Kobe is truly the best! We absolutely love both the sushi and hibachi and the service is unmatched. We continue to come back because we have never had a bad or even subpar experience!

Hole-in-the-wall alert! So in a town (like so many towns) full of chain restaurants, I was delighted to stumble upon this gem. Like the Dr. Who phone box .... It's bigger on the inside. The full bar which you run into upon entering threw me off. I thought I walked into my neighborhood bar. When your eyes get used to the dark, you'll see that the sushi bar in the back and a happy hibachi on the other side of the wall. I didn't order the hibachi but it was the reason why I decided to go to this place. The hibachi menu is extensive and you can order from it...without the show.

Small starter salad with hibachi combo, loved the dressing

My sister and I both agreed that this was some of the best hibachi we've had! We came in at 8:30pm on a Saturday night and the place was packed. We didn't have reservations but we got lucky and there were 2 empty seats at a table. They quickly took our orders and the chef was out in minutes. He was hilarious and had lots of hibachi tricks (as expected). I got the filet mignon and shrimp combo dinner. It came with the usual soup and salad, both were delicious. The entrees were huge, and not only did they come with fried rice and veggies but also fried noodles. Sooo much food and it was all soooo good. The steak was perfectly tender and the shrimp had a nice char to it. I can't wait to come back!

This is by far the best sushi spot in Rochester. The service is phenonimal, sushi fresh, never a wait but always busy and they also have hibachi! What I like most about Kobe though is their variety and uniqueness of rolls. Which this is impossible to find anywhere else really in rochester that's actually tastey and delicious. I recommend the central park, Dynamite roll and my favorite the empire roll...however you can't go wrong with anything off the menu Also saki bombs are allowed here ... A fun game it even says on the menu

Love the sushi here! A little pricey but worth it. The tuna dumplings and the shrimp shumai are a must when ordering!

Eventually we found out there was only one waitstaff member and the manager was actually cooking on the line, which explains the delay, but none of this was communicated clearly at first. I feel bad for the employees because they were obviously overwhelmed and understaffed, but as a customer it was frustrating and confusing. An empty dining room with a long wait time doesn't make sense unless someone explains what's going on. Hopefully management can improve staffing and communication because tonight did not feel organized or welcoming. Sadly, after this experience, I don't think we'll be returning.

It was small and intimate, perfect for date night! We ordered the steak flatbread for an appetizer to split - honestly, the best dish of the night! It's deconstructed, with flat bread pieces, steak on the side, whipped ricotta and onions on the side. We built it up, and it was soooooo good. Highly recommend! My main course was the gnochhi in red sauce with grilled chicken. It was flavorful, well seasoned. My husband had the special - a porkchop. It was very tender and well seasoned as well. Drinks were very good. It was fun to watch the bartenders and people watch. Can't wait to come back again! Service was pretty good as well.
