energy and if you're lucky enough to get a window seat you can definitely enjoy the entertainment outside. Service was swift, drinks were Fantastic especially with the extra shot of your choice, food fantastic. You can't go wrong at Dallas BBQ IN TIMES SQUARE.
Oh yeah. My 2026 NYC trip......here we go. I will start my series of review with a 5 stars positive one. This one definitely came with a bit of surprise. Our hotel is right across the street. It was day 4 and we were packing for our return flight. I decided to have dinner around our hotel and Dallas BBQ just showed up first thing on my search. Here is the deal. for less than $60 buck, we got 2 decent trays of BBQ. This is NYC time square prime location. I just paid $19 dollars for a simple regular chipotle bowl + a bottle soda. Somehow, Dallas BBQ can sell banging meals for decent price. I think that this is even cheaper than some SoCal BBQ places for the amount of food we receive. I always love eating here! Never fails. The food and drinks are always on point. I literally get the same thing every time I really need to start branching out and trying something different! The waiter took a little while to come over and didn't come back to check on us this time, but honestly, that's not the norm. Usually, the service is great. Also, they have a photographer there who can take your photo. You get one photo for free, with the option to purchase additional photos if you want. read more

This section of Midtown is almost eerily quiet on a weekday at certain time intervals. It's just one of those things you know if you know! This BBQs location is wonderful to dine-in during those times. The food and drinks are delicious, same as the other locations. The service is okay; it truly depends on how busy or empty it is when you're there. I go here solo or with friends if it's convenient. read more

It's been a while since I've went to Dallas BBQ. I wanted to enjoy a nice drink after a long day. I met up with my friend. I ordered the Tripple D Texas size drink which had Hennessy Colada, shots of Dusse and the Dusse sidecar. The drink was very good and enjoyable. For my appetizer I ordered the Angry Shrimp. It was well prepared and delicious. The server was very helpful and attentive. The restaurant was not noisy at all as it was a Tuesday evening. For my entree, I ordered the BBQ Bacon, Cheese and Onion burger. The burger was well made and tasted great. I enjoyed my entire meal and I'll return soon. Great dinner for a great price. read more
I haven't been here in over a decade so I curious to see if the quality was still good. We were a large group of 10. We were seated as soon as everyone in our party arrived. It was a friday night but it wasn't too many people inside surprisingly. Some of our orders got a little mixed up but overall everything else came out well. It did take a while before we got our food. I got the ribs and shrimp combo with a side of fries. The food was good but I feel like portion size of their food drastically decreased from how it used to be. As my drink I got the patron passion paradise. Its a passion fruit and prickly pear daiquiri with a patron shooter and a mini patron margarita. It was tasty but it honestly had a lot going on. Next time I'll probably get a simpler bulldog drink. The food and the service were wonderful. We had a mixture of the plain fried wings, the sticky wings, and the Hennessy wings. They were all good. So was the onion loaf. And the drinks. We left out the restaurant full and with leftovers. A wonderful experience. read more
Popped in over here on Mother's Day based off of mom's request. We were immediately sat after being able to see the entire restaurant size (truly it is massive). The escalator was down so we took the steps up the exit as instructed. The theming as we walked through has a lot of bison and random art which was cool to see. The restroom was surprisingly small and felt very tight even though this establishment was huge. Also poorly lit. Once seated we glanced over the menu and I opted for a beer (the one I originally ordered they said they didn't have) a beyond burger and a baked potato. Overall the food was mediocre. You could only get butter, sour cream and cheese with the potato (I asked for chives and was told they didn't have that). The burger was bland and nothing to remember. They gave us free donuts? Cake pops? For Mother's Day which was nice, but they also were very bland. read more

"Hands down, the best BBQ in town!" If you are looking for authentic, mouth-watering BBQ, look no further. This place is the real deal! The Food: Absolutely incredible. I tried the baby back ribs and stake and it was perfectly smoky with a beautiful bark, and so tender it practically melted. The ribs fell right off the bone, and you can tell they take their time with the slow-smoking process. Don't sleep on the sides either--the fries and cornbread were the perfect companions to the meat. The Service: What really set this place apart was the hospitality. Even though they were busy, the staff was attentive, fast, and incredibly welcoming. Our server (TALIB) gave us great recommendations on the sauces and made sure our drinks were never empty. The Atmosphere: Clean, high-energy, and smells like heaven the second you walk through the door. It's clear the owners take great pride in both their kitchen and their dining room. This is my new go-to spot whenever I'm craving comfort food. I'm already planning my next visit! read more

I love me some BBQ but this wasn't my ideal place to come and dine. It was getting late and this was the only place in Times Square that was taking dine-in orders. Spacious and clean dining area, enjoyable music and a good view of Time Square. The waiter wasn't focus and not paying attention to our order. Luckly, I was hungry or I would of left out. I ordered the half slab of ribs, baked pototoe and a side of cornbread. The food rating 3/10 poor cooking. Nope this is not the place to come and dine if your ever visting N.Y. read more

Came here for lunch after church with a large group. The place was quite spacious with multiple levels. There was some cool artwork around and the decor was simple, yet nice. As to be expected, it took awhile to be seated and we could not all fit at one table. The hostess was able to seat us in the same area. I ordered the House Special, which consisted of baby back ribs, fried shrimp, sirloin steak, cornbread, crispy onion, along with a side of my choice. I went with the Fries, but should've gone with rice, as the Fries were soggy and not flavorful. I did enjoy the Fried Shrimp, Cornbread, and the Ribs. Fried Shrimp was in well seasoned batter, crunchy and juicy. Cornbread was buttery and soft. Ribs were tender and bold in flavor. The Sirloin Steak was not good... Too tough without much flavor. Service was decent. Pricing is a bit high, as this is a chain restaurant in Times Square. Since the food was mediocre, I would not return. read more

The food and service were both trash. I take that back. My macaroni was decent but they didnt put the cornbread crumbs on it and my orange fanta was amazing. The cornbread was brick hard. The vegetable medley seemed like it was from a bag and no flavor at all. The chicken was an entire wing and my sisters said it was okay. The server was terrible. He made us feel stupid when asking questions about the menu. There was someone walking around taking pictures. I thought we would enjoy our time as when we arrived the staff was on it. The restaurant was cute. They dont offer dessert and the sauces are $1 extra. My onions had no flavor at all other than tasting like dirty grease. Oh, and the server said he couldn't split our bill. read more

THIS PLACE IS HUGE LOL We walk in and keep going and then we take the escalator and the place just never ends omfg... kinda crazy. Got a seat by the window so it was fun watching down on people walk around. Food was fine. Got the sticky wings which okay, I got the 5pc bc i didn't wanna spend much but i was hungry so i was worried it wouldn't be enough but omg these "wings" were HUGE! Like these were large chicken strips, talk about value! The sticky sauce was interesting...... smokey but sweet but not like a bbq sauce but more candy vibes??? Weird af but the chicken was crispy and I went home with leftovers so I can't complain. Got a side of the mac and cheese which was standard. It did match a texas southern bbq style mac and cheese tho! The real kicker here are the DRINKSSSSSS omg one thing ive been lacking in nyc is the giant tex mex style frozen drinks and this place DELIVERED. Got a BANANA piña colada. Yeah thats right a BANANA ONE!!!! Amazing. I downed that bowl it was fire and I actually felt something off of it!!! Might not come back for the food but WILL be back for the drinks. read more

I love coming here because the drinks are amazing and the wings are extremely huge. I love how the staff was very informative on the business and the menus and any specials they had running that week or month. It's a great place to go with family or friends it a very casual vibe so no need to dress up it's also great to meet up for a happy hour with friends. The pina coladas were delicious and they are yummy and hugeeee you definitely get a bang for your buck here and it's a New York staple! read more
I visited this place for the first time today while I was in NY seeing a play on Broadway. The atmosphere was inviting, we were seated immediately and our food came out really quickly after we ordered. The biggest problem was the food was not good...at all...the cornbread was so dry and unflavorful that we couldn't eat it... should have known not to get chicken in a bbq place, but my friend said hers was dry and bland. The mac and cheese was so runny that even adding salt and pepper could not make it more palatable. The only redeeming qualities of the meal were the ribs, and the Hennessy Coladas. I truly wanted to like this place, but unfortunately I left hungry and not satisfied. The crazy thing is all around us, the food looked so appetizing on everyone else's tables. read more
