Kobe is truly the best! We absolutely love both the sushi and hibachi and the service is unmatched. We continue to come back because we have never had a bad or even subpar experience!

Hole-in-the-wall alert! So in a town (like so many towns) full of chain restaurants, I was delighted to stumble upon this gem. Like the Dr. Who phone box .... It's bigger on the inside. The full bar which you run into upon entering threw me off. I thought I walked into my neighborhood bar. When your eyes get used to the dark, you'll see that the sushi bar in the back and a happy hibachi on the other side of the wall. I didn't order the hibachi but it was the reason why I decided to go to this place. The hibachi menu is extensive and you can order from it...without the show.

My sister and I both agreed that this was some of the best hibachi we've had! We came in at 8:30pm on a Saturday night and the place was packed. We didn't have reservations but we got lucky and there were 2 empty seats at a table. They quickly took our orders and the chef was out in minutes. He was hilarious and had lots of hibachi tricks (as expected). I got the filet mignon and shrimp combo dinner. It came with the usual soup and salad, both were delicious. The entrees were huge, and not only did they come with fried rice and veggies but also fried noodles. Sooo much food and it was all soooo good. The steak was perfectly tender and the shrimp had a nice char to it. I can't wait to come back!

This is by far the best sushi spot in Rochester. The service is phenonimal, sushi fresh, never a wait but always busy and they also have hibachi! What I like most about Kobe though is their variety and uniqueness of rolls. Which this is impossible to find anywhere else really in rochester that's actually tastey and delicious. I recommend the central park, Dynamite roll and my favorite the empire roll...however you can't go wrong with anything off the menu Also saki bombs are allowed here ... A fun game it even says on the menu

Love the sushi here! A little pricey but worth it. The tuna dumplings and the shrimp shumai are a must when ordering!

Today we couldn't decide on where to go for dinner and both agreed to come back here. I ordered the vegetable hibachi and a California roll and my fiancé ordered the tofu and sweet potato roll. The hibachi typically comes with an onion broth soup, however the server noticed we were ordering mainly veggies and subbed for miso soup as the other soup is made with beef broth. My fiancé and I were both so surprised that they would pick up on a customer's dietary preferences. This shows how caring and attentive they are- I couldn't ask for better customer service. I really wish we lived closer, but will definitely return if we are ever back in the area! This is the type of place you just want to keep coming back to!

We had a great server who unfortunately I cannot remember their name to shout out, but we got some delicious cuts of meat, veggies, and bao buns. As well as a heaping portion of white rice. I saw many people having Boba with their meals, and I almost ordered some, but I just couldn't figure out how they were able to drink Boba on top of eating all they can eat Korean barbecue. The side dishes that came with the meal were also delicious and I love that they gave you a mochi ice cream at the end. Overall, this one's a wonderful all you can experience and I would definitely come back again in the future.

Only one kind of marinade available for these meats and it's way too sweet. Not good quality meat. Most of it sticks together and you cannot grill properly. The grill plate has parchment paper...there is a side with a more Japanese style grill but this one doesn't heat up enough. Sides are not good at all and rice was very dry. If you really really are craving kbbq and are stuck in Rochester, maybe go for a visit? Sadly you will be disappointed either way.

To be honest, we didn't have high hopes for a burger at a sushi place, but I would have been jealous had my sushi not been incredible. The burger had the perfect char and was medium rare to order. The special sauce was great. This sushi place has a lot of creative options I haven't seen elsewhere. I had the O-ren and the tuna una - both fantastic. I wish some of the other choices didn't have cucumber but I would have had a hard time narrowing my choices down otherwise. The bartender was new but he made my husband the best old fashioneds he's had in awhile. Very smooth. I had a refreshing lavender lemon bubbly gin based cocktail and a glass of plum wine with my sushi. Service is great. The restaurant is cozy. It rivals some of our best sushi places in Buffalo. I wish we had it here.

It's a funky little restaurant in the South Wedge - with a nice atmosphere and cozy set up. There is a bar there too that some people were sitting at, but we sat at a table. I ordered an IPA of course. And my wife had water. The menu looked great with Japanese specialties and different sushi offerings. They also had a small card on the table with specials where you could order two or three types of sushi and get salad or soup with it. My wife had the two types of sushi and I had the three. But I ended up bringing some home so two would've been enough for me. We ordered steamed dumplings with pork in them for an appetizer, and they were excellent, with a great sauce that I kept to use for my sushi. The sushi was very good too. I had eel, tuna, and salmon as my three types of sushi. All fantastic! We decided to order the Mochi for dessert. I misunderstood and thought it was some type of ice cream, but it was really like a rice thing that I wasn't too keen on, but that's just me. So overall, I would rate the service great, the atmosphere also great. The appetizer and sushi were fantastic too. The salad and dessert were so so in my eyes, but I don't go out for that. I go out for the sushi and therefore I'm giving it five stars for what I go out for. We'll be back to check it out again.
