Examples: I have a wavy wall, it took them days to correct the paint throughout the house, they flat refused to match my craftsman trim, they forgot my vented kitchen hood, vetoed my transom (they don't even know what that is), failed plumbing inspection three times and nearly blew up my house. (I'm not embellishing) Had to install the cabinets twice (ordered incorrectly and hung at the wrong height), the rough plumbing is so poorly done that the knobs don't sit right and turn lop-sided; failed to contain the renovation dust which covered even stuff inside cabinets and drawers throughout the house. The cleaning crew came multiple times and I still had to hire my own at a cost of $360, to get all the ceiling fans, fixtures, floors, etc. finally clear of dust and paint splatters. They scratched my hardwoods and damaged my stove. To top it off, they stopped paying the subs and one of them put a lien on my house, EVEN though, i was up to date on my payment arrangement. (Yes, that's totally legal, for some reason!) The drama continues as I need help correcting some issues that i don't feel I should have to live with. As a homeowner, it's been surprisingly hard to find contractors that meet my criteria, but Innovations Touch met them all! Although I have larger projects planned in mind, I hired them for some smaller projects to see how they'd do, especially after hearing horror stories of larger renovation projects being handled poorly. My townhouse was built in 1981 and needed some repairs. Innovations Touch installed a custom guard rail at the attic hatch, installed some new window screens, fixed the catwalk in the attic, did some window siding and wall repairs and completed some behind-the-walls plumbing work. During the whole process, they set expectations well, did a great, detailed job of the work, exceeded my expectations, was fair in price relative to the quality of the work and expediency, and even cleared up a slight miscommunication we had very professionally with no ego or attitude. I was very impressed. Given they literally met all of my criteria, I trust them completely now and it feels good to have an "I know a contractor guy" for renovations for myself and others now. But, after several weeks without a cohesive plan, we booked an appointment with BJ Smith. That changed everything! We brought in our cabinet doors, our floor tile, paint samples and tile samples we picked up along or journey and laid it out for her. It was a mess... She looked over everything and said "ok, we can do this. It's going to be beautiful!" She told us why certain pieces weren't working together, told us to repaint and helped us find the right color. She taught us what we needed to look for when we went shopping for countertops and even let us being a sample back so she could give her final thumbs up. She helped us match everything with the perfect tile and brought the whole look together. We couldn't be happier or more impressed. BJ is the hidden gem in this store! Chewy, Annabelle and Chris at the Mansfield Tx store were amazing, very helpful and tried to do what was within their job descriptions to help but, F&D policies, process and procedure are not consumer friendly, not consistent with what is stated, promoted on their website consistentl. To make a king story short, they found the "discontinued" flooring in three (3) different states, $450.00 for the flooring, and shipped BECAUSE THEY DON'T SHIP... charged $450 per store for over $1,200.00 for Shipping. Highway robbery and raping their customer. I ONLY did so to save time. However, I still need flooring for four (4) other rooms and F&D manager would rather loose money, approximately $2,000 or more in sales, than expense the freight. Hell, they didn't bother to send the product back to main warehouse to ship to a store. Want that money... bottom line, they lost money. The store manager wasnof no help, so he can keep working hard and if I were you, be careful and spend your money wisely... else where.

I asked them to send their top-notch expert technician, and I was very fortunate that they sent Jason and his excellent assistant (Ricardo) to my home the next day. They carefully removed (and disposed of) my old water heater and did a beautiful job of installing the new one (it was made by A.O. Smith Corporation). The installation job required several hours but it was clearly done properly. During the entire installation process, Jason kept me well informed. The project manager and even the owner were available to respond to questions seven days a week. At the end of every day they provided a progress report along with what to expect the following day. They made regular visits to my house to inspect the work in progress. Even after completion of the project they stayed in touch to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. All the workers were courteous and professional. Each day they carefully cleaned the work and adjacent areas. At the end of the project a housecleaning service thoroughly cleaned and touched up. It amazes me how other companies and individuals didn't respond to my inquiries or ghosted me after promising to provide a quote. Importantly, ICO is local with brick and mortar offices in the metroplex.
