Heather, Brandi and…read moreJudy. @A1AUTOCENTER I had my vehicle looked at by a shop located in Flat Rock who quoted me several thousands for an entire replacement of rack n pinion... Wanting a second opinion and feeling something was off (way off) i found A1 Auto on Monroe and Friends and brought it in. The tech came out with a odd look on his face and said "I don't know why that other shop wanted to replace the entire rack n pinion, we can only find a leaking power steering pump. At best it might just need some new hoses. At worst it needs a $500 pump and that's it!!" First time visiting this shop and they've saved me several thousand dollars already. Why do some of these other shops find woman as easy targets to rip off? HOW is that a good business practice? A1 Auto Center's motto is WE'RE LADY FRIENDLY and I AM LOVING IT! About 30 minutes later more workers came in and one of them walked up to me and asked for my key. There was no discussion of what type of oil change (ex. synthetic, etc) or pricing. Approximately 10 minutes later he asked for all my info (name, address, phone#, email) and gave a price-indicating they were finished with the oil change. I asked if the Yelp check-in coupon could be used, but he stated they already changed the oil with all synthetic and the coupon was for half-and-half. I didn't feel he was being rude in any way, I just wish there was more dialog and that I had a choice. Overall, it was a decent straight-no chaser experience.
