The blower on my 2012 Honda Accord was making a horrible sound. I wasn't getting adequate cooling. Turns out dog food from mice in my garage was packed in the blower unit. Dog food and funky small is gone. The rear tire had a broken belt ( thank you Michigan roads). With a new tire and front end alignment, my Accord drives like new. Safety Issue Ignored & Repeatedly Broken Promises! I brought my 2024 Toyota Highlander to Victory Honda Monroe on March 9 because the daytime running lights and high beams were not working--a serious safety concern. The dealership promised to have my vehicle ready on March 19, then March 27, and finally March 30, but missed every single deadline. They even called and promised to cover my first payment as compensation for the inconvenience, but later backed out of that promise. During discussions about the delays, the service manager claimed I "threatened him", even though all I said was: "You do what you gotta do, I'll do what I have to do with corporate." After finally getting my SUV back, no goodwill compensation or acknowledgment of the delays was offered. Communication was poor, accountability nonexistent, and the entire experience was extremely frustrating. I am escalating this issue with both Honda and Toyota corporate. I cannot recommend this dealership to anyone concerned about safety, honesty, or reliable service. read more

I like the honesty of the employees, particularly Andrew Dauer, Service Manager / Shane Frost Sales Manager / and Nick Murrary Service Advisor. I found that Jim Galofaro is listed today as the internet sales manager, but I found him to ignore emails and not return email inquiries. Mike Sterzer is the general manager. He emailed me and asked me how my appointment went with Shane Frost. When I answered him, I got a bounced email notice that Mike Sterzer had blocked me from contacting me. While I have a difficult time posting a truly negative review, as I have had far worse customer service at other dealerships (Honda or otherwise), my experience here has not been the best, either. I have continually had to call back after having my '21 Civic serviced here to have my bill adjusted, as there were items on the invoice that should not have been there or discounts that were not applied properly. I will say that the service manager has always been very understanding and willing to make it right with me. After the tech that did my oil change spilled oil on a mouse nest in the engine bay (that was left there for some reason I can't fathom) making an awful, yet thankfully ultimately harmless smell on the way home, I was promised my next maintenance for no charge. The staff apparently did not read the note on my file and I was charged. The maintenance after that, the staff did not believe me and I had to insist that there was a note on my file. I was also charged for a replacement 12V battery that should have been covered as it failed within the 3y/36k factory warranty, even after the writer stated it would be covered. I was immediately refunded once the service manager looked into it. At my last service, I had a coupon from Honda for 15% off maintenance. Despite this being an official coupon from American Honda Motor corporate, the invoice only shows a discount of 12%. I'm hardly bothered by the difference of a few dollars off, but the fact that these mistakes (or sneaky charges, whichever you want to believe) have become a regular part of my business here has me reluctant to trust them again with the upkeep and safety of my vehicle. if I could give a negative review it would be a -10. I took my car in several weeks ago because my dashboard was lighting up. I explained to the tech that I had my fuel pump replaced due to a recall at Genthe Honda. After waiting 1 1/2 hours, I was told that Genthe didn't fix it properly and it was going to cost me $575.00. I said I didn't think so because it was a recall and still under warrant. I called Genthe and told them what was happening. They told me to bring my car to them and they would fix it. Victory made me pay $140.00 in order to get my car Because they supposedly did a"diagnostic" on my car. I later found out that not only were they going to charge me but they also put in for the warranty claim. A little double dipping I think. I called the district manager several times with no response. My next move is to call the Attorney Generals office and report Victory for fraud. And to think all I wanted was my $140.00 back and an apology read more

The guys in the service department have been great. They've given me, a newbie to snow country, great advice. When the brakes were squealing they explained it could be due to dampness. They checked and my brakes are in top notch condition. Unlike my previous experience with dealers out of state, these guys don't try to sell me what I don't need. First time I had service at Victory Honda. Very professional. Explained what they did for a recall and I was out of there in 45 minutes.

I have taken my car to be serviced here numerous times. The staff is always responsive and helpful. I can drop off my car, get a loaner car, and be out the door in 15 minutes. The repairs are done well, although the my estimate was $300 off from the final cost. Customer service in the sales department isn't as great. Instead of being solutions-oriented, the receptionist was ok with saying "I don't know". She didn't offer to find anyone else who could assist. The last time I entered the sales department, no one greeted me and I had to interupt staff from their conversation in order to be assisted. read more

0/10 would never recommend, I made it very clear when I was buying my first vehicle from a dealership that I needed something reliable for my son who's on the way and I, well obviously that didn't happen because I listened to the sales man (idiot me I know) this car has had issue from the beginning, at the time of my test drive it pulled to the right hard, Gary (my sales rep) informed me the pull was normal and due to the fact I had driven larger vehicles (an f250) before the Malibu, I wasn't used to the feeling and it did not pull, well then they had to replace some parts and fix the car and that had taken a week, so clearly there was a pull, I should have known at this point I didn't want this car and it would just be trouble, but papers were already signed, and I'm a young woman so frankly I just didn't know any better, but now here I am with a brand new Malibu in lots of debt looking for a new car, avoid this place if you are a young woman or anyone who appears vulnerable or maybe just avoid Gary but definitely keep your guard up, absolutely unprofessional and makes the whole dealership look pretty slimey read more

Finance person (Gavin Riegslecker) left out very important information when selling extended warranty information. He was very pushy (which is why I initially agreed). I told him numerous times I wasn't interested. One of the reasons being all three of their locations are about 40 minutes from me. Too far to drive for maintenance. He pushed and pushed though. When I went back a couple days later to take delivery I asked to not go through with the warranty. He told me the dealer had already paid for the warranty and I couldn't cancel it. My car was a cash purchase...why would the dealer pay for a warranty for a car they hadn't been paid for yet?!? Until the car is actually paid for it isn't technically sold. When I originally ordered the car I was given an approximate delivery date only for it to be pushed out over a month (which I guess is normal now days). I had to wait a month for window tint and remote start because they have these things done by third party. Wasted money on the remote start. It doesn't even work and the dealer insist it is normal (a Honda thing they said). I would not recommend buying from Victory Honda in Monroe and have made sure to tell everyone I do not recommend this dealer read more

I have had my car for over a month and I still have dealer plates. At least 5 trips down to the dealership over 10 phone calls. They don't answer emails, they don't return phone calls, it's been over a month since I purchased the vehicle and they said I still have to come down and fill out MORE paperwork before I can get my plates. That will be my sixth visit to fill out paperwork. Not only am I contacting Honda corporate direct about this dealership and obviously publicly dragging them on every form of social media known to man, but I'm also getting a decal made up for the back window of my brand new honda. Watch out - not CPO... I am generally not a person who writes reviews. But I wish such a review existed for me before doing business with Monroe Honda. So to help others before they potentially make a mistake, I feel compelled to share my experience. I purchased a "Certified Pre-Owned" 2017 Ridgeline Black Edition. I traveled a couple hundred miles to complete the transaction because these vehicles can be difficult to find. The negotiation was painless and fair, or so I thought. Here were the issues I encountered. Individually any one of these is not too big of a deal, but when you combine them, it is cause for concern. First, for some reason in transferring the license plates from my prior vehicle to this vehicle, the dealership had the tabs and state registrations sent to their office. And then they never told me they had them. In the meantime, my plates expired. Weeks later when I finally contacted them to question whether the paperwork was submitted, they mailed the papers to me. This seems highly unusual. Also, I have yet to receive the title to the vehicle. For now I'm assuming the state is being exceptionally slow. But it is alarming that I still do not have title to the vehicle I paid for. Second, it seems that zero attention was given to the appearance of the vehicle: Scratched display unit Badly scratched door Spill marks and leather seat stains Improper non-OEM floor mats Carpet stained with salt residue Garbage left in random places These issues can happen to used cars. But should not happen to a one year old "certified" vehicle. Third, the prior owner's personal information was not cleared from the navigation or HomeLink. This should be quite concerning. Fourth, the front windows were fully aftermarket tinted which is illegal in the state of Michigan without medical documentation. This should have been removed. All of this calls into question whether the certified checklist was followed at all, especially with the important mechanical items. Be advised that CPO scams are becoming more common because it allows for a higher sales price. After receiving a solicitation to leave a positive review online, I first communicated all of these issues to both the Customer Service Manager and the General Manager of the dealership. Neither ever responded. Hence my review here. Keep in mind of course that this may not be representative of your potential experience at this dealership. But with so many Honda dealers in the general area, I would strongly suggest going elsewhere. Based on the conditions and processes I've discovered, this place may not be a 'going concern'. Therefore, considering the significant cost and commitment vehicles can be, you'd probably be wise in the long run to establish a partnership with someone else. read more

BUYER BEWARE, they pulled a total BAIT & SWITCH! If you see them list a car with a price that's too good to be true, then it is. I wasted a trip from Rochester to Monroe to see a car that was already gone from the lot! I made an appointment with a salesman, Jim G., to see a specific car listed on the Internet. I asked him why the price was so low and asked if anything was wrong with the car. He said nothing was wrong, it was perfectly fine. I arrived to the appointment on time. He told me that a couple had just walked in and he needed someone else to help me while he helped them. I asked if he made 2 appointments at the same time, and he said they were walk-ins. Hmm. Bigger commission, perhaps? Whatever the reason, he had the "other Jim" help me. Long story short, here is the body of the listing I saved: "AWD and CLEAN CARFAX! ONE OWNER!. 65k Miles! Dare to compare! Who could say no to a simply great SUV like this charming-looking 2005 Honda CR-V? It scored the top rating in the IIHS frontal offset test. New Car Test Drive said it ''...with its expanded cargo and passenger volume and more mature styling...has not only caught up to its competition, but passed most of it...'' With the low mileage and meticulous upkeep on this CR-V, you can count on hearing the purr of its engine for years to come. Don't forget to ask about our Free Pick Up and Delivery program for both sales and service!" When I asked to see the car that I drove 125 miles and 2.5 hours round-trip to see, I was told that it was "all the way in the back of the lot" and others were closer. They tried to sell me a CRV that was a year older and had 25,000 more miles for the sale price as the one I wanted. Then when I pointed that out, they said the one I wanted was "dirty" and "had changed hands several times" and had "serious mechanical issues", in complete contrast to the listing. I asked why they would have a dirty car on their lot. I asked them why they didn't realize the mechanical issues earlier, and they said "from the outside it looked great, but once we looked under the hood, we realized it was in really bad shape". WHAT? You're a car dealership. Do you judge your trade-ins on the paint job and just put them out on the lot?? Lies. I insisted on seeing the car because I smelled something fishy. So as it turns out, THE CAR WASN'T EVEN THERE and had been shipped out earlier in the morning, BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT WAS EVEN MADE to see this "gem." The mythical car, a day after I raised a stink about it, is currently still listed online. So if you're looking for a pretend vehicle that is too good to be true, buy it here. Oh, and after telling 5 people this story, 2 of them said they experienced the same game at the same dealership!! read more

My husband & I had the worst experience ever with Victory Honda Monroe. We test drove 2 Honda CRV'S which both clearly had issues. After telling the salesman I wasn't interested in either, he held my own car keys hostage, pulled up various financial institutions to hit a pull on my credit report, called his boss to speak to us, and we had to again say "not interested" before getting my car keys back. These two salesman were the epitome of the sleezy car dealer & were a couple of snakes trying to sell us snake oil (defective vehicles). Never again will we go back. I ended up finding the best sales team & experience ever at Yark in Toledo & purchased my vehicle from Yark! Victory Honda Monroe gets a zero rating from us! This dealership is the type of dealership that gives used car salesmen the bad name. I'm currently selling my car and someone from the sales staff at this location called me and told me that they were buying cars right now and that they had a customer looking for the type of car I was selling. The dealership told me over the phone that they could give me the $9800 I was looking for and to go ahead and bring the car in. Mind you, the KBB values for the car I'm selling is almost $12000 so I said why not drive over there and see what she is talking about. After about 45 minutes Mike came back to be and offered me $6500. What a waste of time and a shady way to get me to come in the office. They messed up in processing my title. it took almost a month to receive the title just to realize that it was defective and did not include my lienholder's information. I cannot believe I took off work early to drive to Monroe to look at a vehicle for what horrible customer service we just received. We get to Monroe and are 5 minutes from the dealership to get a call saying the car we came to see is not yet on the lot. My husband agrees to wait a " few minutes ". After sitting for 30 minutes we ask how muck longer and are told about 30 minutes. After another 30 minutes we ask how much longer as we have a 3 year old who is hungry. At this time " JIMMY G" tells us that "we can leave doesn't matter to him". Really????!!! At which point we absolutely are leaving because his nasty obvious uncaring attitude definitely tipped the scales and we will not be buying a car from him. Very rude completely inconsiderate of our time and completely unapologetic. Absolutely unacceptable customer service!! We are in the market to purchase a vehicle, as is my daughter, as is my mother. BEST experience buying a car I have ever had. I was interested in a used SUV, called to make an appointment. I told him that if the vehicle was not there (based on the previous review) they would not even be able to show me another vehicle. Jim Galafaro (our salesman) assured me it would be there and he would have it cleaned and ready for me when we got there. When we arrived the car was ready, sitting right in front on the showroom, and was definitely as described. I LOVED the SUV, my husband didn't like it much (not because anything was wrong, he just didn't like it). We expressed interest in a mini-van, they only had one older one on the lot. Jim went online, found an Odyssey we liked at the Plymouth dealership, and had them drive it right down for us. We loved it, but my husband was concerned about one feature. The manager came out to us, said she wanted us happy, and made us a PHENOMENAL deal on a brand NEW 2012 Odyssey EX-L. The service and respect we received were outstanding. They did everything they could to make this experience work for us, but all the concessions were FOR us, even to the point of us leaving with the Odyssey but still owing money, since I had forgotten my checkbook and there is a cap on the amount you can charge on a credit card. In addition, thought they worked hard to please us and make a sale (of course, it's what they do), I never felt "pressured". Jim truly listened to us, and then left us alone a lot so we could talk and make decisions. Also. Curtis, who writes up the contracts etc, was extremely honest in reviewing options with us, telling us options that were really NOT necessary and just thrown out money (two I would have gotten had he not explained why we didn't really need it). All in all, I HIGHLY recommend Victory Honda of Monroe and will be returning here for my future vehicle purchases. read more

am very upset. I am so happy I did not give a review right away, because it certainly went sour after I left the dealership. I brought a 2017 accord and Jodi was my car salesperson. She told me my car payment would not be due until June. I am going off of that, therefore I did not think to ask about it in my due date in my paperwork. I constantly texting Jodi for my account information so I can get a head start on my payments, since they were not due until June, but each time she kept giving me the run around. I just got a call this morning today saying my car payment is 15 days late, so of course I immediately text Jodi "H, I thought my car payment was due in June" Was this a mistake" Wassup" Let me know", she text back "There is no way I could known your due date . . . etc" So I get upset and say I wish I would of known you did not know that way I could of asked the dealership, but I was going off what she said. She replies back "Well after 45 days is when your payment due" Okay how would I of know if this is my first time buying a car through a dealership! and if that was the case then that is what Jodi should have said instead of saying my payment would be due in June!!!! I am very upset with the way she talked to me and the false information she gave me. I have all the texts if anyone like too see them. You know those stories of slimy car salesmen that your parents told you? This place lives up to them. Personal anecdotes of woeful experiences at car dealerships (or anywhere really) are tiresome, so I won't get into too many details here. I will say, however, that "Jim G" and Harvey, the general manager, tried to pull a classic bait and switch routine with me - they quoted me a great price for a car; when I showed up the car was no longer available (of course) and instead they tried to pressure me into buying an alternative (and inferior) car for more money. Super dirty sales technique and a waste of my time. Hope they don't pull this on other people, but I suspect experience has taught them that this trick can pay off. I ended up purchasing a car elsewhere. I'd advise you to stay far, far away from this place. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Our experience was one of the worst I've ever had -- and not just car-buying. The price listed on line sounded too good to be true, and that should have been our first clue. We drove 2 1/2 hours one way to see this car, and from the moment we walked in, salesman Jim Galafaro was pushy, impatient and unprofessional. The encounter started with Jim asking what we were trading in. (Remember, we came to TEST DRIVE a car.) He then asked us how much we owed on our "trade-in," which I thought was pretty presumptuous and rude. Coincidentally, the trade-in offer we received was just over ($50 to be exact) what we owed and $4,000 under the Blue Book value!!! The man actually refused to shake my husband's hand because we decided against buying the vehicle. Actually, the car wasn't bad (although it wasn't nearly as nice as the on-line ad described), but after dealing with Jim Galafaro, there was no way I was going to spend my money at Victory Honda. It was a total horse and pony show, with the proverbial "used car salesman" pitch throughout. I didn't know people still tried to sell cars that way. read more
