Ok i have been to Dave's hot chicken before. And I like the food. I think this location particularly needs to have atleast two people at the register and one giving out the orders. My order got mixed up because they put the wrong number on the food order. So I was waiting for a while. Before I had to ask for help on Why my food was taking so long. As I was waiting another employer walks in and takes over for the person who hands you the food. And the other employer went to the back to work on the food. I was going to stop by here again but saw that there was one person at the register again and a bunch of people waiting for there food. I didn't want to chance it so just went elsewhere. That's my only complaint about this particular Dave's. The food was good though.

TLDR: Friend ordered DHC delivery. Impressively it was quite crispy by the time we got it and the extra hot is in fact, extra hot. Try the Reaper if you want to have a spicy night and morning after. A friend of mine ordered a tray delivery and this was much tastier than I expected. Tried everything from mild, medium, hot, extra hot and one reaper for fun. We eventually found it and yeah - it is pretty insane. Overall it left a good enough impression that I wanted to see if there was one near home and fortunately, there is. Will be ordering again.

Good fast hot chicken. Service was excellent. Small number of 2 too tables inside (~8) . Small menu of sliders or tenders with many spice varieties w fries and drinks. Flavor was good. Good value 14 for 2 sliders and fries. Good sized tenders as well as juicy chicken. Dave's sauce a nice compliment as well as honey. Give it a try.

A personal favorite of mine. Dave's hot chicken. My item of choice. Combo 2, which is the 2 slider meal with fries. I do go with the hot level for chicken. There are 2 more levels above hot ( extra hot and atomic/reaper). This last visit was pretty good. Food was on point. It was quite busy when we went, but the food was prepared fairly quickly. They do have a reward program to accrue points, which can later be redeemed for menu items etc.

Overall: This is a small store that mostly caters to people carrying out. They basically only serve a few permutations of fried chicken tenders with different levels of spicy sauce. The meals are well executed and are probably a step above many of the other fast food chicken places nearby. The portions are pretty huge and always fresh. Its a good place to grab lunch. Food: 4 Service: 4 Value: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Food: Food is very good - probably closer to a 4.5, but doesn't quite push it over the top. I ordered the 2 slider meal, which comes with 2 sliders (full size chicken sandwiches) and fries. The chicken patty is basically just one of their tenders inside a roll with some cole slaw. The sauce is served in a small container on the side. Everything comes out hot and fresh. Fries are a bit over-seasoned. Service: The workers here are generally quick and polite. They mostly just operate the register and call out order numbers though. Value: All in, its ~$17 for the 2 slider meal. Its not horrible, but for a fast food its still a bit pricey. There is quite a lot of food. Atmosphere: Overall, the restaurant is small. There's maybe 10 total tables for customers. There is usually room to sit, though the line and people waiting for for typically fill up all of the remaining space. Its mostly a takeout spot.

Absolutely amazing. For a fast food place, this is as good as it gets for fried chicken that brings heat. The fries were well seasoned, crispy, and paired nicely with the Dave's Sauce. The hot spice level brought a good amount of heat that didn't overpower the flavor. Very crispy, juicy and fresh from the fryer. The pickles on the side also were a nice addition to the chicken. Super crowded, luckily was able to find a seat as someone was just leaving but the wait time is relatively low even on a busy evening.

THISSS!!! This place surprised me. I've heard of this place before, but never been. It was absolutely delicious. The chicken sandwich was just a tender in a bun, but it melted in your mouth and had unbelievable flavor. I got both mild and lite mild. The lite mild to me did not have any mild flavor to me. The guy at the front register was super friendly, sweet, and patient. The inside is super cute, but small so limited seating. I will definitely be back.

I placed an online order for scheduled pick up of 20 mini sliders the night before. When I arrived, they put my order on the counter 2-3 minutes later than the scheduled time. No big deal. I (and 2-3 other customers) then had to stand and wait for around 10 minutes while the two cashiers/employees working the front fiddled with something I can only hope was very important on one of their phones. One of them finally seems to realize she has a job to do and checks my order before handing it to me. I mentioned before that I ordered 20 mini sliders - what I received was 4 PIECES OF UNTOASTED WHITE BREAD CARPETING THE BOTTOM WITH PICKLES SCATTERED ON TOP, PICKLES AND SAUCE IN SEPARATE CONTAINERS. Mind you, the worker who gave it to me looked in the bag and looked at my receipt before handing this garbage to me. She was more than okay to see this out the door. Thankfully, I notice only a few steps out and go back in to ask them, more kindly than they deserved, to remake the order. They remake the order, which takes another 15-20 minutes. I am 30 minutes late for the event the sliders were for by the time I leave. What eliminated any remaining goodwill I had towards this location and franchise as a whole was when I arrived to my event, where unfortunately only then did I notice THEY HAD ONLY GIVEN ME 16 SLIDERS INSTEAD OF THE 20 I ORDERED. Also, despite ordering medium spicy on half, either all of the sliders were mild or their spice blend is just thoroughly bland and unnoticeable. Do not waste your time with this disrespectful restaurant. I highly recommend the Popeyes around the corner or the Raising Canes in the same neighborhood for a much better alternative that actually gives you what you order on time, low as that bar may be.

First time at Dave's. Quite impressed with the amount of food you get in an order. Tasty sliders. The sauce accents the sliders very well. Clean restaurant with friendly and quick service. Enjoyed the experience.

Tried Dave's in the city with a friend I wanted to meet up quickly with. Ive heard great things about this joint specifically because they use halal meat and we all know Halal fast food options are few and far between even in a place like New York City. The inside of the shop has ample amount of tables for a quick bite, although I will say the table tops were a little dirty and we had to clean it ourselves before getting seated. The chicken sliders were good, fried well and a generous portion of meat. I really liked the seasoning on the tenders and it was juicy and succulent inside. I do wish the sliders had more coleslaw to them, they need a fresh component. Fries were pretty standard. Overall I liked the flavors and would definitely pop by again for a quick bite. I especially love their extra hot it's actually spicy. Next time I'm gonna go for the reaper and see how that pans out.

    Yummmmmy!

A little shop, but the food is VERY good! The kale slaw is perfectly seasoned. The cheese fries come in a large portion and was served hot with crispy fries and lots of cheese. Perfect snack!

I have been dying to try Dave's chicken and see what the hype is about. I ordered their chicken tender sliders with French fries, not spicy. The fries were actually very crisp and the chicken had good flavor. It's not the most amazing chicken I have ever tried but it does have good flavor. I believe that for the price and flavor, it is a bit overhyped. The order did take a while since it was somewhat a busy afternoon. The menu is very small so the selections are limited.

Dave's Hot Chicken serves up deliciously seasoned hot chicken tenders and crispy fries at a great price. I ordered my meal to-go, and despite the busy crowd, it was ready fast and piping hot. The chicken had the perfect level of spice, and the portions were generous. The food is consistently good, and it's a reliable choice for a quick and satisfying meal. If you're craving flavorful hot chicken, this is the place to go - there's also an area to sit and eat too with an old school looking vibe.

I don't eat KFC much but I ordered a chicken sandwich and biscuit and they were fresh. I think I do prefer Popeye's slightly more but this location's proximity to Penn Station made it a convenient choice for me that day. There's some seating and a kiosk to order. You can also order with a worker directly as well.

Let me be clear: I'm not a regular KFC guy. I avoid it most of the time, but I work around here…read moreduring late hours, and options get limited fast. So I rolled the dice. And let's just say... the house won. I ordered a Chicken Sandwich, Spicy Wings, Fries, and the 3-sauce flight. The sandwich? Dry, old, and looking like it clocked out an hour before I arrived. The chicken itself was hard on the edges and somehow soggy in the center -- a combination I didn't even know was possible. The mayo situation looked like someone whispered the word "sauce" over the bun and walked away. The Spicy Wings were no better -- overcooked, dark, and tasted like they'd been sitting in the warmer since lunchtime. Not spicy. Not fresh. Just... tired. The fries? Burnt, cold, and absolutely done with life. They didn't even pretend to try. The only thing that saved this meal from being a total loss was the 3-sauce flight. Credit where it's due -- the sauces were actually solid. They added enough flavor and moisture to make the rest at least edible. Without them, this review would've ended a lot sooner. I get it -- it's Penn Station, it's late, everyone's hustling, and the crowd is nonstop. But even with that, freshness shouldn't be optional. Overall: If you're starving and desperate, grab the sauces and hope for the best. Otherwise? Keep walking. There are better options within the same block, even during off-hours. Go to Gardenia. Gov's Take: 2 stars One star for the sauces, one star for being open. That's the fairest I can be.
