What we received was an amateur product and some of the worst customer service we've encountered. When we arrived to pick up the cake, we noticed they had piped the name as "AMEL" in pink and the last two letters "ia" in black gel. When we pointed this out, we had to wait almost an hour at the bakery while our guests were already waiting at our home. The second attempt was just as bad--shaky, messy handwriting on a surface that was visibly scuffed from scraping off the first mistake. As a final "fix," they slapped an unevenly broken chocolate rectangle with the name over the middle of the cake, which completely ruined the aesthetic. When we brought up the poor lettering, the owner dismissed our concerns with sarcasm, remarking that "a 1-year-old won't remember the handwriting anyway." To make matters worse, the cake itself was inedible. The top cream layer was grainy, separating, and distinctly bitter. Not a single guest could finish their slice, and the entire cake went straight into the trash. When we called the next day to share our experience, instead of apologizing, they deflected blame onto us, claiming everything happened because we arrived late to pick it up. Arriving late does not cause a decorator to use two different colors for a child's name, nor does it make fresh cream turn grainy and bitter. Paying a premium price should come with basic attention to detail, good taste, and accountability. Biscotts failed on all three. Save your money and go elsewhere.
