I have been seeing Cava pop up on social media all the time and I was finally in the city to try it. Since it was 1pm, it was very very busy with a line out of the door. I ordered my food on the app and still had to wait an additional 15 minutes for my order so definitely order way ahead. I paid around $16 for a bowl that comes with a side of pita. I have included my order in one of the images. I really loved how juicy the chicken was and how all the toppings paired really well together. The fiery broccoli was also a delicious addition. In not sure what I added that was spicy but it was a bit too spicy for my taste. It was a very filling bowl and definitely on the healthier side; if I'm ever in the mood for a healthy, tasty bowl and in the city, I will come here again. read more

I live in CT and work in the city. I love the concept of a steak salad, but find the choices to be a bit mundane in CT and upstate NY. When in the city, I enjoy the choices. If you look at my salad, with choices like Tzatziki, Pickled Onions, salt-brined pickles, Skhug etc , that made the entire dish so enojoyable. i rly enjoy the cava kids meal because, for me, it's the perfect size for one meal, especially the pita option. you're able to pick one protein, a side of carrots or pita chips, and a grain, which makes it very customizable. i really love how flexible cava is with their options. i know that during lunchtime and dinner the lines can get pretty long, so i usually choose the pickup option. on this particular day, i only had to wait about five minutes for my order, which felt very reasonable given how busy it was. everyone was kind and accommodating, and the location itself was clean. overall, it met my expectations, and i would definitely recommend checking out this cava location. read more

Ordered from Cava, for the first time, and I was impressed. I ordered online, at around 9:30ish, for a an 11:15 AM pickup. When I walked into Cava, at exactly 11:15, there it was.... on the shelf and waiting for me. The Salad Bowl that I created was FRESH, not small at all, and there was enough tzatziki sauce to hug the entire salad, perfectly. I've seen the name around, but never had the chance to see it what it's all about! I was so missing out! It was lunch time in NYC, so there was a bit of a line. It was like chipotle or poke bowl kind of experience: base, protein, dressings, sides, etc. Since it was my first time there, I was overwhelmed and overloaded with varieties and options. I ended up making my own bowl since I literally had them dump everything on it lol. For my protein though, I had the Falafel and Harissa Chicken. Everything tastes great, but the falafel had a different texture than what I was used to. Seemed a bit more greasy and moist, well then, greasy = moist! Wish I did get a drink to go with it, looked like they had great lemonade options! The line went by really fast. They had a section that was dedicated for delivery and phone orders, while the other line for walk ins. The place looked really crammed at first glance, but come to think of it it wasn't. The falafel pita kids meal was pretty good. My only drawback is that I wish it included more falafel. Somehow, the pita chips were missing from the order. No biggie! This was my first time at Cava and I don't know what to make of my pick up order. On one hand, I really enjoyed the food especially the harissa and hot harissa vinaigrette but on the other hand the actual bowl was missing some of the items like the pita. I ordered a salad with super greens (which the difference between super greens & splindid greens is kale is in the super greens) chicken, tomato, cucumbers, cabbage slaw, Fresno peppers, olives, crumbled feta, avocado with yogurt dill & tahini ceasar dressing. Everything literally went together perfectly. There was some heat from the peppers, creamy from the avocado, & the dressing combination was perfect. I wish there was a Cava near my home! They also include a piece of pita which you can pick a dressing for it, if you like. I also had a root bear soda. Some places where you can get a big salad you'll end up spending over $20 just on the salad. I won't name any places, but let's just say it's not always all that "sweet". For this salad with the option to add on pretty much anything it's cost a little over $13 & if I didn't add avocado it would be a little over $10. Don't order online for pickup during peak lunch hours though, unless you're willing to wait 20 mins past the estimated time (which is already 45 mins out).
