I ordered in from Jersey Mikes as I wanted to try it out. I got turkey, provolone, onion, oregano, lettuce and tomatoes and some salt. I got a bag of lays BBQ chips. I do not think I have ever had such an oily sub in my life. The bread was super wet at the bottom and soggy. I could not eat the second half. I just felt like I was consuming oil. Maybe it's a bit better when you eat it at the place but it will be hard for me to want to try it again. I was looking forward to trying it since I have only heard good things about this place.

Very fresh and clean

Ugh so sad to report... had such high hopes! I've come back 2 other times after my initial review and all 3 times my order was wrong even though I was there in person. The last time I ordered a club and I got a turkey, roast beef and Swiss?? All 3 visits were not busy either. Idk what's up with the consistent inaccuracies here

First time, ever!, seeing a Jersey mike's... had to give it a try. This store is located on 52nd st, between Lex. and 3rd ave. Right across the st. from a competitor sammich place ;) On my first visit, I tried their Italian sub., regular sized, lettuce, tomatoes, fresh onions, banana peppers, oil and vinegar and made it a meal with the fountain soda and a bag o' chips. Grand total ~$18.50. On my 2nd try, I went for one of their hot sandwiches. I ordered their philly cheese steak "as it comes" (no additional fixings), also regular sized, didn't make it a meal. Cost, $13.01out the door. The process takes longer than most sandwich shops. I was greeted, both times, with very friendly, very polite staff, that even though were obviously busy, still did it all with a smile. Cold cuts are sliced to order (big plus btw); phase 2 is what slows down the whole process (clients choosing what they want on the sub.), they ring up your order and you're out the door. I absolutely loved the Italian sub. At first, I thought the sub would be soaked through and soggy with the amount of oil and vinegar they put in, but, no, it was just right. It all worked very well together. And having made it "a meal", it was borderline a bit much for me (I feel I am somewhat of a big eater... at least compared to my coworkers). The Philly, I must say I was a bit underwhelmed. It tasted OK, but I will be sticking to cold cut sandwiches from this chain. As a bit of unsolicited constructive criticism: perhaps at busier times they should have two staffers work the "final assembly" phase of the production line to speed this along. It was obvious that there was staff idling, waiting for the sandwiches to be wrapped up and sent to cash out.

It took them almost an hour to prepare a regular cold sub!! They don't give a flying F about your dietary considerations as my vegetarian sub was literally kept cozied up to a non veg sub touching everything! If you have any allergies, done ever go to a Jersey Mikes I guess if this is how they operate!

Super Sub in size regular is delicious and a decent price in pricey midtown.

Jersey Mike's has been added to my dining rotation. The ordering process is much smoother and I use their app to save time and earn "shore" loyalty points to get free food. I get wraps to be healthier. I would love it if they added more pescatarian options: lobster roll or shrimp salad?

This is in a ritzy part of town on 60th St between Madison Ave & Park Ave with Ferraris & Bentleys parked on the street, so you have to guess that the storefront rent must be astronomical. But oh, these gastronomical sandwiches are off the charts and can justify the price. Once you decipher the names of the sandwiches on the menu and see what's between the bread, you will want to try all of them. I settled on 2 finalists, but decided get both anyway. All sandwiches are made fresh with some of the best looking meats & ingredients I've ever seen! The L'Inferno brought images of Danté Alighieri's version of the Underworld to mind, but was a spicy hot masterpiece of sandwich art. The combination of thinly sliced roasted porchetta, nduja, spicy eggplant & arugula was fantastic! The fresh in-house baked focaccia took it even further. But I did learn something new today besides Italian pronunciation, which was that nduja (silent n) is a spicy sausage from Calabrese that's spreadable like butter. I gotta get me some of that stuff! The La Paradiso sounds like the third installment of Danté's Divine Comedy trilogy, but is a very mild, but tasty sandwich with mortadella, stracciatella & crushed pistachios in pistachio cream. The pistachio cream is a stroke of culinary genius and gives the sandwich an amazingly smooth texture & taste. The only part of the Divine Comedy missing from their menu is La Purgatorio and I do not want to find out what would go into that sandwich!

I got the La Paradiso which comes with Mortadella, stracciatella, pistachio cream, pistachio. The bread was fantastic. It was light, yet crispy and thin but thick enough that held everything together. The pistachio cream, cheese and meat ratio was just perfect. I honestly regret not downing 3 of these.

First time around we came in, got 2 Pinot Grecio for drinks, not bad wine goes well w the sandwiches. Sandwiches we tried, La Schiacciata del boss , soo good love the truffle cream next the La Goloza , such a great combo w the mortadella & pesto. Next time around we had La Toscana , another great sandwich w the salami, pecorino & truffle honey. & La paradiso very good as well with the mortadella, Stracciatella & pistachio cream. You gotta love the fresh ingredients & freshly baked focaccia it comes out pipping hot, that alone is mouth watering. Restaurant is small & can feel a bit cramped either while u wait or if u get lucky & get a seat. There's limited seating, quick service, price wise on the high side but the sandwiches are delicious , definitely worth a try this was a great find. But it turned out to be a fantastic meal and fully satisfied my endless craving for well-made soup dumplings. The scallion pancakes were excellent, too, crispy without being greasy and packed with scallions. I had seen a lot of reviews praising the General Tso's chicken, but I've honestly avoided the Chinese-American dish for years. Too often it's overly sweet with a heavy batter. Still, after seeing plate after plate come out to nearby tables, I decided to give it a try. What a surprise. It was a huge portion of fresh white meat chicken with a light coating and a perfectly balanced sauce, served piping hot. We couldn't finish it (knowing we had a big dinner later), but I kept going back for "just one more piece" more times than I'd like to admit. Reservations aren't accepted for parties of two, but in the late afternoon it wasn't busy at all, we walked right in with no wait. Would absolutely come back.

I have three big guys with me and sometimes quick lunches need to be more filling than fast food options, so we chose Alidoro's under Rockefeller Plaza. We could walk to it form the hotel and it was in the middle off all we wanted to show the boys on their first day (first time) in the city. We all chose different sandwiches and they were ready pretty fast. Since the shop itself is not huge, we landed a small space at the window bar with two stools and some standing room. After being in a car and on a flight and in another car all morning, we weren't mad about the standing part. We were all able to share and sample each sandwich, and honestly, we were not disappointed. We were all full and happy when we weren't finished, so what more could we want for a relatively quick NYC meal? Being under the plaza, the restrooms were outside the shop but very close by so we were able to wash hands and such before journeying out into the wild. I would definitely stop back by again on another trip! The guys and I all gave Alidoro's two thumbs up - so 8 thumbs total, if you're counting.
