I had a fantastic experience with Friendly Ford in Monroe, MI! The staff truly lives up to their name--everyone was welcoming, knowledgeable, and attentive from start to finish. They made the entire buying process simple and stress-free, answering all my questions and helping me find the perfect vehicle at a fair price. I highly recommend Friendly to anyone looking for a trustworthy dealership that genuinely puts its customers first! read more

The experience I had with the salesman was terrible. I took the truck for a drive and that was not an issue. I asked him for negotiation on the price and he would not work with me. He even had the nerve to ask me to go to talk with his boss himself. I asked him since he was the salesman he is supposed to advocate for me. He did nothing for me. Either his way or the highway. I thanked him and left. I found this experience terrible and the salesman unprofessional. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone or the salesperson as well. I think his name was Carlo. read more

My son was about 4 hours from home with his 2020 Explorer when it began making a loud grinding noise in the back wheel well. I called Friendly Ford and spoke with Dave. He said to have him bring it right over. They were able to diagnose the issue, repair the loose bolt, and get my son on his way back home safely. I truly appreciate the actions of all the people at Friendly Ford who worked on the car. read more

Drove an hour and a half to get a specific car at this dealership and they did not disappoint! Caden was a great salesman, he went above and beyond to make sure our deal was done in under 2 hours from walking in the door. Kim in Finance was so friendly and really knows her stuff! Very pleased with my experience and my new car! read more

Service department tried to tell me I needed all these things fixed on my car without even looking at it. front end aligned, cabin filter, etc. my car only has 34,000 miles on it. new spark plugs. I declined and will have the dealership that I bought the car from give me a second opinion. They told me I didn't need any of the things that "friendly " recommended. horribly unfriendly. And car wasn't even washed afterwards. Probably because I didn't fall for the stuff they were trying to sell me. Dave is not friendly and is only there to tell you that you need stuff that you don't need. Corporate will be hearing from me and the Ford dealer that I bought the car from. Treat people like they are dumb. Shame The ladies at the cashier desk were super friendly. read more

This dealership has to have to worst customer service out of any dealership i've been to. I have to leave voicemails for a damn oil change and no one even gets back to you. read more

While I can say this dealership has been very good in the past, they definitely have fallen off. Long, long wait times for service. No call backs. Very hIgh price markups on parts. Customers are not their concern, except as sources of revenue. They have become complacent due to the large number of Ford retirees in Monroe. It is a franchise Ford could well do without. read more

My F150 has an issue with the transmission at 43K miles. They confirmed it was still under warranty and I would have to make an appointment to have a technician take it for a test drive to evaluate. There was absolutely no mention of an fees involved, just they wanted to "check it out" to confirm the issue which would be fixed under warranty. I was encouraged to drop the vehicle off the night before and they would call me after it was looked at. When I got the call after they looked at it, they said it needed spark plugs and a trasnmission re-learn strategy for known shift concerns and said the cost would be $1,610.58. None of the work would be covered under warranty. I declined them doing any work on my vehicle but they insisted on $193.55 for the diagnosis. They 100% led me to believe they just wanted to "test drive" it to confirm a warranty claim. They NEVER made the slightest indication that it could / would result in a $193.55 diagnosis charge. They did "get" me and I wrote it off as a lesson learned. It cost me $193.55 but it cost them a far greater amount because I would absolutely never go back to that dealership again. read more

Came in to get a basic oil change and a tire rotation. usually a job like this would take a competent person 30 minute. but it takes these clowns over 2 hours. on top of that there were multiple times where our estimated time was incorrect. For anybody looking for oil changes I'd suggest going to a specific oil change shop and then to a tire shop to get your tires rotated. You'll probably save 1.5 hours of your day! read more

I purchased a car from here and had problems with my tire the next day. I called to see if they would be willing to do something about that and without any hassle James & Kaden took care of it and made the situation right when they could have said no as the sale was final. they were great to work with and extremely friendly staff throughout. I would come back in the future to purchase another car. if you're in the market for a car I definitely recommend checking out friendly ford of Monroe! read more

Terrible collision service. Dropped off my mom's car two weeks ago for minor repairs. Was supposed to be done in one week. Two weeks later and no car. They called Friday and said it was finished and we drove all the way there and the lady in the office said that it's not done, doesn't know who called me. Huh? We won't be back after we finally get her car. Still waiting. read more

Here's a PSA for my friends in Monroe. Do not trust Friendly Ford's service department. I took my F-150 in to have the brakes inspected on 10 Feb and they reported 10mm of lining. Today a qualified dealer told me I had less than 1mm on my rear brakes. I wonder if Friendly Ford also missed my broken front springs that day when they allegedly inspected my truck? read more

My first lease here was fine. The second time, they jerked me around. Went through all the paperwork and then told me I wasn't eligible to turn in my first lease yet. Then a few weeks later they say I can, but don't have a vehicle I want and claim they can't get one. I went to another dealership. Tried to give them another shot this time around and they claimed I couldn't turn my car in yet. Went to another dealership and there was no problem. I don't understand sales people not wanting to make a sale, but that's apparently what they have here. They will not be getting another shot from me. In this case it's two strikes and you're out. read more

I was able to test drive a vehicle without needing a babysitter (much appreciated). The sales associate I worked with, Larry, was very helpful and was not pushy or abrasive. After my order was placed, he kept in contact with me, and answered my e-mails quickly and efficiently. read more

We are really pleased with our Ford Edge purchased at Friendly Ford Lincoln in Monroe. Mike Brown, the salesman we work with at FF, was amazing again. A true professional in every way, Mike was quick to respond to all questions, concerns and requests. Not the over-aggressive type of salesman, Mike lets the product do the talking and is eager to help when asked. I'll always go back to Mike Brown when I'm looking for a Ford product because my experiences over the years have been totally positive. James Stasak, another team member at FF, also was extremely helpful in our decision process. James heads up the Pre-Owned Department and did an outstanding job of finding a newer, low-mileage Edge which was exactly what we were looking for. So far we very pleased with the Edge performance. read more

Friendly Ford Lincoln is the place to go. Friendly service folks help out and make appts. now.. So convenient. Oil changes and tire rotations are fast and get a car wash. Waiting room is great even a place for kids. Coffee and hot chocolate, cold water and snacks, they really treat the customer right. I had a used vehicle picked out with Caden. I took it for a test drive. Came in filled out paperwork to finance a loan (Wednesday). I asked my salesman to hold the vehicle and he told me not to worry that he doesn't see anybody buying it anytime soon. I then decided to reach out to My own credit Union to see what I could qualify for just in case they would have better rates. I got approved but they wanted the purchase amount to make sure it met the NADA vehicle pricing guidelines. I was not available Thursday or Friday morning (which I explained my circumstances). On Friday after asking for a purchase price, at least four times, I was given every other excuse besides the purchase price. He even wanted me to add my husband on their loan application to get approved which makes zero since to me given the circumstances and I make plenty enough money to get a auto loan on my own. Then I find out he let another salesman offer the vehicle to somebody else but then tells me if the customer doesn't buy it he'll send me the purchase agreement tomorrow (Saturday). I know my credit isn't A++ plus but it's still impacts my credit score and why waste someone's time and how do you do that to a customer. They didn't even give me a chance to use my own bank, which makes me think they were getting a huge deal by using their own lenders or trying to rip me off. This is very bad business and unprofessional to do to somebody. read more

I have a 2013 Ford C-Max, The electrical went haywire, or what I thought was electrical, we had it towed in on a Tuesday morning... Right when they opened... Got my car back the following Monday. My car didn't even get looked at until that Saturday... With all those factors in place I was very pleased with the service and people at Friendly Ford. As frustrating as it was to wait that long for my car, The thing that made it OK was how pleasant they are to deal with. They explained to me they were down to technicians... Life happens... Still would take my car there read more

It took some time to get the car into the shop because of Covid 19 but was totally understandable. I want to give a big thank you to Craig Rumberger. This service advisor is the real deal. He listen to what I had to say and took very good notes for the tech that would be working on my car. We talked a few times as Craig kept me in the loop while the car was being worked on. Craig called with the price the car was fixed right the first time. Thank you Craig for a great experience with Friendly Ford. I also have had great experienced with salesman Michael Brown he sold me my 2020 ford fusion . Long story short Friendly always goes that extra mile to keep you satisfied whether it be Service ,Parts or buying a brand new car. read more

They should call this place "Really Unfriendly Ford". My wife and I were going to pay full price for a used Escape. I went to get the check for the down payment and came back and asked for a hitch to be put on it. You wouldn't believe how the Used Car Sales Manager treated me. He blew a gasket and told me off while I was walking out of the place. Disgusting. I am disabled too. read more

Brought my Focus in for a transmission recall, picked it up and the issue is still not fixed, was told that the problem is within the normal limits. I went here a few times to get my Focus fixed, because I had some issues a regular auto shop wouldn't be able to take care of very easily. I was having weird electrical problems that I knew the Ford dealership could diagnose (whether I would have them fix the problem or not). I just wanted to know what was wrong. My car was starting sometimes and running fine, but then out of nowhere, the battery would be dead. I explained everything to the dealership, and they agreed to run a full electrical inspection. The prime suspect was the battery. They told me NOTHING was wrong with my car, because it passed all their tests, despite me telling them countless times that something was wrong. They charged me $90 for this service! The guy said it was running fine, and I went there to pick it up. I thought maybe they actually fixed the problem by disconnecting, cleaning, and troubleshooting everything. When I arrived to take my car away, it was dead in the parking lot. They took my car back in the garage and "worked" on it for another two days. In the end, they told me they couldn't figure out what was wrong... a Ford dealership that sells and services their own products couldn't fix or even tell me what was wrong with my car. It started when I picked it up the second time, and I left. When I demanded a refund of my $90, I wasn't given one since they insisted they serviced my car as requested and charged the standard rate. I took my car to an electronic automotive shop for a free inspection. They diagnosed the problem in five minutes: the alternator, while functioning, was intermittently faulty and also killed a portion of the battery. I paid them to replace the alternator and picked up a battery a little bit later. My car never had a problem of this nature again... nor did I ever go back to this dealership. Mindbogglingly bad service. read more

Personally, I don't find the service staff friendly. I simply asked where to find the code for the keypad. The service writer was greedy. Quite frankly, I was put off by his attitude and I walked away. I just moved into the area and was looking for a dealer to service my truck. I would rather drive to another dealership than to take my car or truck there. I highly suggest finding a more reputable dealership. read more

In May I called to schedule a recall repair. I was told it would be a 3 month wait for appointment, but the repair was short and they'd try to have it done by end of business day. So, August comes and I drop it off for repair. I get a call 2 hrs later saying the "inspection" was done and I could come get it. I asked if the repair was done and he said it was not. I would have to come back another day for the repair. I asked why I was not told that an "inspection" needed to be done first and why it took 3 months just to get it inspected. No answer. I asked why I was told that I should have the car back by the end of the day if they didn't intend on repairing it that day. No answer. Since they attached my VIN to their shop for the repair, I can't even take it to another Ford dealership for the recall repair. I asked if I was stuck with them and they said yes. So, if you have to have a recall repair done, don't go here. If you need another type of repair, consider finding a good certified independent mechanic. I've never had this issue with independent mechanics who are very up front with what needs done and when it will be done. This was a typical dealership who thinks that their time is more important than yours. Save yourself some time and aggrevation...go somewhere else! read more

Hello we bought a 2015 dodge challenger drove 3 to get hours there and took it for a ride when we got back to the dealership we smelled antifreeze the sales person said we must have spilled it during our inspection it will burn off OK then we said what about the windshield with all the chips in it (5) chips he said take it or leave it angina WOW ok then he said we're closed do you want it or not WOW ok. So we bought the car the next day I called Nichole the owners daughter I told her that the windshield has chips all over it she said oh well there's nothing she will do about it I said we smell antifreeze and she said your techs can fix it under powertrain warranty which it still has. So long story is the timing cover is leaking on both sides which should have been seen from the inspection right ok so I take it in and it also needs a radiator 600.00 to fix it.The timing cover leak is covered under factory warranty but not the radiator or labor So I called Nichole the owners daughter and she said there's NOTHING SHE WILL DO WOW you signed all the paperwork and that's the way it is then she told me to have my Attorney call hers Attorney some kind of customer service right well looks like I buy a radiator and eat the labor to THANK YOU FRINDLY FORD BUYER BEWARE. My son took his F-150 here for service 6/19/17 for SYNC and USB issues. They said it would be done 6/21/17. Today is 6/29/17 and we still don't have the vehicle back. The manager admitted that the car sat for a few days and they just ordered a part 6/26/17, but we still don't have the truck back. I filed a complaint with Ford and their agent took it as dealership feedback so another day was lost. Last night I filed a complaint again and was told to call the manager who already told me the truck sat and wasn't ready. Very dissatisfied. I wish I could put a no star rating. read more

If I could give no stars, I would. Here's my experience so far... The actual purchase experience was smooth. I enjoyed my new C-Max for three full weeks before it died in our garage before I'd even made my first payment. The roadside assistance experience was smooth. The person I spoke with on the phone was courteous and professional. The car was picked up in a timely manner. I emailed our salesman to alert him to the problem and express my disappointment and extreme unhappiness; he expressed sympathy and said to let him know if there was anything he could do. I had borrowed my husband's car to get to work. Neither he nor I heard from the dealership, so after several hours, I emailed our salesman again to ask about the status of our car. (Have I mentioned it was three weeks old and dead?) He wondered if I'd called the service department. You know, the one located about 100 feet from his desk. When I told him I'd had this crazy notion that someone would contact me, rather than having to chase down information myself, he did say he'd look into it. The car was repaired later that day, but because I had borrowed my husband's car, we were unable to pick it up until the next morning. As I mentioned to our salesman, if we'd wanted to buy an unreliable car with problems, we would have gone with a GM vehicle. The fact is, we respected Ford for not taking a government bailout and wanted to demonstrate that in a concrete way. This could have been handled so very much better. Once our dead three-week-old car had been picked up, the dealership could have called to say it arrived. They could have provided a loaner. They could have called with a repair report and an ETA for completion. They could have offered to bring the car to us so we would be no more inconvenienced than we already had been. They could have apologized for the fact that we had been inconvenienced. None of that happened, and as a result, I'm left feeling rather bilious toward Ford in general and toward Friendly Ford in particular. Will I ever buy another Ford? Too soon to tell. Will I ever buy from Friendly Ford? If this experience is any indication of what I can expect, not on your life. read more
