The gravy is watery without that overly gelatinous consistency and a little less savoriness than usual. That sweet spaghetti is not terrible. The macaroni and cheese is a pass. Mashed potatoes seem reconstituted...not good. The pies are similar to other fast food restaurants...terrible. The Ube flavor is unique. The Cole Slaw tastes fresh. Fried chicken is the best assuming you don't have to wait for it. The past two times I used the GrubHub app for pick up and each time trying to get the order has been chaotic Yesterday I had to wait 20 minutes to get anyone to even speak with me and the order was sitting there. Very disorganized and people working there didn't really seem to know what was going on. Also, by the time I got my food, it was cold and soggy. You guys should work on a better pick up process. I've eaten at the Times Square location twice back in 2018 and 2019 and the Roosevelt location once back in 2024. I absolutely love the Times Square location, I got the spicy chicken and it was crispy, juicy, and had just the right amount of spice. I honestly thought that Jollibee was one of the best fried chicken spots I've ever had in my life. If you get the gravy, I highly suggest dipping the chicken in there for extra flavor. Their pineapple quencher was too sweet though and so was the peach mango pie. And then, a few years later, I tried the Jollibee in Roosevelt, Queens and I don't know if it's because my taste buds have changed or if the location was different, but the chicken didn't hit the same as before. I was disappointed because I was looking forward to eating at my favorite fried chicken spot again. I understand that they were busy though but the chicken just wasn't that flavorful. However, I got their ube pie and OH MY GOD THAT WAS AMAZING!!! Honestly, one of the best things I've ever eaten, I thought I was in heaven after my first bite lol. Jollibee is my favorite fried chicken! The chicken is moist, crispy, and flavorful, and the spicy version is actually somewhat spicy compared to say Popeyes or KFC. It blows other fried chicken out of the water. It's a Filipino chain that's now expanding into more cities in the US. There are two in Manhattan, with another one set to open in Grand Central this summer. The quality of the chicken here can be inconsistent - sometimes it's a bit dry, or the meat bland/under-seasoned, but when it's cooked as it's meant to be and comes out piping hot, it's the best! Some of the sides are distinctly Filipino style, like the Jolly spaghetti (yes the sauce is supposed to be sweet), palabok fiesta, and the aromatic adobo rice, so embrace them as they are. The candy sweet pineapple quencher will tickle the limbic senses of childhood nostalgia. And while I have not tried the pies, I am intrigued by the ube and peach-mango fillings. The wait can be a little long during lunch & dinner hours (which I try to avoid), but nothing like the endurance sport of waiting on line at the Jollibee location inside the American Dream mall in East Rutherford NJ. read more

It's a few years since I've been able to return to the Philippines, and I remember being excited when the first Jollibee opened in NYC, in 2009, to huge lines, and yes it took me 15 years to finally have a chance to eat at one, but it is the best fried chicken out of any chain that I've tried, and the flavors of the spaghetti instantly took me back to Manila. I was told I HAD to try this place, so I did. I could tell that the food would be really good had I not gotten partly raw chicken leg and thigh and mango peach pie with raw, gooey dough on the inside that's still stuck to my teeth. The outer pie crust was so light and crispy and delicious. The pie filling was delicious but very runny and running out of the pie, thinner than the gravy they have. Friendly and quick service. Jollibee is one of my go tos for fried chicken, especially because I love drumsticks. I didn't discover it until recently and I realized I was missing out on a lot! Seasoned, crispy and juicy chicken paired well with mashed potato gravy. Fries were warm and crunchy but could do without. Spaghetti sauce was too sweet, wasn't a fan. Peach mango pie and ube pie were a hit, just happened to be a lil more hollow than I expected. Lychee Iced Tea and Dragon Fruit Sunset were refreshing (actual small chunks of dragon fruit were used). This was my first time at Jollibee after raving reviews from friends who have them in the home countries and I am so grateful that it did not disappoint. Starting with the food: YUM. I got mild fried chicken and it was large and crispy. I liked the inclusion of the sauce which I used every now and again to switch up the flavor so it didn't become so monotonous. Great addition! The spaghetti. God knows I'm still thinking about it. I was, understandably, worried about getting spaghetti from a fast food fried chicken joint, but it was the best decision I could've made. Absolutely delicious. But be warned that it does contain sausage and that could be pork, so verify that if that's something you don't eat. My least favorite part was the pineapple juice. Too watery. The service could've been better. Could've been faster in terms of giving you the food after ordering. The staff in charge of that seemed very confused at times. I get to the front and order my food no issue and the sitting there waiting for 20 minutes and then a guy calls me over and he is now saying they are waiting on tenders. So, finally after almost 30 minutes the tenders come out, and then I realized, the drink they gave me was the drink they made like 25 minutes ago while they were waiting for my tenders to come out. As a Filipino American, I'm duty-bound to report that this location brings all the classic Jollibee flavors, which may be all you need to hear. But for a fast food chain, the staff seems totally lacking in urgency. There was only one register open when we arrived at 1 PM on a Saturday, and it took us 8 minutes to get to the front of the 6-person line. Then it took another 10 for us to receive our food. There also isn't enough seating in here. Patrons had moved all the chairs around to accommodate their variously sized parties, which isn't ideal; at least two of the tables I considered only had one seat apiece. I went rummaging for another chair and was rebuffed by patrons who were holding them for companions who were waiting at the handoff plane. I considered standing at the shelf at the entrance, but that's no way to eat messy food, and anyway abandoned trays of food wrappers still needed to be cleared away. Finally, the menu is real confusing. A 3-piece chicken tenders costs less than 50% of a 6-piece chicken tenders. A side portion of spaghetti is listed on the menu, for $4, but the entree size, which costs $6, isn't listed. read more

Honestly, Jollibee is my FAVORITE fried chicken chain, ever! Their chicken is super crispy and the meat is so juicy. This is the only spicy fried chicken that is actually SPICY. There's this spicy kick to ever bite. Every time I'm in New York , I must get Jollibee or I'll go back home regretting it. LOL My usual order is the 2pc with 2 sides. My sides would be adobo rice and of course, their spaghetti. The spaghetti is not the American version. They use their Filipino ketchup, Jufran. It could be sweet for some, but for me, it's perfect haha. The adobo rice have these little minced beef in it. Super flavorful. TIP - always dip your fried chicken in their gravy. For dessert a must try pie with flavors or banana & langka or mango & peaches. Warm gooey inside with a crispy shell that is reminiscent of the McDonald's apple pie. Customer service excellence depends on which location you go to. I would rather go out of my way for this NYC Jollibee rather than return to the Jollibee I pass everyday at JSQ in Jersey City. Apparently, we come to dine-in at this jolibee before or after watching a Broadway show. And this is the only Jolibee location that we have visited at the moment. This Jolibee was usually busy during the times that we have visited (i.e around 5pm/6pm). We have waited between 15-30 minutes to get our food here and it was a bit annoying since this is a fast food restaurant. Nevertheless, we haven't been disappointed with their fried chicken and the fried chicken was always juicy and delicious every time. We also like their Jolly Spaghetti. But, we didn't like their chicken tenders and i recalled that it was a bit dry. Seats seems to be limited. Luckily, we were able to get seats every time that we dined here. Wow, wow, WOW. Or shall I say wowowee. When I heard Jolibee opened in Times Square I knew I had to support. This place stayed true to its core, and I'm so happy it did. Came through Sunday afternoon and ordered the chicken joy with jolly spaghetti meal and aloha burger a La carte. Also ordered the mango peach pie and the coconut pineapple pie. I've always wanted to try Jollibee's fried chicken and finally had a chance in NYC. Friends and I came about 9:30 pm on Friday night. I had already eaten dinner, but they hadn't and we wanted some fast food, Filipino-style. While there was a short counter line, we were warned by the cashier that there was a 30-minute wait for fried chicken! That seemed so odd when it wasn't overly crowded. FAST food and we ended up waiting 40 minutes. I ordered 1 spicy "Chickenjoy" drumstick which cost $2.79. That's pretty expensive for one small drumstick, but it came with a small tub of gravy. The gravy (which reminded me of tasty Swanson's TV dinner gravy from when I was a kid) made it different from any other fried chicken I've ever had. Pretty good tasting chicken with crispy skin and a homey throwback with the gravy...but not worth waiting 40 minutes. I also noted staff did not clean or wipe tables between customers. Even for a fast food restaurant, that's kind of unsanitary and left us with sticky, messy tables. I hope they correct that oversight. read more
