I will never take my truck here for service again. On a side note. The quick lane oil change people are fine I will still use them. Long story short. Called for a part to be replaced. Whoever received the call set up an appointment. I take off work, get there and find out they didn't order the part. Johnathan the service tech was not friendly. He seemed to enjoy informing me the job I made an appointment for couldn't be done. I find out they wouldn't replace the $40 part, they would have to charge me $3600 for a much bigger repair. (Which is unneeded). Johnathan had a real bad attitude like I was inconveniencing his racket by knowing what part I needed and not letting them scam me for a bigger job. I wouldn't have taken off work and honored the appointment if I knew I was going to get baited and switched into a $3600 robbery. I feel bad for people who go here and don't know any better. We had to have a bulge tire replaced on our Ford F250 super duty truck the Ford dealership in adrian Bell Ford stated they would not replace this as it was not part of our warranty. Called Brondes, taught us to bring the vehicle in dropped off. Had the tire replaced only paid for the balancing fee and we were on our way. Highly recommended. LADIES BEWARE!!! I purchased a 2022 Escape this year, I test drove it on a Wednesday, looked it over to make sure all the tires matched as I know of someone else who bought a vehicle from them only to realize later that none of the tires matched. Anyway, all the tires matched and the wheels were silver. I went in two days later, signed the paperwork and was very happy with my purchase. The next morning I discovered that the swapped out the drivers side front tire and changed the wheels to cheap plastic black ones. I called and was told by the salesperson that I bought it from I would have to talk to his manager, who, of course, was in a meeting. The manager did return my call only to tell me that he was looking at the inspection paperwork from when they acquired the vehicle and that is how it came to them. I stopped by the dealership the following Monday and asked to see the paperwork but was instead sent to the service department where I was "assured" that there is no problem having tires that do not match and was disregarded once again. I know its just a tire, BUT its the fact that they all lied. I would have reached out to corporate about this, but, it most likely would have only led to more frustration. This review is more on the sales staff in the service. I've had minor service work done on my vehicles here with no problem. I've also purchased over 12 vans for my company from this location. I've always just settle for mediocre to below mediocre sales staff. You would think with the volume of vehicles I purchased I would get more timely responses and a more accurate information. I've since been buying my vehicles at Matthews Ford where I'm actually appreciated. And I also find out that they're charging $700 more for the same extended warranty that is offered at other dealerships. That's money going straight in their pocket. Lessons learned. read more

Horrible service department!! Only care about money and not the customer! I just purchased a brand new Explorer from a Michigan dealership (an hour away) the day prior, I also purchased the extended warranty and premium service with allows me to have a rental/courtesy car when brought in even before they diagnosis the problem. On the following day, the check engine light and a mechanical wrench light came on -- for seek service now. I drove to the nearest Ford dealership so they could assess while the lights were still "on" (I know from the past being told they lights have to be on to diagnosis). The service representative that came out said they were busy and I needed to make an appointment, they could see me on Wednesday (it was Friday). I asked if anyone could come read the codes since they were on now, and he told me "No" everyone was busy and they don't have time. I made him aware that I did look in the manual for what the wrench light said "Powertrain malfunction, seek service immediately" and that I know it doesn't take that long to read them. He just kept repeating that they were busy and I could make appointment for Wednesday. I stated that I would leave my car there and take the courtesy/rental car then and he refused, stating I would have to wait till Wednesday to have either, and that would only be after he looked up my account to verify I have that service!! I told him I had the premium and I get the vehicle prior to that and he can look it up now, and he refused again stating that they didn't have any vehicles available to loan out. I then stated about the rental and he said he would have to call and schedule and could do that for WEDNESDAY! At this point, I asked if any if the other dealerships near by, like Central, had any loaner vehicles available. He said he didn't know and he would NOT call to find out, that they are seperate business and he is NOT going to take money from his place to theirs!! I told him how horrible his customer service was compared to the Ford (Gene Butman Ford, Yipsilanti) that I purchased the vehicle at was! When the lights came on, I called them initially and they told me I could come there or my closest Ford service center since I had a warranty and it would be covered. They did not try to get me to only go to their service center, and in the end when I pulled out of Brondes Ford on Secor, and called Gene Butman Ford to tell them about my horrible experience, they offered to drive down a loaner vehicle to my house (an hour away) and take my car to their service center...which I did. read more

Worst customer service experience ever over an outsourced detail job. Communication was poor from the service manager to the dealership manager. There were multiple calls made and the result was "sorry, we can't help you." The failure to own up to the problem is a systematic issue that I'm sure you will have to resolve within your organization. As far as our business goes - there are plenty of other dealerships in town and you have lost not one customer but many. Social media is powerful and friends don't let friends shop where the service is poor. ***1/10/2015 - Update - Toledo Municipal Court case number CVI-14-07674. We had to take this to small claims - tragic right? But we won. It wasn't the amount to fix all of the damage, but we're okay on the principal that there needed to be accountability. After months of haggling back and forth, shifting blame here and there; it wasn't about the money anymore. And BTW - this was a Mustang Roush we took in for an interior repair (that was fine). They provided (through Good Guys of Toledo) the detail job as part of it all and that's where the problem started. I found a car on the internet that I was interested in that was listed as being on their lot. I called their main line number... the guy who answered... the receptionist?? was totally knowledgeable about what they have on their lot. He even spoke to the specs of the car! This review is related to the service department. Simply the worst. Had a severe hesitation on hard acceleration that wasn't producing a diagnostic code. Took it in to have it looked at, knowing that there had been a low efficiency catalytic converter code for years. They diagnosed a clogged cat and wanted to charge me $1900 to replace it. I refused and had a mechanic friend help me with the repair. Didn't change a thing. After more messing around with it, I finally got it to throw a cylinder misfire code. I bought an ignition coil for $40 and the problem is gone. So they charged me $120 to misdiagnose my problem and would have been fine charging me $1900 to not fix it. We were traveling from Michigan to West Virginia when we hit a large piece of metal on the freeway. The metal went through the oil pan on my 1999 Lincoln Continental. I stopped at a gas station on Scio road and refilled the oil pan and went north to a place called Brondes Ford as recommended by the gas station attendant. We pulled up at the service garage with oil leaking everywhere. We explained what had happened and we were from out of town. The service manager brought our car right in for an inspection. They had the oil pan shipped in pronto the next morning, and did the replacement first thing. They must of asked us six times if they could be of service finding a hotel that night! Everybody at this dealership treated us great and made it a priority to get us back on the road. When I need a new Ford, I will drive from Michigan to visit this dealership an buy a new car. I got my 2018 Ford Focus in 2020 by October of 2020 something wasnt shifting right on it, took it in they figured it out fixed it because it was under my warranty. Here I am a year later took it in to have the same issue going on and got charged $90 for them to tell me they couldnt "find anything" and they hardly had the car long at all, I even told them to check what was fixed last time and they swore they did, but I know they didn't because the Car is doing THE SAME EXACT THING!! I even told them that it doesn't happen EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU ACCELERATE so you have to drive it more than just around the block, my boyfriend also asked to ride with them so he could point it out because there's no way they can't feel it doing it which he thinks it's in my second gear And my shifting sensor again. They want me to bring it in on Monday and told me I'll still be charged if they don't find it but won't let my boyfriend ride with them to make sure they feel what we are talking about. I think it's complete bull! I shouldn't be charged AGAIN FOR SOMETHING THAT IS CLEARLY NOTICEABLE AND NEEDS TO BE FIXED! ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS UNDER WARRANTY AND A MANUFACTURE ISSUE!!! I am absolutely PISSED OFF & FED UP WITH BRONDES FORD! I paid $740 dollars to have a problem fixed and a week later back in the shop for $1,700 dollars. They said it was fixed and I could pick it up a few days later { replaced water pump, timing belt, serpentine belt,half shaft mounts and nits, crank bolt. 3 weeks my escape sounds like a diesel engine, running like crap! Sunday a friend who's a ford mechanic looks at my car for me and finds there's only one bolt holding the water pump on. So Sunday my car gets towed back to Brondes. Monday comes says there working on it and have to replace a pulley now and wont be ready till Tuesday mind you that I work every day of the week 40 miles outside of oregon, ohio. I said to the man behind the desk, who's giving me a loaner car so I can get back and forth to work, since it was there fault for not doing it right the first time ! I had a very good experience purchasing a pick up. I am reluctant to go to dealerships, because I feel like I'm going to get the short end, which I may have, but I don't think so. The Salesman Rick was real personable and a nice guy, I know all sales people are, but with him it seemed genuine. I know about his brothers, his wife, what his plans were and how life changed them, and his parents a little, just from general conversation while we waited for finance. The lady in finance, I forgot her name, was super nice too. I pulled in at 6 PM knowing what I was looking for, went through a few trucks, had the papers signed and left as a truck owner at 8:50; that's lightening speed compared to my experiences with other dealers of my past, which hasnt been a lot, but about every 5 years over the past 32 years. Please, if you need repairs done on your vehicle, stay away from Brondes. I took my 2001 Ford Explorer there for some repairs. ( brakes, tune up, and a driver window that off its track) . I spent numerous times bringing my vehicle back, because they couldn't get it fixed right the first time, and I'm taking about each thing that needed repaired. 6 weeks and 2,200 dollars later it still dosen't run right, and there is still a clunking noise every once in a while when pressing on the brakes. I approached them several times about it and got the same story......"sorry sir , we can't find anything wrong. Anyone feeling the frustration? At that point I felt like I was just being brushed off, even trying to go to the top of this so called business, unfortunately with no luck. They just lost a good customer. We took our Ford Sport Trac into this dealership to get a service estimate on what it needed to get fixed. Upon pick up we were charged $107 dollars for the estimate that we never received. We were told to call back the next day to get the documents and pricing from a lady called Michelle. We did three days in a row and she happen to be out of the office. I called for the forth time which I got transferred on the phone SEVEN times before actually talking to her. She assured me that she would be emailing me the documents. Well guess what? No document were ever sent to me. We will be taking our business somewhere else. Sad when they could be getting business of potentially thousands of dollars, but won't be because of the lack of customer service and effort on their part. I purchased a 2003 Ford Escape that ran well and looked reasonably well until it didn't a week later. From what I read about difficult starts in Ford cars was a key problem. I called Brondes in Toledo to make an appointment for a Wednesday July 2nd at 9:30. I called a tow service that morning to meet that appointment. I was told later that day that more time was needed and they would get back to me the following Friday due to the 4th being a holiday. On that Friday they called and had to order the parts needed. Received a call on Monday to come pick up the car it was done. Went to the counter and paid and also received a copy of what the car needed in their analysis. While walking to the car my son read a statement saying "needs total windshield replacement" . We looked at each other and both said "why?" . Found the car got in and was "SHOCKED" to see the front windshield with 2 large cracks, one was completely across and the second one completely down. When starting the car and stopping to turn right the car started to shack. Continued down the road and it got worse. So now I have a car in MUCH worse shape than when I brought it in. I talked to James to voice my concerns regarding everything that happened. He was literally yelling at me that none of this was their fault. I told him I have pictures of the car and flawless windshield and he said "I don't care if you do!" . Now after paying $340. I have to wait another month for my SS to come and pay for a new windshield and take it to another shop because it's not driveable in this condition. This place is the worst place to take your vehicle for repairs I should've listen to myself from the first time I sent my vehicle there for repair under a warranty mechanic staff was poor communication I always had a call and try to get a update on my vehicle but they kept spinning me around saying that the warranty company was sent in a bad part so I said OK and then after the third time made telling me that the warranty company sent another bad part the warranty company ended up sending a regular mechanic in and said the part was good and next thing you know it was in stone had my vehicle back after being in the shop for four weeks paying out of pocket for rentals and then now can I put it back in the shop because it was the closest one to home and I gave them the benefit of doubt that things change nope I sent it in for a repair on my AC and heat system it took over a week and a half then I was fix then I called to tell me that they can't release my car because of a recall so now I'm taking my son out at 4o'clock in the morning in the cold because they're telling me that I can't get my vehicle until it's fixed and they said the part ain't gonna be ship until another week or two so now I'm here paying out of pocket again for rentals and they said that they were going to put me in a rentalStill have not got back to me Keep spinning me saying be patient with me we're trying to get you a rental now but that's every time I call he says that so now I'm going to go up there today either walk out with my vehicle or walk out with the rental hoping they might reimburse me some of my money but I highly doubt it but definitely do not take it there for service repairs I screwed up by doing it twice but I always try to make things right by giving people second chances they definitely did me wrong now I'm barely struggling to try to keep my wife going to work and me going to work and making sure my kids get to school safe not freezing into daycare but as of now I got to take my kids at four in the morning to the grandmothers because my wife can't take them because we're short on a vehicle right now and they still have not helped to put me in a vehicle yet why I got a brand new car sitting in the shop that even put it in there for the job I put it in there for is done but I guess it's not allowed to leave the shop until the recalls fixed read more

I normally don't write reviews but felt compelled to after reading a lot of negative ones. I'm a 60 yr old handicapped Ford retiree. I took my 2019 Escape Titanium in for an oil change and tire rotation that was due to me and to diagnose the check engine light that came on with less than 13k miles on it. I was greeted at the service entrance and taken care of right away. The waiting room chairs and tables were socially distanced. They did the oil change, rotation, and washed it. Jim the service mgr told me he had to order a part. It came in the next day, and I went in the following day for the installation. Again I was greeted by 2 gentlemen who were very courteous and helped me instantly. It took about an hour to install the part and when I got to my car it was washed again, and the interior was disinfected. For all you naysayers out there, I would take another look at Brondes.
