Cincinnati's most exclusive sports bar! Covid has caused demand to outstrip capacity, and I've only gotten in without waiting once out of the last four times I've been by. If you are fortunate enough to get in you can't beat it on gameday, whichever day of the week that is for you. Get a cheap tallboy and walk away with your own Knockback's XL koozie. WHAT else is there to say? Inexpensive drinks, many TVs, dark atmosphere. Just what you want from a sports bar. read more

If we're going by the standards of dive bars, Knockbat Nat's absolutely deserves 5 stars. The wings were phenomenal--some of if not the best I've ever had--and my girlfriend agreed. The drinks were nice and strong, solid mixed drinks, the music was good, and the bartender was friendly. If I lived in Cincinnati, I can tell Knockbat Nat's would be one of my go-to haunts. It was everything I could ever want in a dive bar! read more

Best smoked wings ever! Hands-down! I just dipped in tonight for the first time in about 10 years and it was just as epic as ever. If you haven't been here, you're missing out! Everybody deep Fries, their wings, but these guys smoke them! Next level! read more

My fave spot for football sunday. Brooke is the best bartender, so friendly and super attentive. Their wings and hanky Panks are my fave menu items. read more

Best damn smoked wings in the nation! Hands down! I dare you to find better. Everyone I take here from out of town loves them and agrees . It's a total dive bar so don't expect fancy wares. Just get a seat where you can fit in, order the wings with sauce on side, munch on the free spicy popcorn, and get a boozy drink that will knock you on your tail (I think that might be the origin of the name). These bartenders are heavy handed - the way I like em! read more

Great wings, a juke and a staff that is always on top of it! Great little watering hole in a down town area!

Officially my favorite wing joint in Cincinnati! You walk in, find yourself a table, order your food and drinks up at the bar and they will deliver your food to you. This is definitely one of those "hole-in-the-wall" bars but not one to underestimate. It does tend to get super packed during game days. Their smoked wings are to die for and their buffalo sauce tops it all off. I can't get myself to order anything else when I go because their wings have me hooked. Overall, a great place for a couple beers and wings through the weekdays when it's not so busy. read more

The wings are absolutely to die for. Try a couple of different flavors. Have a beer while you get your hands filthy with wings. Great spot. I try to visit every time I'm in Cincinnati read more

Came here late night and took full advantage of the great prices on tallboys, complete with free coozie. It is a very popular dive sports bar, with shuffleboard and free popcorn. It was crowded, even for a late weeknight, but there is plenty of seating. We had eaten earlier, so didnt get to try their famous smoked wings, which smelled amazing, so I look forward to coming back to try those. read more

We arrived in Cincinnati on Opening Day, to celebrate our Reds and get married in one of our favorite places- Great American Ballpark! After we tied the knot we were looking for a celebratory drink. We unsuccessfully tried the other "fancy" place on the other corner(we know better now). They were just too busy . The lovely employees at Town Place Suites recommended we walked a few more feet down to Knockbacks!! Best decision! They were actually busy! 3 deep at the bar, all the tables full inside and out! We received quick and friendly service from Brook, within SECONDS! We loved the vibe so much we returned on Saturday and once again had friendly and quick service but this time from Eddie! We even met a few employees on their day off(this says a lot) and the door guy on his very first day. Not sure what playlist they use but the house music was everything I dream of for a chill night out. If we lived in Cincy this would be our place. Oh, and the wings were delish and I am pretty sure what prevented my hangover All the love to Knockbacks and their staff from Sneads Ferry, NC! read more

Knock Back has some of the best food especially for a place that feels like a little neighborhood spot. I like a lot of the food. I totally love the atmosphere. I feel like I can chill, sit back and just be myself. I just went with my sister and her husband. We ended up meeting to awesome couples one here from Columbus for their anniversary because their first date was at Knock Back. The servers are all welcoming, friendly and fun! read more

Best wings in Cincinnati hands down. Service is good, definitely worth trying! Only negative is i wish they served lunch.

This is a fun dive bar in downtown Cinci. It is nothing special to look at- but the food is legit and they have great TV's and NFL Sunday Ticket. We needed a chill place to watch the Eagles Sunday night game and grab some food and this spot was just around the corner from our hotel. They are well know for their wings and brisket so we ordered some of each. We had 8 smoked wings tossed in a tasty pineapple BBQ sauce and the show stopper- Brisket nachos. So freakin good!! I washed my food down with a glass of Cabernet that was surprisingly tasty. I figured a bar like this wouldn't have much of a wine selection but they had 4 reds and 4 whites to pick from. The female bartender was a little rude but no biggie. The crowd was rowdy and there were some drunk girls falling all over the place but that is to be expected- it is a "Dive Bar" after all. read more

This is the holy grail for wings in Cincinnati! My husband found it on a Reddit thread for the best food in the city and it was the best piece of advice we've ever been given. The venue is a total dive bar with sports memorabilia. Baskets of popcorn are complimentary and so good! We've been here numerous times and have always had great service from the bartenders and food runners. We've never ventured away from the wings because honestly, why mess with a good thing? read more

I stopped here after getting off a plane and needing a quick lunch while I waited for my hotel room to be ready. Service was OK, not quick, but not overly slow. Had local beer selection which was appreciated. Opted for nachos, which I ordered understanding I would get a Midwestern version of the dish. Was it amazing? No. Would I try something else next time? Yes. But was it a place I wouldn't agree to meet someone at? No. Would be happy to meet somewhere here or try again. It just wasn't "amazing". Given that it advertises itself as a dive bar, it is satisfactory for what it is. read more

Came here on a tip from our Uber driver on our trip to Cincinnati. He said the wings were on point and it was like the words went straight from his mouth into my boyfriend's heart. After going to the baseball game we had a hankering for wings and knew exactly where to go. This place was HOPPING. It was hard to find a place to sit or get a bartender's attention but not impossible. Given the crowd the bartender's attention was understandable. We were thankful to some folks who shared their table with us. The music was great. Lots of sports on the TVs. Bartenders were nice (if busy). We ordered a boatload of wings in a few different flavors. The wings were the perfect size, just the right balance of juicy and crispy. Lots and lots of sauce. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. My only gripe is the temperature in here but the building looks old so perhaps that can't be helped. I was sweating from more than just the wing sauce. :) Go here for wings and a good time. read more

Knockback Nats - Wings!!! - Sports Bars Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

Ever since I moved to the Cincinnati area I kept hearing about how good the wings are here and finally was able to try them for myself! It was a Saturday night when I stopped in. The place was definitely full but not overwhelmingly over capacity. We were able to find a seat with no issue and the waitress greeted up promptly. I spent almost no time looking at the menu because I already knew what I wanted...WINGS! I ordered 6 smoked wings with ranch and honey bbq on the side. The wings lived up to the hype. Tender, perfectly smoked fall off the bone wings. They were delicious! Knockbacks has not seen the last of me and I can't wait to go back! read more

I was in Cincy this past weekend to work at the Flying Pig expo and my coworker insisted we eat here because they have the best wings... And he wasn't lying. They are smoked to perfection. Get the sauces on the side so you can get the full smoked flavor on the wings. Dip with sauces on the site. The portions are huge, I couldn't finish the 12 wing platter along with my waffle fries. You order at the bar and they bring the food to you. Don't go in expecting a super clean establishment with attentive service.. it is a BAR. Local bar vibes with cheap food and drinks. read more

Ok, so off of a recommendation a few friends and I came here to try their wings. Holy crap they are great. I'd have to say that they are the best wings I've ever had. Plus they bring popcorn out. The staff are very friendly. read more

This place is super cool. It's a dive bar located in the heart of downtown Cinci. A dive downtown can sometimes be quite the unicorn. Hard to find, but beautiful when you do. The atmosphere is truly fun. The bartenders are always happy to serve and the patrons I've had a pleasure to interact with have been laid back and very nice. It's a place I've found myself coming to when I'm in Cinci. I was lucky enough last time I was there to be stay close and could just walk back. The food is very good. I got the wings and my friend got the chicken nachos. The wings are fab, get them. read more

I almost feel like I'm sharing a prized secret. This is a great joint...shhhh!!! don't tell anyone and screw it up for those of us who love the atmosphere. It's always kinda dark here and the TV is playing random sports programs while music from several genres (thanks TouchTunes!) plays in the background. On this visit I was treated to Post Malone and Wild Cherry. You can order basic drinks here or wine or beer or shots, and they have a decent selection. Do not bring your vegetarian and vegan friends here. They have the meats! And they do it well. Beef brisket nachos were pretty freaking good. But then the wings came out...omg the wings...they are so, so good. One word of caution, the sauces are on the spicy side. I order mine nekid, with mild on the side and lots of fresh celery. Oh yeah, we had some hanky panky too. It's a thing at local bars to serve this food from Tupperware parties in the 80's. I like a spicy drink, like Angry Balls to balance my meat brain. Just for showing up and drinking in this cool, eclectic spot they will make you some fresh popcorn in a big bowl. You will eat it and want to drink more. See how that works? read more

So disappointed!!! Have heard great things about this place. Finally had a chance to stop by late night while staying at the Westin. I get there only to be told our kitchen is down sorry man. I've said it before and I'll say it again. These are the BEST wings in the city. Huge, smoked, and the sauces are amazing. Wings are very very very very very very very very very very very very good (word count lol)

The wings here are amazing! I think they are smoked, but there isn't an overpowering smoke flavor. Great place to go after a ball game.

No place to sit, overcrowded, and rude Ohio St. fans holding a prayer session in a "private room." Please, it's a freaking bar. Would not recommend. Did not look clean and was not welcoming. read more

Crowded, loud, popcorn littered the bar and floor. Stopped in to check it out and a party of Ohio st. fans in their little red outfits rudely yelled at us for watching TV in an unmarked room where they were having a private prayer session hoping there team didn't choke again. Unfriendly and chaotic atmosphere would not recommend. read more

Extremely sick from food poisoning after having the chicken quesadilla Saturday night. Not clean chicken.

Fantastic. Simple and fantastic. This is a local bar. It is what it is. Good pours. FANTASTIC food. Spectacular service. We live close by and haven't had to order our drinks in over a year, staff knew us after two visits. Free popcorn doesn't hurt. Don't be douche customer and you won't be treated like one! Suggestions: wings. And wings. And then some wings. Then finish up with the brisket. Or Thursday's, just let the house special lead you where you need to go. read more

Decent menu for a small bar but the service was poor, not friendly and the bar held my visa and put three different charges on it ! So not happy about that when I only had one food item! I hope whom ever got free food and drinks on me enjoyed it! The only thing I like was the juke box music. read more

Really cool bar with character. Came for the wings but wasn't crazy about them. They're smoked, but then apparently sit somewhere waiting to be served and are not fresh. I ordered a dozen w/ sauce on the side, but was not able to finish them as they were dried-out and chalky. I had a side of tots which were great, as was the complimentary popcorn. But the wings were not good. At least when I visited on a Sunday about 1 pm. read more
