    The difference between a small car dealership like Hill's Auto Sales versus one of the big dealers…read morejust down the road is that when you step onto the lot of one of those big dealerships, there will almost immediately be some shark sniffing you out, trying to gauge how much commission they might be able to get out of you. They are therefore incentivized to sell you the most expensive car that they can, and of course, to sell as many cars as possible. Most if not all of those dealerships even give their salespeople quotas to reach each month, which makes it more about quantity than quality of service. Hill's Auto, on the other hand, is owned and operated by Jeremy Hill, and his business model is to seek out the best cars that he can find and then do whatever repairs need to be done in order to make them dependable. Then he sells these cars to his customers at the best price that he can. No commissions. No middlemen. That's his name on the sign, and it's his reputation if he started selling people lemons. That's the difference between a salesperson and a small-business owner. Alhough, like most people, I've been conditioned over the years to never set foot on the lot of a used car dealership without being on my guard and skeptical of every claim (especially when it comes to undercoating, which is right up there with blinker fluid), Jeremy Hill has integrity. That's a rare quality in a used car dealer, but it's one that I think will help his business flourish. He sold me a good car at a good price. When the check engine light came on shortly after buying it, he had his mechanic fix it (with a better-than-stock part), simply because this did not fit with his business model of selling dependable used cars at prices that people can actually afford. There was a problem that his mechanics had overlooked, and so he made it right. I waited a couple of weeks before writing this review, but I can now safely recommend Hill's Auto Sales to anyone who might be considering the purchase of a quality used car in the Bowling Green/Toledo area.

My DWC Service Advisor got my car back to the service technician even before my appointment time (I scheduled it myself, online). My wait was very short. In less than 40 minutes after I pulled into the convenient drop off bay, my oil change and tire rotation was complete! (Face masks required in all areas, and CoVid protocols were all in place, they even disinfected my car's interior before handing me back the keys.) The price was terrific! One of the best oil change experiences I've ever had! I highly recommend Dave White Chevy Service Center for an oil change, and multipoint inspections. I know I'm going to keep using Dave White Chevy for service! You should too!

At the time I was driving a car that was a death trap. I didn't have a lot to put down, but I did say how much I was putting down. I'm sitting there talking to the salesman and next thing I know I'm being asked if I can afford $400 which I said yes then it went to five and I said maybe and then it went $600. I was very uneasy because I knew I probably couldn't make the but I said I could probably make it work. Now mind you I have not been shown a car. I told them that I could afford a $10,000 car that was my budget. At the moment that this was happening to me I didn't think about any of this, by the time we were done I was talking to the Financial guy I forgot his name, who was talking to me about what I was getting for my car, blah blah blah and how much my payment would be. Which was way too much. I'm told this new car that was only a couple years old very low miles, I become excited. At the moment, I was OK with it after making payments on it for four months, I started drowning in debt. Borrowing from here borrowing from there. . The problem I have here is not once was I shown a car. Not once was I asked what kind of a car I was interested in. Now I'm not stupid and I'm usually typically knowing what's going on. But this place totally took advantage of me. I would never tell anybody to go there. I have told four people I have talked to not to go there because unless you have a man with you, they will totally take advantage of you. Do not trust this company.

Megan replied to my message and request, made a connection and I got ahold of Cameron Hofbauer in service. Spoke with Cameron and communicated via email initially and made an appointment. We arrived at the dealership (which has been recently purchased by a new owner, and is under new management too) punctually and was immediately assisted and taken care of. We are looking to purchase a new all electrical vehicle but I've yet to hear back from our sales representative that Megan introduced us too. I emailed Branden O'Hara the same day requesting the names of restaurants in the area that he has recommended to my husband and I at the time of our introduction. Did not hear back from him, I saw him later in on the same day and mentioned to him that I had emailed him. He replied that he got busy, totally understand, no rush I told him. Maybe I went to Spam. He said he will reply and check it out. Two days gone by now still no reply. No problem just a little disappointed bc we do want to work with him. I emailed Cameron thanking for everything he replied quickly and even mentioned that my husband was easy and clear to communicate with and great attitude. I agree. We Will give it another few days for Sales representative to get back with us. We understand that life happens and days get busy, however nurturing the new relationships are very important to follow up with. I am not expecting him to drop everything, but acknowledgement and or just a reply communication that email was received would be greatly appreciated. I know I am in Sales and have been in Sales all my life. Also, there is this lady by the name Carry, another sales representative I met that day was very sweet and so was Caleb Verlinde. Caleb Verlinde was extra helpful and greeted me on the way into the front of the dealership and went to look for Megan, since we had not met face to face yet. Overall I am giving it a 5 Five Star because they all work well synchronized and they made us feel welcomed and at home. I would ask that this is taken in your consideration as a learning experience to further expand their new leads and follow ups. We appreciate each and everyone and we hope this dealership continues to thrive and expand the opportunities for all staff. Thank you. Cameron has great clear communicating skills and we had a good experience on our initial visit. I highly recommend them. Thank you to all the mechanics and service representatives that assisted us on the diagnostics and recommendations.

You mention the vehicles you want to see and they jaw jack, wasting your time and theirs, before they even get a key. "Want to make sure it's in your price point." Obviously it is in my price point if I am wanting to look at it....? You mention the fact their listed price isn't actually the price they expect to get (hello bartering). It's then mentioned that they are priced competitively. Upon mention of better deals elsewhere you get a smug "show me". Then you show the KBB trade in price that is $4-6k less than they're asking and they make excuses. One of which is "it gets detailed". I call BS because there's grass all over the flooring, trunk, and stains all over. If that is detailed, they need to improve the quality of detail. When asked what we thought, and I mentioned it needing detailed, someone behind the desk (maybe management) gave a nice eye roll. The sales person asked why we didn't just go to Ann Arbor. Well, I think we will. $10-$20k sale lost for them.

They knew we were purchasing this vehicle and bringing it back to Pennsylvania (where vehicle inspections are mandatory to make the vehicle legal). They did not disclose any issues with the vehicle either. Upon contacting them, they are not willing to fix the vehicle nor contribute any money towards the $2k cost to fix. Horrible experience and shady business practices.

Unfortunately our salesman had other ideas and had nothing to offer us, eventho the vehicle was a good $2K overpriced. No discount on service contract, no undercoating to throw in for making the 90min drive. He actually said they do not prefer cash offers because then he won't get his "lender kickbacks" from their "corporate relationship". I asked to speak to a manager but got the finance guy instead, who again said no budging on the price and nothing else to offer. He then informs me that they have already gotten the loan approved on the full price plus tax, title and plates! We did not authorize the dealership to request an auto loan and had already secured our rates directly with our lender because we needed to pay off our other auto loan and roll that into the new one to have only one payment. The finance guy assured me they could do that (roll in the old loan w/o a trade in) and he would take my cash deposit on a credit card in house so we could leave with the car. They took the $2k cash deposit on a credit card, approved my payoff amount for the previous loan and reduced my monthly payments by $20 which seemed like something since I was getting no discounts or service or anything. They gave us 2 logo key chains for our 2 fobs. Then I call the credit union on Monday to find out why I have 2 auto loans and 2 payments expected in Dec!

When I took the vehicle in approximately two weeks later telling him I couldn't get the Cadillac Camera System to work, he took my keys, went outside to check out my vehicle, came back in about ten minutes later, tossed the keys at me, advised me that the vehicle didn't have the camera system and WALKED AWAY. As far as I am concerned, this is FRAUD. Every time I talked to him about the vehicle, he told me how much I would love the camera system. He described it in detail. I am exceedingly upset. When I complained to the dealership owner, his attitude was pretty much "too bad". If I had known that the vehicle did NOT have this feature, I would NOT have bought it. I would have waited until the dealership found a vehicle that met my requirements.

Received an immediate response from sales that I could take a look at the vehicle, but they couldn't sell it yet as there was a recall on an airbag and they didn't know when it would be replaced, maybe a month or a year. Thought it was odd that it would have even been listed, but we had purchased a truck from them previously and had a good experience. I replied back I wasn't interested as it could not be purchased and we were needing something immediately. I began receiving a ridiculous amount of emails from their salesman and managers. So many in fact, I had to block them. I was irritated they would pester a client that way, but didn't think too much more than that. A month later the new vehicle we purchased (2 hours north of where we live) has an abs & check engine light come on simultaneously. Luckily we purchased a bumper to bumper warranty. Made an appointment with Greg Bell Service, explained the issue and let them know about the warranty we had. Dropped off vehicle and husband started getting calls immediately that it would be almost 2000.00 for a fuel injector. My husband once again told them we have a warranty that covers everything, but he was told it was expired which it was definitely not it's 48 months. Finally "the folder" with our warranty info was "located" so they understood there was no charge to us. My husband then got a voicemail stating that he needed to contact the company the warranty was through as they had an old phone number and Greg bell would not receive their check until it was corrected. Thought it was odd as the work was not still not complete but they were very worried about their check. I immediately called the warranty company and updated my husband's phone number, which I was told wasn't an issue at all, and no one could figure out the phone number that Greg bell said they had on file. Truck was supposed to be ready July 16th. Never heard a peep from Greg Bell. My husband called to find out what time the truck would be ready as that was the promised day. He was informed someone "forgot" to include the part in their shipment for the day and maybe Thursday. No apology, no mention of telling the manufacture to overnight the part due to their neglect, nothing! They weren't even going to call to let us know of the delay, but they can call to make sure a phone number (they had incorrectly) could get updated so they can get their check faster. So Thursday rolls around, big shocker no communication from Greg Bell. Husband calls, no part again but maybe Friday.... Friday rolls around, guess where I'm going with this... yes, no word from Greg Bell. Had to call again and got another lame excuse, someone else dropped the ball. Here it is now Monday, they claim they have the part but don't know if it will get finished today yet. These people are a joke! Don't waste your time! I should've had realized they were scammers when I had to block their sales team from harassing me. It's a shame as we really had a great experience when we purchased a vehicle previously, however we will never do business was with these clowns for sales or service after this. A 2 -4 hour job has taken 6 days and we do t have our truck back yet?! Update; after confirming they received the mysterious part they have been waiting for yesterday it's been more than 24 hours and truck still isn't ready! Unreliable and very untrustworthy
