When we contacted the dealer initially, we got a response that evening. The dealer is open on Saturdays so I was able to test drive the car that weekend. Bill and the owners were patient with my questions and explained the process to me in a way that was helpful and not condescending. This is important to me as this was my first car buying experience. I was able to call the dealer a handful of times the morning I was buying the car. Purchased F-350 King Ranch DRW from Jason. Asked multiple times for them to do basic service on…read moretransmissions and differentials. They refused and said that mechanic did a thorough inspection and service. Front differential, (ring, pinion, bearings), hub, axle shaft bearing, and obviously 4WD all failed less than 3000 miles from purchase due to mud and water inside which they never noticed or serviced. Definitely never serviced vehicle properly in spite of recommended service intervals. EGR Cooler also plugged within same time frame - along with driveline u joints that failed and froze. Needed $7000 in work. Truck was driven hard off road prior to purchase without any service and/or involved in a flood. Even the most basic items like the fuel filters never were serviced. Ford recommends fuel filters be changed every 22k. The fuel filter on frame was dirty and nasty - probably hadn't been changed in a very long time. Definitely not at my purchase. Had to call multiple times to get license plate as they never sent out.... finally received after temp tags expired. Will you trust A1 or their mechanic knowing that he let all this go ? Hope I help someone else from making a very poor buying choice.

I contacted the dealership right away, and I've made multiple trips back trying to get this taken care of. I didn't buy a truck from a dealership just to spend my time chasing them around trying to get them to fix problems that showed up immediately after I bought it. I'm now asking them to just send me the parts so I can fix the damn thing myself because apparently that's the only way anything is going to get done. I understand used vehicles can have problems. What I don't understand is completely ignoring the customer after the sale and making them drive four hours round trip multiple times without actually fixing anything. I noticed some surface scratches that were very noticeable. At that time the Owner of the Nice Car Company was nearby, and I asked if I could have the scratches buffed out since I really liked that SUV. He said sure we can do that, just mention it to your salesman. Point being, even the owner knew I was SERIOUS about this SUV. I tell my salesperson that this is the one and he says lets go up front to the office and write it up. He writes up the "Vehicle Purchase Order" that I Sign and He signs. I ask if Tuesday 10/6 will give them enough time to get the scratches buffed out as I'll need to get the money together and make arrangements to come back and pick it up. The salesperson says, o yes. He swiftly takes the signed copy, and I am left with my copy of the Vehicle Purchase Order. I go on my way. Tuesday 10/6 is the day stated for delivery. I have not received any phone call or warning of any issues. Tuesday my husband and I leave work early as he will drive my current car home after I pick up my, NEW TO ME SUV! I have a check in hand for the agreed amount on the paperwork. I have also finalized my plans for the upcoming weekend since we will be using the New Vehicle for travel. I walk into the Nice Car Company and ask for the salesperson, and I am greeted with the response of, O he is probably hiding. Kind of odd for a salesman who is about to collect a check! My salesperson comes out and says we have a problem. Another salesperson sold my SUV and delivered it. They no longer have it. I have no words as I was not sure what would come out of my mouth at that point. MY husband asks, WHY didn't you call her before we came all the way out here? The salesperson turns his back to me and looks at my husband and says, she was still undecided on that one!!! This was a flat out lie. As stated, I signed a Vehicle Purchase Order. Mr. Salesperson says we will make it right and get you something better. On my way home, he calls and makes me an offer on a different but newer SUV, HOWEVER they want more money from me for it. MY response, absolutely NOT, if you can't give me a deal for what is on this check than that is not an option. He says he will check with his boss. he calls me back and NOPE can't sell me that DEAL for that amount, even though they screwed up the first deal and my entire upcoming planned weekend. SO, I call back on Monday 10/12. Surely that is enough time to find a deal to compensate for their screw up. NOW I get the cold shoulder! Now I am being told THEY will call me when they find something. So today 10/14 and not one call or offer or question or apology. I have concluded the Nice Car Company of Ottawa Lake Michigan has NO Integrity. Please beware!

It had a minor issue which they fixed prior to us taking it home. They were easy to deal with, and when there was one tiny issue a few weeks later, they offered to repair it free of charge. You don't get that kind of service for a car that is almost 10 years old. They specialize in salvage titles. That means you can get a great car with low miles at an amazing price. I don't worry about a salvage title with them, because they do excellent work and stand behind the work that they do. A few weeks after I purchased my daughter's car, I kept thinking about the Santa Cruz that I saw and drove on the lot. I fell in love with that truck. The owners gave me a fair deal on it, I was able to pick it up at 4:45 PM and be off the lot by 5 PM with the keys in hand. If you want a painless purchasing experience, I would highly recommend coming here. Salvage titles can be hit or miss, but not when you deal with a reputable business. It gets no simpler. They are high pressure, and if you tell them what you're looking for, they will keep an eye out.
