Kneaders is, simply put, good enough. They've got good options for soups, salads, sandwiches and baked goods. I feel they lack some quality they once had. I grew up on Kneaders and ate there frequently, when they had just the two (Orem and Provo) stores. Now that they're in multiple cities, in multiple states, the quality of their food has been sacrificed to meet demand. The things I still order (and LOVE) are: Turkey, cranberry salad- there's a ton of real, pulled turkey in there. Turkey, bacon, avocado on focaccia House made potato chips-- covered from head to toe in Parmesan Pumpkin bread-- INCREDIBLE!!! It's seasonal, so I get at least 10 loaves between October and December. No chocolate chips! Just the way pumpkin bread should be. Chunky cinnamon French toast & the egg, sausage, cheese on a croissant are both epically good breakfast options! read more

We had the best experience with Kneaders yesterday. We placed two orders yesterday- one was a large order for lunch and the other was for cookie kits And sour dough bread. When we arrived for pickup a very nice young woman helped us with our order. She was very nice and went above and beyond for us when our cookie kits were not ready when they should have been. She offered to deliver our cookie kits to our house when her shift ended. A few hours later that is what she did! Hand delivered our cookie kits on her own time. My only regret is that I did not get her name. I wish I could thank her again for helping us have such a great experience yesterday. read more

I've been to Kneaders a zillion times but never had the breakfast. This was a terrible mistake. The French Toast is AMAZING; It's served with fruit and, no exaggeration, the best whipped cream I've ever had. A must try. As for the rest of the day, I could take it or leave it. There is always a huge line, the service is extremely hit or miss and I don't think the food is worth the frustration when it's a miss or the wait at anytime. If you're craving good French Toast and nothing else will do, hit kneaders up but if al you want is a sandwich or a brownie, there are a dozen less wearisome options. read more

This location can get pretty busy, but even when they are busy the food comes out quick and is always great. I have been here many times and I have never had anything I didn't like. My favorite sandwiches are their TBA, chicken pesto, chicken salad, and turkey cranberry. They have really yummy soups as well, I love their Asiago bisque, it's very unique and I honestly haven't found it anywhere else or even been able to find a recipe for it. They have a different soup each day. They are known for their amazing french toast which really is amazing. It tastes almost like a cinnamon roll. The worst breakfast sandwich I've ever had. I ordered the sausage cheese and egg croissant sandwich this morning. First off the cheese was not even melted, the sausage patty was kind of cold, well I guess I wouldn't say super cold but it really had barely any warmth to it. The croissant was extremely dry. There was absolutely no flavor to the sandwich whatsoever and I paid $7 and some change for it. You can get two croissant sandwiches for $4 at Burger King and they are FAAARRRR better in my opinion. Me: I'd like a turkey avocado on country sourdough. Kneader's cashier: Do you mean a turkey bacon avocado with no bacon? Me: Yes! (Order is taken and confirmed. I drive up to the window. I'm given the order. The sandwich is on some sort of focaccia). Me: I asked for sourdough. Kneader's cashier: We're out of sourdough. Me: You didn't say that when I ordered. Kneader's cashier: We have sourdough Asiago and some other kind that is a type of sourdough. Me: (Handing back the sandwich). I'll take the Asiago sourdough. Kneader's cashier: (Takes the order for new bread for turkey avocado with NO bacon, then hands me a new bag with the Asiago sourdough). Sorry. Me: (Get to work to eat sandwich. Open the box and sandwich has BACON. I'm not allergic to bacon but anyone could very well be.) So it was the cashier that took the order or the cook, but either way SUPER DUPER annoying. Let me start this off with I LOVE Kneaders. I've never had an issue with any of their locations except this one. When we came inside the restaurant no one was at the cash register and we could see an employee on their phone at the entrance to the back. We ordered our French toast of course and received them fairly quickly. Not a good thing though as it was reheated. Soggy, spongy French toast with the most disgusting strawberries I've ever seen. They looked like they were frozen and microwaved the day before and sat out. We didn't eat them as they were extremely discolored and grey toned. I eat at Kneaders fairly frequently and generally feel satisfied with the experience. However, I would probably not return to the Provo Kneaders. When I went with a small group, the restaurant was out of several of the regular menu items and offered only two kinds of soup. Everyone knows that kneaders food tastes good however do not rely on them to cater ANY event. They messed up our catering order and then charged extra for us to fix THEIR mistake. We ordered 200 pancakes to be catered with an estimate of around $500. They confirmed this with us multiple times. When the day of the event happened they brought 200 ORDERS of pancakes (aka A LOT more than 200, more like 600 pancakes) and charged us $2,000. When we corrected them they said we had to pay the full amount and take all the pancakes. So we had a leftover 400 pancakes and ruined our budget. Like I said I called to confirm and reconfirm the order of 200 pancakes but when the day of the event came they messed up and overcharged. Oh, Utah. You and your businesses that are hard to differentiate from scrapbook stores. I wish they would move all their crappy home "decor" out and make more seating. Or room for more treats. But if you need a wooden, shabby chic sign that says "always kiss me goodnight" to go with lunch then you're in luck. (Why do you have to force your significant other into kissing you goodnight, anyway? I hate that so much.) Looking past all that, Kneaders is pretty okay. This particular location is a shot in the dark as far as service and consistency. My work used to order lunch here all the time and it was hilarious to see how many different ways they would make the same thing. The much touted French toast is hardly deserving of the hype, but in typical Utah fashion the endless quantity is more important than the actual food itself. It's too sweet, and it's sloppily done. Sandwiches and salads are pretty good if they can make it how you order it. I like their bread. I like their cookies and sweets. I met my sister's family there for lunch on Christmas Eve while driving around Utah County shopping and trying to find good coffee and some Uggs for my niece. 3.5 Stars My friends brought me in here one morning for breakfast. They raved about the all-you-can-eat french toast, so I was really looking forward to coming! They give you 2 french toasts, served on a disposable black plate, with a cup of whipped cream and strawberries. I think they have one of the best whipped creams I've ever had. The french toast wasn't a disappointment, but it wasn't what I had expected. It was good in that it was sweet so I didn't have to add syrup, but it was more on the cold side- it definitely was not made to order. I think I would have liked it more if my french toast was fresh and warm, and unlimited whipped cream + strawberries were part of the all-you-can-eat too. Again, I really dislike writing reviews for chain establishments, so this will be a mixture of Kneaders in general and this location, as this is the one I've been to most. First off, I love the french toast on weekend mornings. Mmmmm...so yummy. Sinful, I'm sure. The syrup they give you isn't maple, but some caramel like sauce that's rich and thick. Top it off with some whipped butter and strawberries (no free refills there :( ) and it's a very sweet way to fill your belly. And super cheap. The also have a wide variety of divine baked goods. Lots of breads and treats. Really, everything I've tried from Kneaders has been delicious. I'm not really sure what they put into their foods, but it's always been soft when it should, and sweet, sometimes more than it should. Some locations, if not all, also offer discounted goodies late on Saturday nights, to make some last minute profits I guess, before they throw the week's good out. The ambiance of all the Kneaders I've been in are about the same, very upper middle class cozy. Lots of "cute" decorations for sale, lots of blocks spelling things like "Love" and "Home." You get the idea. Definitely a place that's a little too sweet and sticky, not unlike their baked goods. There isn't a lot of "service" that goes into eating here, so get your own table, drink, and pick up your own food. Can't say much here. Overall, it's a generally convenient place to meet friends (so I found) and they have pretty good hours, unlike some bakeries. Two words to describe this place? Sugar 'n' Spice. My brother-in-law took me to this place pretty early in the morning. I was soo tired and am generally not a breakfast person. In fact I prefer cold pizza or cheeseburger for breakfast over breakfast food. I also don't always trust his level of food pickyness so I was nervous. I looked over the menu pretty frustrated as I did not see much that I would have usually thought to order. I gave up and asked what he likes about this place. My office tends to order lunch here about 3 times a month. The thing that sticks out to me is that their turkey isn't sliced, its pieces of turkey breast. I love that. Makes it so much better. They also use leaf lettuce, which makes a difference. their tomatoes suck (as to all fast food and most restaurants, for some reason they can't find fresh tomato to save their lives and the bread is solid.
