My Spouse and I went there on 2/17/18. This was our first time there on a recommendation. The whole experience there was a terrible disappointment. We had a 7pm reservation and had to wait almost 30 minutes to be seated. The Chef was awful!! He scolded my spouse and another person at the table on proper placement of the dish. He then brought it up several times thru out the dinner. My spouse was not pleased nor the other person at the table. He also didn't put out dipping sauces until halfway thru the meal. He had to asked twice for Ginger sauce. He did not use pepper on the food and use way too much salt. No flavor to the rice and skimped on the veggies. He burnt the chicken and overcooked the steak also shrimp. A patron at our table went to the Management and complained. We had an apology from our waitress and informed that we all with receive 20% off our meals. The place is too small and you are crammed in there. There is not a decent waiting area. You are pushed right in with the bar patrons. Very busy place and very loud/crowded. Overpriced for the lack of quality and presentation. read more

Ghetto, atmosphere was very unwelcoming, bartender was rude and drunk, very unprofessional. My family and i Waited 2 hours to get seated. After 2 hours and being told that they didn't care how long we waited we wound up leaving. We've eaten there before and wasn't thrilled but always try to give small businesses our support. The food was good but the service spoiled the meal. We were charged dinner prices even though we ordered at noon. The menu was very unprofessional with numerous errors including a dessert menu that you couldn't order from. There are better places to eat in Rochester, don't waste your time and money here. read more

Showed up at 5 and the restaurant was not yet busy. My girlfriend tried to ask for a table and we were very rudely told by the first hostess that they were booked with reservations till 8. As my girlfriend and I were trying to decide what we wanted to do the rude hostess turns to us says "So are taking a table or what?" I said hang on one second were talking about it. Not many options for goood sushi in Greece but this place is! They also have hibachi and the chefs are so funny. Be ready for the sake shots to be squirted in your mouth! Make sure you call ahead and make reservations, they're always packed at dinner time. Try the Lychee Martini, too! read more

My experience was horrendous at Kobe. As soon as we were seated the waitress immediately took our orders without anytime for us to review the menus. When the chef arrived he started rushing cooking extremely fast and I told him he didn't need to rush and he said he was told to as there were other tables waiting. The food was not fully cooked including the rice as they were going to fast. The rice was not even mixed lots of white rice still showing and semi warm. We had just been served and they brought us to go boxes as we were all still eating when I had said we were still eating they said they needed us to move to the dining room as they needed the table in a very disrespectful manner. All of us were still eating as we literally had just gotten our food. I have never felt more unwanted as a patron in a restaurant in my entire left and I will never go back there again, we were on time for our reservations so not sure why we were being asked to move into the dining room when we had just been served. Awesome sushi! Place is beautiful. They had a special roll called angry dragon that they lit on fire to cook the beef it was pretty awesome. Very clean, prices were pretty good for lunch 3 full rolls for $11.50 included soup or salad. Will be goin back! read more

The two times I have been here with friends, we all enjoyed our meal. The hibachi chefs are fun and friendly and the steak was delicious!!!! I also enjoyed the sushi which was fresh and generous pieces. Would definetly go back again. It is not a place for a quiet dinner, but if you go with a group or if you like to meet people, this is a wonderful place. read more

Took my wife there to celebrate Valentine's Day weekend. The food was great and the prices were reasonable. The chefs, in true hibachi fashion, did their best to keep us entertained while our food was prepared. The ONLY and I do mean ONLY gripe was that it was pretty cramped for seating. That's it. This is the first and only time I have gone out of my way to write a bad review. As a foodie, and someone who frequents restaurants of all types, this was undoubtedly the worst experience I've had. They are ridiculously unorganized, are clueless to reservations and seating customers in a timely manner and the bartender is amongst the most unprofessional and worst bartenders I've encountered. Aside from the fact that she was taking shots behind the bar and clearly intoxicated, she was very rude. When I approached her about an hour and a half wait that was estimated to be only an hour, the bartender (and hostess?) response was crude; "I don't care." The crowd it draws matches the service, very inappropriate and unmannerly. If you're looking for a classy, fun hibachi experience, with good food, this is not the place. I would not recommend it to anyone under any circumstance. If you do want a good hibachi restaurant try SUMO or Sakura. Do not waste your time on their less than mediocre food and unclean environment and downright disgusting customer service. read more

Terrible experience. I made 6:30pm reservations for my friends going away party. When we arrived we were ignored and waited 20 minutes to be seated (with an open table) even though we had a reservation. When seated it took forever to get our drinks and a server to come. We ordered our drinks (3 alcoholic beverages). The server came back and asked 2 of us to show ID again. We both gave them valid ID's and they refused to sell us alcohol for no reason. We waited 45 minutes just to have nothing. There was only 1 chef on, the area was small and you could barely hear your friend next to you with the music. The staff was eyeballing us the whole time making us all feel weird and uncomfortable. We got up and left, and went to another hibachi place. We were seated immediately and started on our soup and salad within 10 minutes. If you want to wait 45 minutes for a service just to be denied, this is the place to go! read more

Food is good, however, they rush you to get out. This has happened more than once. Right after all food is plated, the owner immediately came over with to go boxes. We were then approached by 4 more different employees while we were eating if there was anything else, which was also a hint for us to hurry and leave. They did not hesitate to give a second drink when requested, though. The check was sent while we were still eating. I picked up the tab for the table which was over $200 and as soon as it was paid, we were told to go to bar. At this point, one of my guests said to manager and owner, who were together at the time, that if she wanted fast food, we would have gone to that type of restaurant. Their response to my guest was not to come back. Our whole dining experience was 45 minutes. They made our dinner uncomfortable with their constant hovering. They should consider moving the hibachi to a bigger location if they cannot accommodate a large party, rather than rush you out while you are trying to enjoy a meal. read more

Visited on 2/13/2015 for a big party of 16. We had reservations a few weeks in advance. We waited for almost an hour after our reservation to even be told that we wouldn't even be sitting soon. Only 3 extra chairs to sit on and very small space to wait. The atmosphere of those eating seemed positive as all we heard was screaming, and we saw kids at the bar getting some non alcohol drinks. When someone in our party asked the manager why they even took our reservation to then just make us wait the manager began to tell him to shut up. Called a few others in our party bitches, meanwhile in front of children. I was very disappointed in the hostess' as well for seeing us all standing there for such a long time and now even offering for us to see a menu or something. We stored a cake in the back and when we said we would go somewhere else and we wanted the cake, the manager was still very very rude. I will make sure people know how terrible the manager is. read more
