What really impressed me was that Jake worked the cost of the work they had already completed into the replacement toilet, which saved me a significant amount of money. Examples: I have a wavy wall, it took them days to correct the paint throughout the house, they flat refused to match my craftsman trim, they forgot my vented kitchen hood, vetoed my transom (they don't even know what that is), failed plumbing inspection three times and nearly blew up my house. (I'm not embellishing) Had to install the cabinets twice (ordered incorrectly and hung at the wrong height), the rough plumbing is so poorly done that the knobs don't sit right and turn lop-sided; failed to contain the renovation dust which covered even stuff inside cabinets and drawers throughout the house. The cleaning crew came multiple times and I still had to hire my own at a cost of $360, to get all the ceiling fans, fixtures, floors, etc. finally clear of dust and paint splatters. They scratched my hardwoods and damaged my stove. To top it off, they stopped paying the subs and one of them put a lien on my house, EVEN though, i was up to date on my payment arrangement. (Yes, that's totally legal, for some reason!) The drama continues as I need help correcting some issues that i don't feel I should have to live with. From the very beginning they rush you, make you sign something to only work with them (sketchy, red flag) and then they do mediocre work. They're going to take advantage of you and your home when you're in an emergency type situation. As immoral as they come. They messed up my bathroom tile, then made me feel bad when I asked them to do it right. As if I was asking too much when they didn't do it right in the first place? They also installed a random circular silver drain in the shower, when I asked for and ordered a square gold drain. Hello? The owner, Michael, simply chalked it up to "hiring workers that don't speak English." If that doesn't tell you all you need to know... The attention to detail and doing a decent, not even good, job is just not there. They didn't finish caulking behind the toilet or on top of the counter. They scratched the paint off of 3 doors, and refused to compensate or correct. They got dirt all over the walls and even got paint on my front door and hallway tile. They littered cigarette butts and a giant sponge (???) in my front yard. They left an entire garbage can of trash in my front yard. They even messed up my garage door, when that is an area of the house they were NOT authorized to do ANY work in. Who knows where else they were messing around while I wasn't home? When I asked them to remove the master toilet, I specifically and repeatedly asked them to cover the hole in the ground. When I arrived home two days later, I walked in to find the sewage hole completely gaping open, releasing toxic sewage fumes into my home and bedroom. Unbelievably thoughtless, careless, and downright hazardous/dangerous. They started trying to charge us hundreds of dollars at the end for things we already discussed, and then when we tried to talk to the owner, he basically said he'd just hand us over to his lawyer. He knows he is taking advantage of us, so he didn't want to discuss the money details with us. You can see in the attached videos/photos that they also threaten to take legal action against us, should we post an honest review. They don't have any basis to do so, but just want to scare customers into silence. That's why they don't have any other bad reviews on here. It's too late for me, but please, save yourself. When we initially had our bathroom remodeled, everything seemed great. We were happy with the finished product and had no complaints about the installation. Unfortunately, about four months after the remodel, we started noticing mold growing in and underneath the caulk along the entire bottom perimeter of the shower, where the walls meet the shower base. This is especially concerning because this is a brand-new bathroom installation. The caulk is still firmly attached, yet mold is appearing underneath and throughout the bottom seam. At the very least, I expect Five Star to come out, inspect the installation, determine what is causing the problem, and properly correct it. The worst part of this experience has been the complete lack of customer service after the sale. I have called the Arlington location multiple times asking for someone to come out and inspect the issue under the warranty. I have not been given an appointment or even received a meaningful response. I also contacted the company's national customer-service/sales line, only to be told that all they could do was send another message to the Arlington office. I then sent a formal written warranty request by email, and I still received no response. That is unacceptable. Five Star advertises a lifetime warranty and emphasizes that its warranty is locally serviced. When you spend a significant amount of money on a professionally installed bathroom, you shouldn't have to repeatedly call, email, and chase the company down just to get someone to acknowledge a problem only four months after installation. I am extremely disappointed--not necessarily because something went wrong, because problems can happen with any installation, but because Five Star has shown virtually no urgency or accountability in addressing the problem. I sincerely hope someone eventually takes responsibility and comes out to inspect and properly resolve this. If they do, I will gladly update this review to reflect how the situation was handled. For now, however, I cannot recommend Five Star Bath Solutions of Arlington based on my experience with their post-installation warranty service and customer support.

We agreed on his very reasonable estimate and the project began! I wanted to completely remove our existing shower and tub and make the tub are our new shower and the previous shower would become a an area for storage. He showed up to help me get tile and we got a great mix of tiles for our bathroom and we couldn't be happier! Fernando helped with all the tiling and a separate group of guys helped with the finishings and drywalls. Daniel's plumber is fantastic and you can tell that all these workers pay attention to detail and have worked in nice homes and do great work. This was so different than my previous experience which was mediocre. As the project finished, we were just so happy and I don't think you could get a better result in the very reasonable price range that Daniel offers.
