I went to this location for the first time on a Wedneday afternoon and there was a bit of a line. I ordered a salad bowl with supergreens, brocolli, falafel, pickles, olives, cucumbers, and pickled onions with lemon tahini, crazy feta and eggplant dip. They were out of falafel by the time it was my turn in line, so I had to wait 15 minutes for a fresh batch. The food was pretty good! And the falafel was delicious, especially having been freshly made. They even gave me extra to apologize for the wait. My only complaint is that the side pita that came with the meal was stale and hard, which is why I deducted a star. Overall, it was a good meal! read more

I think it's a decent amount of food for the price. I like the different sauces and the chicken is very flavorful! I would prob order ahead of time because there does seem to be a line. I go to this Cava often, yesterday November 5 2025 where I'm greeted by an amazing cashier who got on the short line right before the lunch rush. After ordering food, I forgot to get a drink and almost walked out of the store. Go back to the cashier, and an employee named Diamond said hello to me. I said hello. I told her I forgot the drink. Diamond said the next time you will have to go to the back of the line and not skip! Lol, she almost got the best of me, but I said I just got food and forgot a drink. I showed her the bag in my hand. She repeated with her attitude. The cashier understood, but the gag is that the person behind me was still ordering toppings for his meal. To start, I'm not trying to hurt CAVA. I want them to improve. Cons - Food portions are small - Nice workers but NOT accommodating. All I wanted was hot veggies and chicken bowl but because those two items are at the same station, they wouldn't. I blame corporate for this, not the workers. - They put the avocado on before telling me it was extra. User error and forgivable. But being in NYC and everything being costly, please do better. - Almost zero English with some of the workers. I speak a little Spanish and think it's fine as a secondary language but given food allergy concerns, communication is a must. CAVA should offer a program to teach the basics relative to the job for these folk's so they have a fighting chance and the customers are getting what they ordered. i cannot lie, my food here is always good- but, everything else is often lacking. i placed an order for a timed pickup, and it said they were out of pita bread and chips (i wasn't there are the time and couldn't verify). i got there five minutes after my pickup time and asked for my order, and then waited while the cashier called for someone to make it, which i thought was crazy considering i had ordered it for a timed pickup (because i was in a rush). while i was waiting, i noticed that they had both pita bread and pita chips there, so their app was incorrect. I was annoyed, but also didn't feel like going on line to go buy them. another 5 minutes pass (now 10 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready!) and i notice my order sitting on the shelf behind the cashier! i apologize for bothering her again and ask her if i can have it, and she passes it to me without a word or even eye contact. the food here is great but the service is not the best- if you're in a rush, maybe not the best time to go! read more

Had a great hearty full bowl that I built. Braised lamb, which i didn't know cost $3 - I wish that was better advertised. I got all the toppings minus cucumbers. This is the worst CAVA I've ever been too. The pita and hummus chips were cold. My chicken shawarma wrap was cold to the point where I was tasting literally ice in my food. I was crunching on little bits of ice. The girl working the register was completely zoned out and missed multiple order notes which I just ignored out of being lazy and not feeling like dealing with it. I asked for a water cup and she charged me for a large drink - again, me being nice and just ignoring it because I was exhausted, running on fumes. She put some sort of spice on my pita that I didn't ask for that completely ruined it. I was willing to ignore how bad it was at first but it surpassed my low expectations and I trashed it about four bites in. Avoid this place like Chernobyl. read more

I'm a big fan of CAVA as it's healthy, but filling as well. This is basically Mediterranean bowl that you customize from the base to protein to toppings and sauces. You can customize your order easily, including requests for more or less of any ingredient. And their order and pickup system is very efficient. Upon visiting this Cava on 15/05/25, at 1430, I was a bit disappointed when 'Jenifer' told me she couldn't give me a military discount on my food. I eat a cover all the time and I always get a discount, but she refused and claimed that the discount was only for police and fire service members. Tried cava for the first time pretty recently. This location gets pretty busy especially with FIT right across the street. The food is fresh and the staff is kind and provides quick service. Not a ton of seating which isn't a huge problem since it seemed most people take their food to go. I appreciate that you are able to ask for more toppings without being charged. Would like to give this place a little credit for opening up a restaurant during very hard times. This was previously a deli/food spot that was very elaborate and successful. It shuttered during covid because it could not sustain without the crowds and business that came during pre-pandemic times. For another business to take over this location in the current state of affairs, speaks volumes in audacity and commitment. Therefore, it does deserve SOME credit in terms of their operations and a drive to become a business for the neighborhood. (In addition, staff shortage is a reoccurring matter across the US at this time, so please be forgiving.) This is a fast fine dining place, that resembles chipotle and subway assembly type of cuisine. There are already several locations in Manhattan, which has done very well. This restaurant stands out in that it offers healthier options, open and bright decor that creates a sense of a modern flair, and an intent to cater to a diverse crowd. During their grand opening, this spot offered free lunch to allow for an opportunity for customers to try. That is not an easy feat, considering the expenses they were willing to invest in. The line for free lunch seemed endless. During my visits here, I did pay for the food. Lunch time is busy but the line does move. The price point is on the high side, similar to the fast/casual fine dining theme-like restaurants. In terms of the food, it was all very solid. Customer service was on point and ultimately, the overall points that mentioned above should all be considered as a whole. My only sort of complaint was that the portions were a bit on the small side, even though the menu indicated that you can choose as many toppings. read more

I had an issue with one of your employees regarding my order today. I asked for a bowl with chicken and falafel, but they added two portions of chicken along with the falafel. When I explained that I hadn't ordered the extra chicken, they insisted I pay for it and made me feel as though I was in the wrong. However, this was clearly a misunderstanding on their part. Suggestion to the crew: when there's a mistake, it's important not to make the customer feel at fault. Just own it and correct it. Additionally, I've noticed that this location pushes orders ahead and ask what you want while you're still way behind other people, which leads to having to shout your response and not being able to see the options that they are asking you about. You really need to wait for customers to reach each station directly, so orders are more clearly understood. That's probably why you misunderstood what I was ordering. This happens almost every time I'm there and I have not experienced it at any other location or any other build your own bowl restaurant. Lesson learned on my part--I'll be ordering online from now on to avoid these issues. read more

I recently changed jobs and found this place online. It a short distance from the job. The overall decor is like your typical salad bar. The service was nice. There was a mixup with the order and the staff got it sorted right away and also offered me a small well drink for the trouble. Sadly the salad left much to be desired. If it's your first time and you go during rush hour, you might be overwhelmed. The workers try to speed up the line, however the choice list for your meal is posted on a glass in front of the person who is in front of you. I had to tell the worker that I couldn't see the topping and had to wait for the person in front of me to move up. In terms of food, the service size is average and the quality fresh. Due to the overwhelming and lack of visibility of the list, I created a custom bowl and wasn't sure what it was, but it tasted great. Cava does nail down their seasoning, if I go back I would try one of their signature bowls or go during a non-busy time. I do wish they added a bit more protein. read more

Just simply creating a bowl is like pulling teeth for each ingredient you ask for...like yo, I shouldn't be nervous asking for some corn and red onion on my bowl. I was inappropriately shoved by an employee. I was on the checkout line, on the phone, when an employee, taking out the trash pushed me aside. I put down my phone, asked him for an apology and after revealing he was the manager, refused to serve me. Other employees have served me a Cava bowl before, and I've never had an issue here or anywhere really. Attitude of the manager was unprofessional and deserves being called out. read more
