This review is just for the wings and the service. Wings: best I've ever had. Literally. And I eat a LOT of wings. Perfectly tender, not too smoky. Lil char. They were out of the sauce for the xtra hot but the regular hot has a touch of heat so still good. But it just falls off the bone and the flavor is perfect. Bonus tip from the door guy: get the white queso sauce to dip your wings. I usually eat my wings straight with the buffalo sauce, no ranch or bleu cheese ever, but the queso here works with the hot wings like you wouldn't believe. So get a side of it. You won't regret it. Service: Awesome, fast, and attentive. Even when crowded they handle everything super fast. This is a very well-run bar with amazing food. Kinda bummed the score is under four stars. Came to Knockback Nats for the first time the other day for some wings with my boyfriend. We thoroughly enjoyed. The wings were an 11/10 on my scale, smoked perfectly served with as many dipping sauces as we wanted! Definitely a must have if you visit Knockbacks! We also ordered the chicken nachos. I LOVED the nachos. You get a huge portion and they are topped with smoked chicken, tomatoes, queso, lettuce, sour cream and salsa on the side. Good friend said their wings are the best and he was SPOT ON! I ordered 200 wings and a variety of sauces to feed a baseball team of 16 year olds and their dads. Best wings in cincy. We were in town recently and stopped in after a Reds game (currently living in south Alabama). Even though it was Friday evening and the bar was busy and full- they took my order quickly and got out to go food to us within maybe 20 minutes max. Ask anybody in the city where the best wings are, you are sure to get a few "Knockback Nats." My Gf and I split 16 wings. They give you 3-4 wing sauces and ranch. I think you should get them coated instead of dipping them in the sauce, my mistake. Fall off the bone, smoked wings. The only issue you may run into is that some of the wings will be too charred/burnt but that's a sacrifice you gotta make. Don't worry about ordering fries (they were forgettable) just like a good steak doesn't need A1 sauce, great wings don't need fries. You order at the bar, and they do have free popcorn for you to enjoy while you wait. For a sports bar it's pretty dark in there, and not a ton of seating options, plus the TVs are too small. But, good wings are good wings and when you can get them at an affordable price then you get 5 stars, I don't make the rules. read more

Smokey with a great depth of flavor, these wings are a demonstration of how good wings can truly be. The vibe of the place is pretty cool. It kind of just grabs the whole what a neighborhood bar should look like in a midwestern city. Kind of a dark but warm atmosphere, a bit dated, but we all know that retro is always cool. Cincinnati staple. Snug sports bar, with a great staff who are a well oiled machine and a no fuss menu and approach. Came one day for a drink during a Bengals game then had to come back the day after for the free popcorn and wings!! I liked the wings, but I think they were a little too charred for being a classic smoked wing. Very meaty and a great size, but I would like to try them on a different visit to see if this was a fluke. With only 5-7 things on a menu and wings being the best thing they are known for and "the best in Cincy" they should always be on point. The popcorn is amazing, simple but absolutely tasty and goes great with a brew, seltzer or a cocktail. There is a shuffleboard set and plenty of televisions. I very much enjoy ordering wings from Knockback Nats. When I came to Cincinnati two years ago, this was the place that was recommended to me by many to try out for wings. It certainly didn't disappoint. I've had visiting friends and family come here and they've all enjoyed the smokey charred goodness that is Knockback Nats' wings. For my recent order, I called ahead for 8 wings tossed with extra hot sauce (which is the perfect spice level for me). They said the order would be ready in 25 minutes and I walked in around 15 minutes later and my order was ready. I noticed they had a line out the door as they were maintaining COVID-19 guidelines, but for those who were only picking up orders could go in and complete their transaction. The wings were delicious. You'll notice in my picture that there are only two wings, that is because I couldn't contain myself and started munching away before I remembered to take a picture of the entire order.
