Chicken entree
Ava L.

Ordered two chicken entrees. Food was good, just not the price. The pics of the menu are outdated, nothing on the website either. Paid over $60 for two entrees and the portions don't match the price. Not given any flatware or napkins. Forgot to ask, but should be given with to go orders. The staff were super friendly, lady behind the counter may be the owner. Place is very decorated and dark, feels very worldly.

Underwhelming and overpriced, I will not be returning to Turkish Cuisine under any circumstance. The staff was incredibly pushy from before we even entered the building, coming outside to pressure us into eating while we were reading the menu. We ordered the hummus, which was bland and tiny, and then also the vegetable sauté, which was also bland and incredibly lackluster. Both items were grossly overpriced and left us feeling hungry and frustrated.

Fantastic service!! And really good food!! This is authentic Turkish food and it was tasty! We ordered the lamb chops and ravioli. The lamb chomps were cooked good, the meat was seasoned well. The sauce the ravioli was in was very tasty. I also loved their pita bread. The place is well decorated and the music is nice and calm. Great place!!!

Lamb chops

Everything was great, service, ambiance and the food. We had the lentil soup and lamb chops.

First time that I tried Turkish food and I was surprised how delicious it was!!! Started with a salad that the server recommended and a fresh lemonade, we had the avocado hummus with pita bread and for the main course I don't remember the name but was amazing!!! Explosion of new flavors and I will definitely come back, the decor is also authentic and I couldn't stop looking at every detail. The server did a good job explaining and suggesting the food on the menu, thank you! Be back soon.

We were persuaded to come in by the extremely sweet owner! And we did not regret it! Our server was also extremely helpful. They also gave us free Turkish tea on the house!! The food was filling and decent portions for NY prices. The ambiance was dark with Turkish music (?), and there a lot of close-up black & white portraits/National Geographic looking photos. Some comments from friends: "Staff was warm, food could be warmer! I would come back though for sure" "French fries were insane. Dumplings (Manti) could use a bit more meat." "Good variety of food, and fan of the sour-ish flavor of the eggplant! "

The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. The waitress came over and offered us some traditional dish samples "on the house".

Food is not good, very old, small portion to the price. Staff were sitting close by to watch us eat! Unfortunate experience.

Yes. I remember showing my card. As mandates change I recommend calling first to ask if it's currently needed.

So thoughtful, and such a great touch to start the evening for us. We decided to order the family style menu and we enjoyed the whole dinner. All of the dishes on the menu were really good and great price for $74pp. I wish we had a 4th in our party so we couldve had the duck, but we'll definitely be returning to do so. The dips were so good and so fresh! I think all of the dishes were perfectly seasoned. I get sad when dishes are overly seasoned or overly salty. Oh, and im not much of a sweet tooth, but their dessert was marvelous and the sweetness was balanced so nicely.

Walking in, it's a stunning restaurant and on this night, not too crowded which made us wonder why they would seat us next to the servers station away from dozens of much nicer tables. Note that I booked through Open Table where I have Gold status which I thought meant you get a better table. Next fail, we wanted to start with a Mediterranean dip, but they only offer that if you go with a $39 tray with multiple dips. Not something a party of two would be able to east, so we skipped apps altogether. Sucks too, because several tables had it and it liked amazing, just too much for two. For dinner I had the Yemeni Au Police Kebab, Filet Mignon which was absolutely delicious. The peppercorn Hawaii really sweetened the meat's flavor. So high marks for the steak. My wife had two small dishes which she wasn't as thrilled with, Grilled Artichokes which were too dry for her liking and Manti, which she liked. Main takeaways. Very pricey, beautiful atmosphere (if you get a nice table) and maybe a place that's better for a group than a couple.

There was a short wait, but from what I could see, a variety of tables here and seating. Not the biggest place, dark, intimate, wood accents and small spotlights over tables. We ordered buns and spicy edamame to start. It seemed like we had just ordered when the food came out. Love that. Buns were incredibly good - a close second to a joint in Chicago we ate at last weekend. Succulent meat, plenty of sauce, and just the usual pillowy bun. The edamame didn't seem spicy at first - then my face melted. Still good but a deep burning spiciness to them as advertised. For my entree I got the beef miso ramen, adding corn and an egg. The corn wasn't just a pile of kernels - but a side slice of a cob. Cool presentation. Beef was good and the broth soothed my soul. Top 10 ramen places I've been - well done.

We tried the spicy shrimp (coconut based broth), spicy tonkatsu, and salmon miso ramen. The tonkatsu and salmon were both cooked well - tender and moist. Ramen noodles were thin and well cooked - more al dente. We also tried the karaage which had a thick crispy batter and a sweet glaze, with an optional spicy side sauce for dipping. They had a variety of sake and beer options. The inside is small but turnaround is fairly quick. Lots of two seaters and a large table that we were able to snag after just a few minutes of waiting. There was also bar seating. Pretty dark inside to add to the ambiance for a quick date or catch up with friends. Checked in to the waitlist via Resy because we didn't have a reservation, and it was a short wait. Service was prompt.

It's an absolute unit of a sandwich. Replacing pickles and mayo with red onion and mint chutney? Mental. Chef is a straight-up genius for that one. Grabbed the mini samosas on the side and washed the fire down with a Thums Up. That soda hits way harder than a Coke--sharp, spicy, and high voltage. Shoutout to Eric for holding it down and helping me navigate the spice. The art is sick and the vibes are high. If you're tired of the same old bird, come get punched in the face with some actual flavor. This isn't just lunch; it's a heavyweight bout.

At first I was impressed with all the flavors of the sandwich; however about halfway through, it became very soggy from all the sauces. I ended up ditching the bread by the very end and eating the chicken with my hands. I also wasn't a fan of the fries. They were overdone. The texture and taste was almost like they had been cooked previously, then refried again to make my order. The meal was just 3 stars for me. That being said, it's a unique concept and quite a few of their menu options looked good! Maybe I just ate there on an off day...

I get the chicken and gyro mix with spicy rice. Rice is not spicy don't worry. Also their chicken is like marinated unlike some other halal carts. I get all sauces except bbq. The gf does all the sauces except red sauce cause that one IS spicy One time they accidentally put fries on my plate but now it's a non negotiable for me. Ask for it on the side if you don't want it to get soggy. If I'm feeling extra big back I throw some falafel on that shi too. If you wanna skip the line, just order on Grubhub. It's more expensive yes but worth it if you're not tryna wait an hour

The line literally tells you everything... waiting an hour at like 1 AM for halal food sounds insane until you try it. The meat was SO good bro I still can't stop thinking about it. Biggest hack: get the white sauce on the side and add extra meat. They absolutely drown it in sauce if you don't, and the sauce gets kinda heavy after awhile. On the side is perfect. I genuinely need to go back already lol
