This was my go-to bar when I lived in Cincinnati. Every Thursday they have a special for dinner, so don't forget to ask about that if you show up on Thursday! Tuesday nights are open mic night. It's really convenient for musicians since they supply EVERYTHING - guitars, basses, amps, keyboards, mics, PA, drums - literally everything. The food here is AMAZING. It really is just typical American fare bar food, but it is the best typical American fare bar food you will find. The wings are hands-down the best you can get in Cincinnati and the best I've ever had period. Be wary of the sauce spiciness. The extra hot will make you cry and I dared not try the XXX hot in all the times I went there. Truly my only complaint is that they only have one beer on tap at a time that gets rotated monthly. I cannot say enough about how good these wings are. These and O'Bryans are my favorite in all of Cincinnati. The drinks here are reasonably priced and I love the casual atmosphere. It's a great place for happy hour, and now they've expanded next door so there's even more room to hang out. That being said, whatever you do - do NOT get a burger. I just love everything else about this place so much; but the burgers are absolutely horrible. My husband and I both got one and they were completely over cooked and hard to even chew. Smoked chicken wings! Very good, do yourself a favor and get them without sauce, or on the side. Hot enough spices as they come out of the smoker, why twice smoked though? I've eaten there twice and they suffice when they're not crowded. Wouldn't have waited to eat there ever. After today I won't spend a dime there again. We sat outside where their gate and tables obstruct half the public sidewalk with our dog. They were total jerks about the dog. Literally wouldn't let us tie him up inside or just OUTSIDE OF their stupid makeshift patio and sit for a drink, shouting, "no dogs!" I hate establishments that think they're entitled to hog half of the public sidewalk with their seating AND prevent people and leashed dogs from using the vicinity at the same time. If you have a dog tied next to the side of the building, where they legit ignored a dude simultaneously pissing as we were chased off, your money is no good to them. read more

Food was AMAZING on a Wednesday night around midnight. Quick service immediately upon arriving at the bar. Food came out quickly. I wish the bartenders would have been a bit more attentive and made eye contact. It took awhile for the second interaction once the food arrived. I would go back solely for the food, 100%. There were only 18 people at the bar with three bartenders and it took me about 20 minutes to order my second drink once I needed it. The white haired dude was focusing on two parties and didn't seem like he wanted to greet us. We sat at the bar for 45 minutes and I don't think he ever looked either one of us in the eyes. The dude with the dreadlocks was working hard along with the other bartender (forget his name). They were super nice though. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who is downtown and wants a chill atmosphere and REALLY GOOD food until 1am during the week. If I'm ever back this way I'd probably come back. read more

I love Knockbat Nats. They have great food and service. The wings are seasoned with a dry rub. They are "fall off the bone tender." Their nachos are awesome too. On Thursday nights, they have a surprise entree and it is always good and reasonable. Great place to go hang out and eat good food. Brooke is an especially great bartender. Much love to this dive, sports bar. I went their to bring in my 21st birthday. It was pouring rain and was upset since it was Sunday not many places were open (it was respectable time nowhere near 11 in all honesty. 16 Bit wouldn't let anyone in for the workers have a deal with their boss that if it's not packed the can close whenever the feel like it...must be nice). The popcorn and people I was with made it though. I have to arrive earlier and try their wings for I hear they're life-changing. Friendly people and lots of options. First time here and it was great! The wings were some of the best I've ever had. Our bartender recommended we get the dry rub with the sauces on the side and it was definitely the way to go. Their hot bbq sauce was delicious and my bf loved the garlic ranch sauce. I love the fact that they bring popcorn as soon as you arrive, I wish more places did that. We put in a take out order of 3 different types of wings, pretzels, and fries. Simply put, the best part of the meal was the garnish of celery. The man that took our order over the phone was nothing short of rude. Pretzels were listed on the menu but he barked over the phone they didn't have any. Great local neighborhood bar on the corner of 7th and Vine. Knockback Nats, has a great jukebox and nightly drink and food specials. I highly recommend their wings, I think they may be the best in the city. They smoke their wings which taste amazing and the meat is so tender it falls off the bone. Knockback Nats has a lot of other great items on the menu and one of the only places that serves a full menu every night until 1:00 A.M! Great bar to meet with friends or catch a variety of sports games. Staff is fun and friendly and the bar is dog friendly. This place is amazing! Love the atmosphere, the drinks and their amazing wings! I've had a lot of smoked wings before but nothing like these. They are smoky, crispy, and tender! They are sooo good that you HAVE to ask them to toss them in sauce or else they won't. Either way you can't go wrong. I usually get the sauce on the side so I can enjoy the nice smoky flavor. Stick with my story here. I went to this place four times while I was in town last week (from Portland, OR) for a convention. I went there based on some Yelp reviews and other research. First off, these are the BEST wings on the planet. And I've eaten quite a few in my life. I went in there with a friend the first night and we were just blown away by how good it was. Sauces were incredible....my friend insisted that he wanted the XXX Hot but the smart bartender said let me just put it on the side. She was right. Ok so the following night I'm out late and with a group of people and we want to go there for some more wings. We see on the website that the kitchen is open until 1am and we high-tail it over there and walk in the door at 12:42, to be told by some rather sullen dude behind the bar that they weren't serving any more food. Huh? No sense in arguing so we walked out. The next day, I went back with a friend, around 3pm only to be told again that they didn't serve food until 5pm. BUMMER. But, we got chatting with the good-looking lady behind the bar and related the story of how they wouldn't serve us wings at 12:42 even though they were supposed to be open until 1am for food. Turns out she was the right person (owner) to be telling this too. She told us to be sure to come back later that night and she HOOKED US UP. Loved this place. Wow best wings I have tasted in Cincinnati. The smoked wings were amazing. I heard people talk about this place and finally went to try it out, I sat at the bar ordered some smoked wings with a side of fries and watched a game. The wings were bigger than what I thought they were going to be. I ordered way more than what I should of and was not able to eat them all. The staff was super friendly and very attentive. What a kick butt atmosphere!!! I came on Tuesday night it happened to be karaoke night. The bartenders are awesome and super knowledgeable on all their food. They smoke all they're meat here. Well..downtown Cincinnati. It was vibrant a lot of colorful people..a lot of beautiful people! If you're into people watching it's like any other downtown..no where to park! Met a lot of nice people! So I see this lady walking down the street with a bag and asked her where she got her food and did they have good eats.. she told us where she got her wings she said they had a good wings. So I got the wings. They weren't bad they were pretty good! different flavor not fried. The sauces well that's another story. They weren't weren't that great they all had that heavy vinegar base there was nothing sweet or sweet/tangy everything was hot! with an overwhelming zing of vinegar. Have you had the wings here yet?? HAVE YOU!? Well if you haven't- then you need to get yourself down to Knockbacks and try them, now! They are smoked - not fried - and they have a lot of meat on the bone. You're not getting some tiny frozen crap that's been thrown in breading and fried in a vat of oil. I tried the Pineapple BBQ sauce on my wings and it was oh so delicious. The wings are a tad spicy, but not so spicy that you burn your mouth trying to eat them, unless you're into that sort of thing, then they have XXX Hot sauce. My husband and I ordered 16 wings, a basket of fries (which are baked, not fried), and a bucket of Bud Lights and the damage was about $32. That's pretty darn good if you ask me! Considering the quality of the food, it was well worth it. We stopped down before the Reds game last night and the place wasn't all that busy, surprisingly enough, and it made for a more pleasant experience while eating. As we left the game last night, my husband was still talking about how good these wings are and asked if I would be okay getting dinner there again next week. Looks like we'll be back! read more

The only complaints that I have is that it is horrible to get anyones attention to order while in the restaurant and that they do not offer carry out on Super Bowl Sunday. Flew in from California and the first thing I wanted was an ice cold beer. So obviously I got on yelp and looked up the local bars near the Hyatt . So glad we chose this place. Ice cold PBR tall cans in stock. I love that. I felt like I was back home in my back yard. I ordered the absolute best chicken wings I've ever had anywhere. Perfectly smoked. I also ordered the brisket nachos. I can't tell you wish was better. They were both amazing.
