I normally don't do this but I am a little annoyed this is the 3rd time at only this location that everytime I get this salad something wrong happens. The first time the gave me the wrong dressing so I didn't even eat the salad, the second time i asked them to not put onions on it and they did and asked for extra dressing and they only gave me one and then this most recent time the cheese is wrong on it and the turkey is like nothing. I'm just bummed cause I pay for something I don't get at only this location. Idk if there needs to be more training for the people in the kitchen but I won't be coming to this location anymore. This location lost my business tonight. We waited in the drive through for 20 min before anyone ever spoke with us at the window. During this time I watched this employee lick soup off her finger. She then put on one globe to bag some bread for another customer but touched it with both hand and then preceded to handle my cash with the same glove. This was the 4th time in a row my sons grilled cheese was either burnt or they forgot to include his cookie. Horrible service, counter help was very rude. I asked if the egg on the breakfast sandwich was scrambled. He said no, it is a fried egg. I asked if it could be scrambled, he rolled his eyes and said "whatever". I asked if that was an issue, he said that we don't normally make it that way. I called him out on his smirky tone and he said that he has been really sick and not feeling well. So he is really sick and he is handling food. Great! Maybe the health department might be interested in that little nugget. We decided to leave. Kneaders used to to be such a wonderful place. It is just what happens when owners get greedy and forget the reason they became successful. They have no incentive to train their employees to be courteous and accommodating. So many better places with better prices and employees who appreciate your business. We ended up going to Penny Ann's Cafe that day and the difference in service is night and day! I've always had a good experience at this Kneaders. I like that everything looks and tastes like you made it at home, but better, and with care. Their French Dip is one of my go-to's! The roast beef and provolone on a baguette with a side of warm au jus is tasty, comforting, and hits the spot on a cold day. Most recently I got the Pastrami, fully loaded on Ciabatta. Pastrami sandwiches are one of my all time favorite things, but it seems like not many lunch places have it anymore. This Pastrami comes with mayo, mustard, provolone, lettuce, tomato, and sliced red onion. A perfectly balanced sandwich. Next time I would probably get some kind of sliced bread instead of the Ciabatta. The Ciabatta was delicious, soft, and spongy but in my opinion just a little too thick for this type of fully loaded sandwich. Each bite kind of pushes the meat and veg out the other end. Still delicious, just kind of messy. I got it in a combo with a side salad and balsamic dressing. I also love their breakfast sandwiches, pies, pastries, bread, salads, and soups. I also like the convenience factor of the drive-thru and it's prime location. The staff is always friendly, kind, and prompt. My orders have also been prepared quickly and handled with care. What the? Had nothing but good stuff here up until the world's saddest birthday cake. $47 for slop-o-rama. The staff more or less politely told us to suck it. I love kneaders. No matter which location I go to. I always get the cream of broccoli soup with a white bread slice, and a turkey and cranberry salad with no sunflower seeds. Of course it is supposed to have sunflower seeds but I do not like them so they happily leave them off. If I'm feeling like I need a dessert are usually get a fruit tart. Excellent little cafe/bakery. Breakfast: Breakfast Sandwich (4 stars): with a buttery croissant, fried, thin sliced ham and a fried egg with melted cheddar. Delicious. French Toast (5 stars), with massively thick slices of cinnamon bread, smothered in egg batter, fried and topped with home made creme fraiche, strawberries, and/or a thick, caramel maple pecan syrup. They are as good as they sound. LUNCH Crab Roll (5 stars): My current favorite thing on the menu. Dense amazing rolls, split down the top and grilled, topped with amazing seafood salad and a ton I avocado and red onion. The lunch offering is good: the salads are 3.5 stars, my wife likes the Avocado Green salad or the Chicken Alamondo salad. The turkey sandwich is 4 stars, with thick chunks of turkey like you would carve off the Thanksgiving bird. It will surprise you the first time you try it. Get your sandwich with the Foccacia bread and extra kneaders sauce. The soups are generally good, but can be spottier quality depending on what you order and the day. Avoid the chicken noodle, IMO. Desserts are hit and miss. The bread pudding is only 2 stars: served dry and cold, except the raspberry bread pudding, which is 4 stars. What's happening here? What was once a good bang for your buck and quality food is now just the opposite. They're chintzy. Smaller portions for the same price. ALWAYS get the order wrong. The last 4x I've been to a Kneaders (most recently this one), they forget the bacon or avocado on the Turkey Bacon Avocado Salad. And they use poor quality lettuce. I've been a long time kneaders loyal customer but this location has been a let down every single time I've gone (about once-twice a month for past six months). Each time I've gone in they have had poor service. They have not once had samples out, and when asked they always respond that "yes, we still do samples just not right now". They used to have really good breakfast sandwiches here made with cheddar cheese, but they recently replaced it with American cheese--yuck! If I wanted an American cheese sandwich, I might as well go to McDonalds. It's been several years since I ate at a Kneaders, but I was excited to come back. I don't know if it's the whole chain, or just this location, but the quality of food and service were both lacking. Our party of 3 each ordered the all you can eat chunky cinnamon French toast. The bread was dry, and there was hardly any of the cinnamon topping and swirls that made the French toast so exceptional in the past. Has anyone noticed the prices are skyrocketing at Kneaders? They've dissected their salads now so you can order w/o "protein." The first time you may order thinking they will be like they were before, always with chicken or other "protein," but when it comes you'll see there is no meat on it. That is separate on all, but one salad. The added "protein" costs anywhere from $2-3 more making the total cost $13.99 or $14.49 or $16.49 depending on the salad ordered. Three of their salads w/"protein" cost $13.99. Another, Berry Pecan, costs the most at $16.49 and the Avocado Ranch costs either $10.99 plain (no "protein") or $12.99 with added chicken "protein" or $13.99 with added turkey "protein." The only salad that comes with "protein" is the Turkey Bacon Avocado and it's cost is $14.49. It becomes shocking to see that ordering just two salads with "protein" (as in the former days) now costs you around in the $30+ range. The last two times we went there and got just two salads, it cost us $31.37 and the time before that it was $33.54. Wow! Just think if you came in with a family of say 5 people who all ordered a salad (like the two we last ordered), no drink or dessert, you'd probably be paying in the high $70's to mid $80's range for dinner that night. And you now only get one dressing. Extra dressing costs $.50 each. I'm surprised you aren't charged extra for the bread that comes with some salads. We all know prices have gone up, but doing the salads this way seems kind of (is the word) sneaky). I'd rather they have the price of all salads with the "protein" like they always did, but give a $2-3 discount if you want no "protein." We've also noticed low attendance at times that used to be busy times. Is this a sign that people can't afford it? Maybe. I've also noticed they are starting to offer kids classes. Is that to bring in extra revenue because they are having a hard time? It almost seems obvious, but then when you charge $18.99 for a quart of soup, you sort of can see why. We won't be going there much anymore. We now go to BYU Creamery where the salads are around $6-7 (with "protein") and the soup is around $8-9 for a quart. I may be off a little on the costs, but they are so much lower than Kneaders. And they are delicious too...made with Spring mix lettuces, not the romaine that Kneaders seems to love to use! Oh, they will replace the "greens" with spinach if you choose the "custom' button, but it will cost you and extra $1. I love this place, been coming here for breakfast and lunch for years. I almost always get the same sandwich for lunch, have probably had it 20x. Today I ordered through the drive thru which was fast and a pleasant experience, but when I got home and opened up my sandwich, I was hit with a smell that was.... off. I chalked it up to it likely just being the plastic container the food was served in, and decided to go ahead and try the sandwich.... nope. Something was off there too. Just visited the Draper location and I am very disappointed. My turkey cranberry salad had a very sad almost comical amount of turkey on it and my husbands soup was ice cold. This worried us because soup should be kept at a certain temperature to avoid food poisoning. Needless to say he did not eat it. read more

Probably the worse kneaders I've ever been too. I was driving through draper and thought I would get a piece of pie and a coffee. Mistake that was. The drive thru did have another of cars but I thought huh it'll probably go fast oh boy was I wrong. 20 minutes I waited in drive thur for coffee and a piece of pie! I couldn't believe it.
