We were in the area and were looking for a good gyro. I'm glad we came across this place. The gyros are huge and freshly made. The sauce was delicious, and my gyro was packed with lettuce and tomatoes. If you're in the area you should check this place out.

This is my second time coming to Turco and it continues to be a solid choice for Mediterranean wraps! They make their own bread in house and fresh, so it's always hot, fluffy, and delicious! I got the falafel wrap which comes with a bunch of toppings, hummus, and you can get it spicy. The falafel is so moist and delicious - one of the best I've had in a long time. The fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and are even better when you add pepper. Similarly, the mix gyro wrap is super solid and perfectly cooked! They give you a white sauce and a spicy sauce and both are flavorful and add a nice touch to the sandwiches. It tends to be a quick, relaxed eat, so perfect for a casual lunch. I think it's a mom and pop shop, so the service feels super homey and friendly. Overall, I will definitely continue to come here for a solid sandwich and service every time!

This place was a very hole in the wall area, and a hidden gem for sure. As soon as we walked in, the owners were so nice! The sandwich was such a steal. At 11 bucks, this sandwich was definitely filling and full of flavor. It came with 2 different sauces that my friends and I just kept dousing the sandwich in over and over. I would highly recommend trying any of the sandwhiches. I got the chicken Adana and it did not disappoint. It was great on its own and even better with the sauces. I will definitely be coming back during lunch.

For NYC, this place is affordable and serves generous portions. And it's more casual than sit-down formal. I went here twice while visiting the city and both times I was impressed with the quality and timeliness. I think some extra flavor would be helpful, but still a solid choice!

Really delicious, I enjoyed it quite a bit. I ordered the Lamb Shish Plate and it came hot and ready. The bread is divine.

One of my favorite Mediterranean places. Right in Hell's Kitchen so my go to place when seeing a show or just in Times Square. The homemade bread they serve is outrageous and one of my favorite breads I've ever had. The chicken is super flavorful and with their white sauce and red sauce it's a perfect meal. Got the lamb for the first time and it was tough. I will stick with the chicken next time. It is also quick so you can eat in 30 minutes and get out of there. Check this place out if in the area.

Fantastic flavors! The lamb chops were tender and seasoned perfectly. An all around great stop for a wonderful meal, with great and friendly service. This place is a keeper!

I would say amazing food and great service. It's a causal dining place with awesome and delicious food. Hummus is fresh and pita bread are freshly made. Warm and fluffy. Don't forget to have their yogurt which is amazing. I prefer original but my friend said with mango is also good. I would definitely go there again.

Chicken Adana and Lamb Adana Combination

Came back again and tried the gyro this time, but not a sammie. I had the combo rice platter with lamb gyro and chicken Adana. Both were really good and they really pile on the meats. They give you pita bread as well, which was fluffy and fresh. I dined in this time with 3 friends on a very rainy Tuesday at 6:30. There were actually quite a few tables dining but it seemed like the majority was takeout or delivery services. I think that's their main focus because our food took a while to come out. They also forgot my chicken Adana. I probably wouldn't do dine-in again, especially since the seating area kind of has a toilet smell (which is weird because the bathroom is actually pretty clean and pleasant smelling). But I would do takeout again if I'm in the area.

Food was fresh and wonderful. We looked everything we ordered. The bread was delicious and the mezze was large enough for 4.

Excellent fresh and generous portions. I would highly recommend. Had the mixed gyro platter with extra meat. It was stuffed with meat.

    Is there Outdoor seating?

No, there is only indoor seating. It's a narrow building with maybe 10-15 tables towards the back (past the service counter and cash register).

This is in a ritzy part of town on 60th St between Madison Ave & Park Ave with Ferraris & Bentleys parked on the street, so you have to guess that the storefront rent must be astronomical. But oh, these gastronomical sandwiches are off the charts and can justify the price. Once you decipher the names of the sandwiches on the menu and see what's between the bread, you will want to try all of them. I settled on 2 finalists, but decided get both anyway. All sandwiches are made fresh with some of the best looking meats & ingredients I've ever seen! And what's better is that they bake all the focaccia for the sandwiches fresh and in-house. You see the bread oven right behind the register. I wonder if I could buy a slab of that bread? The L'Inferno brought images of Danté Alighieri's version of the Underworld to mind, but was a spicy hot masterpiece of sandwich art. The combination of thinly sliced roasted porchetta, nduja, spicy grilled eggplant & arugula was fantastic! The fresh baked focaccia took it even further. But I did learn something new today besides Italian pronunciation, which was that nduja (silent n) is a spicy sausage from Calabrese that's spreadable like butter. I gotta get me some of that stuff! The La Paradiso sounds like the third installment of Danté's Divine Comedy trilogy, but is a very mild, but tasty sandwich with mortadella, stracciatella & crushed pistachios in pistachio cream. The pistachio cream is a stroke of culinary genius and gives the sandwich an amazingly smooth texture & taste. The only part of the Divine Comedy missing from their menu is La Purgatorio and I do not want to find out what would go into that sandwich!

I got the La Paradiso which comes with Mortadella, stracciatella, pistachio cream, pistachio. The bread was fantastic. I had seen a lot of reviews praising the General Tso's chicken, but I've honestly avoided the Chinese-American dish for years. Too often it's overly sweet with a heavy batter. Still, after seeing plate after plate come out to nearby tables, I decided to give it a try. What a surprise. It was a huge portion of fresh white meat chicken with a light coating and a perfectly balanced sauce, served piping hot. We couldn't finish it (knowing we had a big dinner later), but I kept going back for "just one more piece" more times than I'd like to admit. Reservations aren't accepted for parties of two, but in the late afternoon it wasn't busy at all, we walked right in with no wait. Would absolutely come back.

I have three big guys with me and sometimes quick lunches need to be more filling than fast food options, so we chose Alidoro's under Rockefeller Plaza. We could walk to it form the hotel and it was in the middle off all we wanted to show the boys on their first day (first time) in the city. We all chose different sandwiches and they were ready pretty fast. Since the shop itself is not huge, we landed a small space at the window bar with two stools and some standing room. After being in a car and on a flight and in another car all morning, we weren't mad about the standing part. We were all able to share and sample each sandwich, and honestly, we were not disappointed. We were all full and happy when we weren't finished, so what more could we want for a relatively quick NYC meal? Being under the plaza, the restrooms were outside the shop but very close by so we were able to wash hands and such before journeying out into the wild. I would definitely stop back by again on another trip! The guys and I all gave Alidoro's two thumbs up - so 8 thumbs total, if you're counting.
