Kobe is truly the best! We absolutely love both the sushi and hibachi and the service is unmatched. We continue to come back because we have never had a bad or even subpar experience!

Hole-in-the-wall alert! So in a town (like so many towns) full of chain restaurants, I was delighted to stumble upon this gem. Like the Dr. Who phone box .... It's bigger on the inside. The full bar which you run into upon entering threw me off. I thought I walked into my neighborhood bar. When your eyes get used to the dark, you'll see that the sushi bar in the back and a happy hibachi on the other side of the wall. I didn't order the hibachi but it was the reason why I decided to go to this place. The hibachi menu is extensive and you can order from it...without the show.

Small starter salad with hibachi combo, loved the dressing

My sister and I both agreed that this was some of the best hibachi we've had! We came in at 8:30pm on a Saturday night and the place was packed. We didn't have reservations but we got lucky and there were 2 empty seats at a table. They quickly took our orders and the chef was out in minutes. He was hilarious and had lots of hibachi tricks (as expected). I got the filet mignon and shrimp combo dinner. It came with the usual soup and salad, both were delicious. The entrees were huge, and not only did they come with fried rice and veggies but also fried noodles. Sooo much food and it was all soooo good. The steak was perfectly tender and the shrimp had a nice char to it. I can't wait to come back!

This is by far the best sushi spot in Rochester. The service is phenonimal, sushi fresh, never a wait but always busy and they also have hibachi! What I like most about Kobe though is their variety and uniqueness of rolls. Which this is impossible to find anywhere else really in rochester that's actually tastey and delicious. I recommend the central park, Dynamite roll and my favorite the empire roll...however you can't go wrong with anything off the menu Also saki bombs are allowed here ... A fun game it even says on the menu

The Roadhouse can be pretty busy, so using the app to know when you can be seated is a game changer. For the four of us, it was a little over a hundred dollars. We had 3 baskets of rolls ( 1 was to go), peanuts, two country fried chickens, ribs, country fried sirloin, salmon, 3 chilis, and a caesar salad. Plus whatever extra side each meal had. That's a lot of food for that price. Everything was delicious and the server was very attentive. I honestly don't think i've ever had a bad experience. The rolls are hot and delicious. I'm not sold on the cinnamon butter so they give us regular butter as well with a smile. I absolutely love that I can get a salad or the chili as a side without an upcharge! I also love that their wine and other alcoholic drinks are reasonably priced. My husband is always happy with his meal- usually steak- and we always have leftovers. Great busy environment but a fun place! Will keep on the rotation.

The hostess found us, as promised, at the bar after only a short wait. If you are rushed for dinner or just plain impatient then go to a fast food joint. Expect a leisurely meal here and you won't be disappointed. To those who pretend to be Italian gourmets and complain about the sauce, we have never had anything but tasty, well-prepared food. It makes me suspicious that there are people (or bots) with one review to their name who bash an establishment. Enough said.

A Hidden Gem in Spencerport: An Unexpectedly Perfect Evening…read more We took a chance tonight. Based on a murmur from a friend of a friend, we drove to a small, unassuming strip in Spencerport, doubts quietly humming in the back of our minds. The exterior gave little away--no flashy signs, no grand windows. Just a simple door. We almost wondered if we had the right place. Walking in, our first thought was, "It's so small." Cozy, intimate, but not what you'd expect for a meal that promised such caliber. How quickly those doubts began to dissolve. We were seated, and almost immediately, we were wrapped in a kind of service I've only read about. The staff moved with a graceful, shadow-like precision--attentive without being intrusive, present without hovering. It felt less like being served and more like being gently cared for. A butler in a fine home, if that home also smelled of incredible things. Then came the bread. It sounds simple, I know. But this... this was to die for. Warm, crusty, soft inside--a promise of what was to come. For a starter, we ventured out: Korean octopus skewers. Now, octopus isn't everyone's cup of tea, and I'll admit, I hesitated. The flavors described seemed like a bold gamble. The first bite was a revelation. An absolute explosion--savory, slightly sweet, charred perfection, and tender in a way that made me question every poorly cooked piece of seafood I'd ever had. I was so, so wrong to doubt. The main course was duck. I've tried duck in so many places, chasing that elusive combination of meltingly tender, flavorful meat. It's so easy to get wrong. Here, the chef was spot on. It arrived looking like a masterpiece and tasted even better. Each forkful practically dissolved, rich and perfect without a hint of gaminess. I think we ate in near silence, just exchanging wide-eyed looks. Somehow, we found room for dessert: a vanilla crème brûlée. Another classic that so many places fumble. The tap-tap of my spoon breaking through that flawless sugar crust was deeply satisfying. It shattered into a perfect sheet, giving way to the silkiest, most fragrant vanilla custard beneath. I genuinely mourned the last spoonful. This place is a true hidden gem. It's not about pretense or a trendy location. It's about profound skill, executed with quiet confidence and served with genuine warmth. We arrived as cautious skeptics and left feeling like we'd been let in on a beautiful, delicious secret. If you get the chance, give it a try. You won't be disappointed. We certainly weren't. We're already figuring out when we can go back.
