My hubby wanted a slice of pizza and we were strategically going by this place near our hotel. He ordered medium pepperoni pizza and I wandered over to the fish place right next door. More on that later! The pizza arrived when he was half way through his first beer. It looked terrific and he waited a bit for it to cool down, and the first bite he took was good. Not great, but mind you we're from Jersey, the land of absolutely great pizza, so this was passable. Now to my fish story - I didn't want any pit, so I inquired if they had fresh rockfish, which I had the night before. The chef said yes, took my order, and even brought it out to me in the pizza area. It was sheer perfection on my plate!! The two pieces of rockfish were lightly breaded and pan fried til done, with fries on the side. Who knew fish perfection could be just next door!! The owners appeared hard working friendly individuals who went out of their normal way to make two friends over a small weekday dinner. The guy behind the counter was a nice Jamaican fella but the pizza is barely ok and probably 2.5 stars. I wish they made it a unique Alaska pizza with reindeer sausage instead of generic Italian. It is an easy pass unless you are really desperate for a slice. read more

Stopped here for pizza post a 6 hour cruise. The person taking our order did not speak English very well which was a challenge. We ordered a vegetarian large pizza. Was big enough for our family of four. A little on the pricey side but then everything in Seward is expensive. We were all super hungry post the cruise and ended up devouring the pizza. I'm he pizzeria doesn't look like anything special but the pizza is pretty good! They seek personal pies for $14 with you to 5 toppings and they are very generous with how many toppings they put per pizza. There isn't really anything going on inside decoration wise but why would you want to sit in if you have the beautiful Seward landscape right in front of you. read more

Not too bad. Wasn't amazing tho, and was definitely undercooked. After taking my pizza out of the oven, the lady couldn't get my pizza off of the metal pan because the dough was stuck to it. Which usually is a pretty telling sign of it being undercooked when the dough is still stretchy, but they gave it to me anyway. Also, the price needs to go down compared to the quality you're getting. With a little more training for the staff, and longer cooking times, I think this could be a good pizza place. read more

The pizza was expensive and not very tasty. I don't think that any of the staff was from America, as everyone was chattering away in Spanish(?). I asked for some red pepper flakes, as you get in most pizzerias, and was given black pepper packets LOL. I thought pizza couldn't be bad, leave it to Seward AK to debunk this myth. The crust is the most annoying part. It is very thin in the middle, but very thick on the crust. This means you make a huge mess while trying to eat the bulk of the pizza, but then get to enjoy a thick, gummy crust. The sauce is probably out of a can. The toppings are bad. The prices are aren't quite felony-level, but solidly misdemeanor. I'd say skip, but restaurants in Seward generally suck. read more

The pizza was okay. It was made like a major pizza chain meaning it was like a Ford factory for pizza. The cashier asked us if we'd like our pizza to go or in restaurant. We said in restaurant and it came out in a box. I can see dishes in the kitchen. I know it's later in the evening but the whole team wasn't trying much (they might have been understaffed considering they left a bell at each counter for customers to alert the cashiers). Also, the beer needs to be ordered from the other side of the restaurant rather than where the pizza is ordered (we were not notified of this until investigation). A couple team members were leisurely taking a break at a table and having loud conversations in another language). It is tourist season and I understand but I wouldn't comeback after this experience. read more

Visited Seward for 3 days to hike. Not much was open so we gave this place a shot. The pizza was a solid 3.5 stars -- totally decent, nothing to write home about, and not a place I'd ever eat if it was located where I live, but fine for vacation when you're limited with few options and hungry. A few notes -- the staff was very nice, but the person who made my pizza did not seem to know how to properly make a pizza. We ordered a veggie pizza and had to ask them to put on more of everything, as they barely put any toppings at all on -- mind you, at $2 per topping this was a bit frustrating to see 4 pieces of spinach on our pizza. Labor Day weekend We walked in to to have dinner 45min before closing. We were told we could order 3 pizzas and eat them there before they closed. Went to go sit down on the other side of the restaurant I was told we couldn't sit there and they where closing. When I told them we asked if we could eat in, they said we no longer could since they were closing.
